While I love Celine being at number 1, we all know that Madonna is going to knock her right down with her tour. It's inevitable.

Technically, just because every ticket wasn't sold, doesn't mean it wasn't sold out. Actually, technically it does mean that, but there's certain benchmarks usually that are set to equate an sold out show. If i remember correctly, Also said they sold out 9 shows before opening night's performance.

 

7/10 is actually really good considering the circumstances. Fans travel, ticket prices, no promotion, etc.

 

She's doing exceptionally well.

And the fact that most of the other performers had other acts with them, besides Taylor Swift everyone had a supporting act. That's huge when you consider she did ten shows. I mean Celine is Celine, she is and will probably always be the most profitable singer in Caesars Palace. Cher started out good but then her show at the end just lost everything, Shania Twain for the most part kept a steady audience and I would place her behind Celine when it comes to the sales of her shows.

 

I also read that the show is stopping next year and that even Wikipedia has on the residency show page that the show is done in 2016. Makes me wonder if they've already decided to do the albums and maybe do a tour. But wasn't the show suppose to go on till 2021?

I remember them saying they wanted too. But I don't think it was ever finalized.

They definitely decides to do the albums, but the material is unknown to us and probably them as well. For now, I think they're focused on changes to the show and wrapping up next year. And Rene of course. But I think once she finishes in January, they'll think more about the albums and tours.

Not really. Just alot of different pronunciations. And nasal backing in '07-'12. In 2013, she really started to lighten up on the nasality, and as of now is very similar to '99-02.

Yes.. but what i mean is her VOICE for MHWGO...compared with TPOL that we know her voice changed much.

Yeah, I think the way she use to pronounce Her words play a big role on her voice now. She use to say “leeedddaaayyy". Now she actually says “lady“.

 

I don't know, it's weird.

Aldo said that the first 3 shows were sold out before the opening night. And that was not true because we still could buy tickets for the 2sd and 3rd show. I guess she had good publicity after the 1st night.

 

Céline is still the best Vegas headliner. The queen. She had 7 sold out shows ouf of 10. After almost 10 years of residency. I don't know what some people want more...

 

If you compare... Mariah Carey couldn't sell out her first 6 shows! She was backed up by 18 #1s, a new best of , a new single and she did some of the highest rated tv shows to promote it.

 

And then you have Céline who not only didn't do anything but told the world her husband was about to die. That's not really the best reason to book as risks of cancellation are higher...

As much as I love seeing Celine number 1,looking at this its hard to compare really. I mean, Celine did loads of shows compared to others where it was 1 or 2. But then you have to consider the venue size and ticket prices. It's a bit misleading if you just look at part of it.

Great she's back though. This time next week!

 

 

I thought the thing of the price too when I saw it, but, well... we've got to say that she's able to sell tickets of $ 500 ... I mean... $ 500!!!

The first time I saw the prices of the tickets front row I was like :jawdrop: ... and she sells them!!!! Chapeau Madame!!!

What I think they're going to do is add 30 more shows before August 27, 2016 to fulfill the 70 shows per year. Then after that maybe tour depending on the health situation. Did they say the French album is releasing in the Spring or fall of next year? Maybe she would do a mini french tour (Canada) in the fall after Vegas.

Accoustic medley

My heart will go on

 

I love the improves that she does before the accoustic medley.

 

 

Less favorite,

 

Opening - I don't like the opening song as opening

I surrender would work next to Show must go on in my opinion

River deep mountain high - a lit bit tired of the song, maybe because always comes after Love can move, would work better as opening song, not using the same curtain effect

I Love the new show but for me the opening song should be The reason. (curtain drops in the first chorus). Besides that, songs I would love to hear her sing:

Declaration of love instead of Love can move mountains

I love the show just the way it is now. It is much much better than when she started it. The only change I would make is to remove the Jazz segment and replace it with 2 other songs

Not to crazy about the outfits, I do like the outfits from her Paris/ Bercy show better, as for the songs I would not change the opening, but put SLS r Thankful or Thank You , WAAF, If there was any other way,, Think Twice,If that's what it takes,

Only thing I would change, take out jazz melody and add " Falling Into You" and " je ne vous oublie pas" in its spot! And maybe make the medley a little longer.

With the medley, I see it as the easiest segment for celine and team to swap some songs in and out. I dont necessarily see the point in making the medley longer. In terms of a 90 minute show, it's plenty long enough. But what I would like is for celine and team to be more spontaneous with this segment and do kinda what she wants at the moment. Over time we would have videos of several songs and it would be a nice and fresh way to keep the show just slightly different from one night to the next. It would also add to the excitement of seeing the show several times in a week lol.

If they think to add a second French song to the show, I would vote for Je Crois Toi I think it would be amazing in the acoustics of the Colosseum and would be an amazing instrumental for a costume change like they did for USF/Bercy. :)
