So, both Céline and Mariah doesn't have a manager right now

So do we know anything else about Team Celine these days?

Dennis Savage overseeing the tours, John Delp of Sony overseeing the album, Dave Patel hanging around at various public appearances so presumably taking care of bookings etc... who else?

Michel keeping the Barbara's at a distance..

Where was Michel at the beginning when babs was humping Celine on stage?

Also, thanks to babs.. team Celine started the “social distancing” long before this year.

Well, as part of the ICM reporting, we get confirmation (for the first time, I believe), that Aldo was, in fact, fired.

Why was he fired? Did he do something wrong? Is this like a Selena-Yolanda the manager issue?

Well, it looks like despite all there is an agreement/contract between them:

Prinz began representing Dion in 1989 and had previously negotiated his commission with Angélil who passed away in 2016. When Angélil became too sick to manage Dion, longtime collaborator Aldo Giampaolo took over management and agreed to continue paying Prinz the 1.5-3% commission structure approved by Angélil. Dion, however, says Prinz took advantage of the situation.

This part made me laugh: :D

Dion’s attorneys first argued that the payments were part of a new contract that never was finalized, then Dion apparently contradicted her team when she testified that “Prinz never agreed to a new contract and Dion paid him ‘to be nice.’”

I undestand her perspective here; however, there is a contract between them, and a contract is a contract.

“When Rene was alive, he took care of my business and was always very fair with the people we worked with, and he taught me to be the same,” Dion told Billboard in a statement. “Because he wasn’t here to stand up for me at the hearing, I feel like Mr. Prinz and ICM took advantage with their demands for money and revealing confidential information about my AEG deal. I feel betrayed.”

It's really unfortunate that they revealed all her business and all the specific numbers. I can totally see why she feels betrayed. I'm really curious how this truns out. But I feel like her chances to win this are really small. I wonder why there are no pics of her on the way to the court. It would be cool to see her again, and how she looks when she goes to a court lol Edited by ryba

All I can tell you is that A LOT of what you just posted above did not end up in Céline’s or Feeling/CDA accounts. Plus, she owns a lot of very valuable stuff (property, shares, etc.) which contribute to her net worth.

Nothing wrong that I know of. He was just doing what René would’ve done.

Where is Patrick anyways?

Probably enjoying life somewhere out of the public eye.

it looks like after Renes death Celine started to believe that she knows it all and doesn’t need any guidance. I understand that she is very careful about the people around her now, and she must be, but good management is missing unfortunately Edited by ryba

Selfishly, I’m glad they released those numbers. I always wondered how much Céline makes per tour show. I knew it’s around $1 million but it’s nice getting confirmation.

I just read that on Aldos LinkedIn profile:

„Initiated the start-up and launch of Ms. Dion’s global lifestyle brand and rebranding of the artist’s image“

I think it’s very true. He had a plan with her. The fashion icon direction was apparently also his idea. Before, people just laught at her and it was so uncool to like her. Now she does the most ridiculous and weird things and is admired for it. Good things came out of the Aldo era.

I think he had more plans into rebranding than just the fashion part.

I think part of it was the bag collection, and I think there were plans for a home collection. Though I'm glad that isn't happening.

It literally was his job to keep her in the public eye, I remember him telling that one time.

And it was true, in that short amount of time she popped up everywhere.

Red carpets, tribute shows, songs in tv specials.

That part he definitely did an amazing job. Even the social media was on fire.

More real behind the scenes instead of the posed and overthinked posts they do these days.

Sometimes the behind the scene pictures were a bit blurry.

And he was really really interested what the fans wanted to see and hear from Céline.

I love her and she is a grown up woman. But she definitely needs a real manager who is capable of what René had envisioned for the next couple of years.

Really? So, where did it go? I mean, the properties will not worth at least 400M

Yup. After all of these years.

She does need someone like Aldo back! She is not just any artist. She has SO much potential. And she has shown that just by being a fashion icon now and starring in movies.

This is very true.

I agree, she is obviously holding on to a small group around her. But then you can narrow yourself down too much. Like giving 4 different roles to a random young Spanish dancer you have only just met and publically throwing all your weight behind him.

I am not trying to reopen any debate about him, but real management and people with experience may have been wiser than just holding on to a new friend who you like.

But then she has clearly been in a bad place since Rene's death and personally surrounding herself with friends maybe feels better to her than continuing her career in a more constructive way.

She just a need manager. It's so simple. Céline grew up focusing on her singing Rene took all the stress like any managers do. And Rene likes Céline just to focus on singing.

I thought Rene was teaching his son, Patrick in managing Céline's career but... Patrick is nowhere to be found. Btw, Where is he?

And most of the members here said that Dave Platel is one of Céline's manager.. Is this really true?

Pepe is not management. He picks out dresses for her lol. And Celine only spoke out for him when rumors started to go wild, and when asked about him in interviews...back in 2017. He has nothing to do with management and contract negotiations. I know you said you didn’t seek to open a debate about Pepe again, but I just had to point out the difference and say that he is totally separate from making career decisions.

Thanks for that. Of course I know he isn't management. My point was that he clearly has a lot of influence on her and has multiple rolls beyond just dressing her. Trying to think back to the interview she gave in Paris a couple of years ago when she listed them. And yes she only spoke about him when the rumours got to much for her. But before speaking about him she was constantly being photographed everywhere with him and seen with him.

Anyway enough about that! Let's move on.

The point of my post was that more experienced people around her in her career would be wise and someone acting as her manager would help the situation. I can understand why now she is on her own it is probably hard for her to know who to trust though.

Honestly, I think Pepe is probably one of the few who was a good choice. Because, well, he is a legitimate fan of Celine even before knowing her. She needs people who love her for her and for her music, and on top of that people who are young and know how this new industry works and knows about social media.

Yes, it’s true. It’s Dave Platel and Denis Savage managing Céline’s career right now. With all the experience they both have, you’d expect them to be pretty good. I don’t know what went wrong. Maybe it’s Céline’s involvement?
