New performance of MHWGO I posted (from the UNICEF Gala in 1997). It's definitely one of the better ones! In my top three. With it being the first live performance (in full length and with a live band; second actually, Rosie O'Donnell was first).

I found ABM without "dooon't wanna live" but with "don't waaaaana live". It's heavily mixed though.

 

 

Hehe, the way you describe your videos is a little bit funny Tyler. You wrote ABM is belted and TPOL is high while they're both belted. I wouldn't call note from TPOL high. It's very hard due to its lenght, vibrato and power but it's not that high. And note from Taking chances is high but it's belted too xDD. Actually they're all belted except BYLM high note which is head voice.

 

Suggestions? ABM ending line - "don't wanna live by myself anymore by myself anymooooooooore". There are some high quality videos with it from Taking chances Tour so it would be good comparision with endings from 90's. And we have breathtaking ending from australia.

Oops. That was a mistake on TPOL. I meant to put belted.

 

And I thought that for something to be belted it had to be CHEST voice. Aren't the TC notes head voice?

To be belted note may be mixed as well, so combine chest voice with head voice. And TC notes are actually heavily mixed so they have a little bit chest and much head but when note has even a little bit chest resonanse it's belted. Of course it's harder to belt in pure chest voice, mixing makes note easier to sing. One dude on youtube, chimier constantly complain about Celine's mixing. He says Celine's belts are always mixed above Eb5 which is false of course. I'm searching high notes from Alone at the moment for my video (I'll upload it tomorrow) and I've just found pure chest voice F5 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kys1Wq6tt6c Too bad she switched into mixed G5 in europe. Of course belting A5-C6 in mixed voice are hard and not every mixed belt must be easy to sing. For example, I think Mariah would never belt D5 from Sonia Benezra TPOL which was mixed like hell but sustained with vibrato for long time and with power.

There are some great Alone note videos from when she performed it the album way. One in Korea though, while live, is not well synced (the video and audio), so it looks like it's lipped, but it's not. If you use that one, try to match the syncing.

 

I'm thinking of possibly making a video for best live notes of the tour. So far this is what can be used:

She sang ''That's Just The Woman In Me'' in SA and I think KL. Not sure about Australia. Don't bite my head off... but I think Tyler might be right... don't think it was live... maybe just parts of it... :shrug:

 

Tyler: Isn't there some notes of ''The Prayer'' you can also use? And what about ''Dans Un Autre Monde'' and ''Et S'il N'En Restait Qu'une (Je Serais Celle-Là)''?

You make all high quality high notes compilations and you said you'll never use "those crappy quality bootlegs from the tour" so I started making videos with notes from tour. And since then I've been planning to make video with greatest notes from tour but first I must make video with high notes from each song. So far I've done videos with notes from It's A Man's World, Think Twice and Fade Away and I'm doing Alone this week (I'll upload it next weekend). Of course you'll do what you want but I'll do TC Tour greatest notes video too. And I'll use also long vibrato high notes and long vibrato note from The Prayer, notes from Fade Away ("oooooooh" from Pretoria and "leeet the clouds" from Pretoria which was chesty F#5) and all those you mentioned.

Maybe, I don't really know. That song bores me to the point where I still haven't been able to finish it once yet, LOL.

 

Yeah, DUAM and ESNRQ should probably be included too. The only comparison I have done for TJTWIM was the last 20 seconds, which sounded the same. So I'd say it is lipped. But it doesn't make sense for them to make a playback track to use for only 2 months.

TPOL from Sonia Benezra: she reached Eb5 for a second at the begining, then sustained note at D5 for 6 seconds and then lowerd it to fourth octave for 4 seconds.

 

Lol, I never listened to whole I'm your angel and I love The Prayer. I think you should add high notes and long note from TP to your greatest notes video, it's much more impressive than notes from Ten Days or Caalling You you used.

Yeah, and someone commented saying wow, its amazing how someone can ignore all those technical problems and give such and emotional performance.. Its true, I love the regular version with all the instruments but this version is amazing too with just her and the piano.. :stereo: :hdlove:

Well, technically no, because it is shot in a studio, and not in front of an audience of some sort.

 

But yes, the audio and the video do match together, therefore it is live in that sense.

I didn't compare TR recording sessions with CD version of the song but I think it sounds different. If it was live that's great because she hit there her most powerful Eb5 and PURE chest voice G5 which is very hard to do.

0:53 F#5, 2:49 F5 3:00 F5 3:08 hit F#5 I believe. :)
