She didn't sign my CD. No way I was leaving without an autograph so I ran to the other side hahaha!

And then... at 45:33 the miracle happens!!

I had requests to show the precious thing, so here it is I purposely chose that single to tell her that

I still love her/et je t'aime encore even after 30 years. I've been collecting for a while now, but this CD

is p-r-i-c-e-l-e-s-s and I will cherish it forever.

 

I still can't believe that I got her attention so that she grabs my gift...

Hey guys! A bit late but here's a short summary/opinion of my show last night (the premier in Québec City). I don't know really where to start since pretty much everything has been said in this topic. I was scared to be disappointed as most comments here are, how can I say, over the top? ahah But guys, we were right!!! It was me 7th Celine show and probably like my 100th show over all in my life and it has been the best one!! I'm still having hard time to put words on what I witnessed/seen/lived (and believe me, as a lawyer, words are usually not my weakness ahaha)! I left the show with feelings of happiness, because that woman is a superwoman, sadness as she lost a big part of her life and basically part of who she is but yet surprised to have the feeling to have met a new Céline. This show hasn't been built like the other ones that I've been. I have the feeling to have seen a show of Céline the singer, the artist, the manager, the artistic director, the boss and the human being. I can't help but wondered: why only now? why that didn't happen before? Was she scared? Scared of what? to face René or to disappoint him by taking control of her career? Anyways, the show itself is a proof that she was more than ready to take control and guys she enjoys herself like never before!!

 

Anyways, my personal favorite moments: i) Immensité that she enjoyed so much, ii) Je t'aime encore during which I cried (and i never cry ahah no kidding here), iii) the Because you loved me/IACBTMN/POL for the public's reaction itself; iv) Ordinaire; and v) the final with SSDA and Vole - I was speechlessed.

 

I thank life to have let me witnessed that very particular moment in Celine's life. Just bought new tickets for Thursday show (bye bye money hello mastercard!!)

 

 

I have seen the show three times now, once in Paris and twice in Montreal and it got better every time.

 

I don't agree that she was scared to ask to take more control of her career or that she was being held back by Rene in this respect. Let's face it, without Rene's motivation she may well have stopped quite a long time ago. I think that her grief has in a way given her an energy that wasn't there before, an intensity of emotion which could only have been brought about by that sort of trauma. At the end of the day she is performing so well because she is doing it for him!

 

It is just sad that the irony of this is that he didn't get to see this. I imagine he would be very proud of her if he could.

Exactly. I don't want to get all philisophical or get in a debate about after-life or not, but I believe he IS seeing it. Sometimes it takes removal of our greatest trasure to bring out our own. Losing my sight did that to me in a way, and this is doing it to her. I am sure the show has gotten better as time has gone on, and I love it.

Come on now. With your lawyer fees, you can make twice the cost of tickets in just 2 hours.

it's always been 50-50 and when he passed away, he left his 50% to Céline. So now she is 100%."

This is true she just said that but she has also mentioned that anything business related he always took care of and she never talked business, never even went to meetings. So there she goes again embellishing.

Well definitely now since he has passed. I love how she says she contributes in the meetings, sometimes good and sometimes not so good! She said recently something about how she thinks Aldo wished she was less present with ideas, Something like that, paraphrased there.

I'm not sure that contributing in meetings means she's involved in the business side of it. . maybe in a very general way, in terms of the types of things she wants to be doing (like whether she wants to do a lifestyle brand). But she's always been so adamant that she wants nothing to do with the business stuff -- the contracts, the money, release dates of albums -- I just can't see her suddenly being all into talking business. And she said recently (some time after Aldo took over) that she didn't want to manage herself (didn't want to be choosing which talk shows to do, that kind of thing).

And people wonder why I'm wanting to ask about a Vegas dvd from now.... come on if they don't release this one (one of her best French shows or any show in YEARS)then I have zero hope in us getting one for Vegas unless someone directly asks about it.

the vegas dvd is a given after the show finishes in 2019. the french dvd is a possibility in between the french and english albums i would expect

that would be horrible and I could just not believe why. To make people attend her shows? That's stupid...

 

Releasing a DVD is just a win-win situation cause she performs the concert anyway, so why not filming it and then selling it worldwide, make money and make fans happy? What is the problem? I just don't get it...

Alas this could be acces illimite again. They filmed in Paris both in 2013 and 2016. There was a cameraman walking through the audience even. They did record during pqtme, tsmgo and mhwgo

For a professional DVD to be released, I think we would have seen cameras on stage and at the edge of the stage by now. The cameras we are seeing in fan videos are for the screens for the audiences in the back. Just like any other DVD she has released, you notice the cameras on stage and at the edge of the stage being remotely controlled.

 

I'm not saying that there isn't a camera production team there filming for Shows like Access Illimite and some behind the scenes clips but as professional DVD goes, I have not seen a pro production team in any live streams or fan videos so far. I may be wrong and I might eat my own hat on this but so far I truly think there hasn't been a pro recording!!

Don't forget guys that she might also be recording for personal reasons. If I were her and my twins were so young I would want to have my performances in videos for them to see later.

Her Team is really annoying me right now in terms of the DVD....

 

Until now they did a good job, but not releasing this show on DVD is not acceptable! Don't screw it up Aldo!
