Yes, it was right after she talked about the crockpots!! It's at 12:10 of this video -- I still can't understand everything she's saying, but I think she says that Rene wanted RC to be her manager one day, and she seemed to be laughing because Rene was imagining her career going on forever, from generation to generation, when she's like 90 years old and still singing CNQR. It's particularly funny because RC would have been only 6 years old when this was recorded. But does anyone know exactly what she says?

It's not like Céline has to arrange the dry cleaning and the payment of her hundreds of employees or check that all the bulbs work in the Colosseum lights... there's no need to worry and if anything, there'll be another injection of something creative if someone new comes in. i think that it would not be the first time she would be overworked. As much as they had a closed relationship, René did make Celine work her #ss off big time, from 95 to 2000, and from 2002 to 2008. It is a bit curious that they erased the Vegas date after publishing them. Something did happen very quick, and as always we won't know the truth about it.

Celine should stop Vegas, do mini tour around the world , sell the Vegas home, come back to quebec or go see Europe. And do some real artsy things for albums, it would be a nice change. If she still needs money, then i think that something is not right, She can sing and do less money.

What my thought was that he took that decision to do those extra vegas shows and she waa not happy with that and got an argument with him about that. Then she quitted those dates?

But he was good for her career.

Wonder what will happen now, and who will be her new manager.

It's not that Aldo was all new, Rene trusted him and it was sort of natural that he would be her manager.

Well I'm not that worried. I hope all is well with Aldo and his family, but celine has a very good head on her. She's more used to making decisions now more than ever, and didn't Aldo say he was co-manager, alongside celine?

Appointing another manager (unless there's already someone in mind) won't be something she'll rush into. Surely celine will want someone like minded, who wants the same things as her. Can't see her ever appointing someone who changes everything and ends up upsetting everyone.

Wonder if she'll say anything during tonight's show?

It's indeed unexpected, but so far nothing to worry. I tend to believe to the official statement, Celine is one of the biggest artists, it's really a very demanding job.

And I liked overall how Also handled everything, of course it could be better in some aspects, but could be worse as well lol. I think this forum proves enough that there is no way to have 100% of fans happy with the decisions they make Anyway, the best is always yet to come

I don't think so. Michel is too old and inexperienced and while he's doing a good job being a stage/tour manager, that's it. Being a full time manager would be too much for him. And I think he wouldn't want the job. Patrick is too soft and hasn't played an important part of her team for a while now.

 

It should be someone with a good deal of experience and who has a big network in the bizz. He or she should also be younger be able to think outside the box (which is something Céline('s career) needs).

If Celine goes with an organisation rather than one person joining hers I'd be tempted to say RZO in New York. Clients like Bowie, Lennon, Shania to name a few.

That's right, however for that to happen a change in her record label should be followed hand-in-hand with it.

 

It's been a long while since it's clear Sony Music's formula with her is over, they have done everything they could for her and she's not growing there anymore as a recording artist, so a change in her record label that allows her to keep growing and bring some fresh air and new ideas to her releases, that would help also with the job of a new personal management. But... it ain't gonna happen, we know that.

I don't think that's it. She has a contract that says she does a specific amount of shows per year. Aldo can't just add a bunch of dates outside of the contract and say "this is what we're doing."

It is very strange to me, these statements that he left to have more time for family, as he left his hands tied and has a tour coming, he could by letting the tour pass that is an exhausting work and that has many decisions to Take and then would have left.

 

Aldo left her at a not very good moment, it is a lot to think about, to make decisions, to sign contracts, I am not talking here that she is not capable, yes she is capable, more will be overwhelmed and will be the "new thing" for She, if he did it after the summer shows, it would be more praiseworthy for him, more decent, excuse me what I'm going to write now, to me he was mean to her.

 

 

Certainly something more serious happened and maybe we'll never know what it is.
