scielle Posted April 8, 2017 at 08:11 PM Posted April 8, 2017 at 08:11 PM (edited) LOL "cult agency"?! It's anything but! It's one of the biggest talent management power-houses on the planet. God, I hope that doesn't happen. Just imagine Celine in the clutches of Ari Emanuel. The man is a maniac! (And I have it on good authority that the real-life Ari is far worse than the fictionalized Ari in Entourage. One of my MBA professors was writing a Harvard Business School case study about Ari / IMG / WME, and he was several months into the research and about 90% done, and then as a final hurrah went to observe Ari at work for several days... and he nixed the project. Said the man is bordering on psychopathic and an absolute monster to everyone around him and that he can't possibly condone that kind of behavior and preach it as an example in business schools!) CelinesDIVO5 Posted April 8, 2017 at 09:23 PM Posted April 8, 2017 at 09:23 PM Has anyone even thought that maybe it wasn't as abrupt for Celine and co. as it was for us? This may have been coming for a little while. Just because it was announced just the other day, doesn't mean that is exactly when it happened. We don't know what goes on behind the scenes. This may have already been brewing, and there doesn't seem to be any animosity from either side. 6 Quote https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PL54qnRGM2gMatthew Charles - "Fix You" - Live at The Stonewall InnStonewall Sensation - Season 15Originally written and performed by Coldplay

That's not exactly much notice. 2 Quote

Contractually, sure. But you would think anyone who genuinely cared about their employer would want to ensure a smooth transition and not leave them hanging, especially in a situation where they're clearly a 'key man'.Plus Aldo had a full year to get up to speed and get his ducks in a row, while Celine was away from the business looking after Rene.Whoever takes over for him will not have that luxury. And it's not exactly a job for which you can just hire somebody off the street. 3 Quote

Krys Posted April 9, 2017 at 03:30 AM Posted April 9, 2017 at 03:30 AM They announced him when he became Celine manager, now they wont say he left? Quite possibly the social media team is not ready if there's a backlash. It's also a PR nightmare if things went viral. 1 Quote

I don't believe that being so close, for so long, that he would up and leave with only 10 days notice if he hadn't a good reason. If it was something that happened to cause some terrible friction, most people would just up and leave without any notice. I know I have. celinesounds Posted April 9, 2017 at 08:49 PM Posted April 9, 2017 at 08:49 PM (edited) maybe she will move to Paris and do a residency show @ Olympia if JJG will take care of her career besides i was happy with Aldo, he brought her back to the media before the new English album, it was a smart move Edited April 9, 2017 at 08:50 PM by celinesounds Quote #FREEJAVITO
angelil78 Posted April 9, 2017 at 08:53 PM Posted April 9, 2017 at 08:53 PM some guy on Twitter mentioned that the rumor was that Garou would be her manager. But I think that's more of a wishful thinking from than a rumor. I love Jean-Jacques Goldman. It would be a dream come true if he would sing with her in Paris this summer! But as a manager, he's 65.. I'm hoping for someone younger to manage Céline this time Quote
scielle Posted April 9, 2017 at 08:59 PM Posted April 9, 2017 at 08:59 PM Why would that even be a consideration?JJG is a singer-songwriter, which does not a manager make. He's got no experience in the English market. Plus he's pretty adamantly retired. Quote
nuts2you Posted April 9, 2017 at 09:32 PM Posted April 9, 2017 at 09:32 PM I think we might hear something when she has a break in 2 weeks , when her last show will be on April 22, Quote

I suspect that for a family stability (living in a normal way which is no traveling around the world) Aldo's gf (she is not his wife & regarding to kids age) might gave him pressure 'work 100% & I leave you or quit & stay as one with this family)I presume it would have not be easy these past years for himIf Celine is fine with this decision then it means she understood clearly the situation. Also I don't think this leaving will impact her summer tour that has been already planned 1 Quote
idroveallnight Posted April 10, 2017 at 11:23 PM Posted April 10, 2017 at 11:23 PM I am certain Rene had a short list of men to manage her in the event something like this were to occur. Given the stress of this job literally killed him, he obviously knew what qualities it would take for someone to fill his shoes. Aldo probably found it impossible to manage Celine and still maintain some kind of personal life (and I am sure money definitely had something to do with it). What I also noticed is that Michel has stuck by his sister's side unconditionally (I'm sure partly at the request of Rene: wherever Aldo goes, you go with him). I am grateful for all the he did while in office though. Celine's social media profile became elevated like never before, her image is much more polished, and he is showcasing her in the way that we the fans know and appreciate her. I'll miss you Aldo. Onto the next man on Rene's list. 2 Quote
québecflower Posted April 10, 2017 at 11:30 PM Posted April 10, 2017 at 11:30 PM i don't know if i should find it funny or be sad that people are convinced that only René was able to find the right person for Celine... idroveallnight Posted April 11, 2017 at 01:09 AM Posted April 11, 2017 at 01:09 AM Only men? Knowing the traditionalist Rene was, yes, I would say so. It is my firm belief that he wanted make sure she would be very well protected after his passing, and given that show business is full of scumbags and leaches who will take advantage of her immense kindness this may have been his solution to curtail such issues. Obviously I would hope there's more gender diversity on that list but in the end it comes down to Celine's preference. Quote
