CelineFanInSoCal Posted April 21, 2009 at 04:00 PM Posted April 21, 2009 at 04:00 PM Can we stop the playback talk please? You can't convince each other, so believe what you want to believe. We don't want to see more playback talk on the forum not because we don't admit it, but because every time it turns into fight no one can convince each other. So please stop it. I am new on forum and I want to know the truth, sorry. So I have a question to roberry. She didn't lip-sync 'anymore' note on every concert but she always sang it with support of backing track. She was starting singing it when the backing track kicked off. And only live performance of ABM with live 'anymore' note was on the first concert. Am I right? I guess I'll have to send you a private message. We've apparently been told not to freely discuss all aspects of Celine, but only the sugar-coated parts here on the forum. LOL. Censorship to the max. Maybe we should just have an official thread about lipping, make it a sticky and let the wars begin. LMAO.

If you really go through all the videos of ABM you'll find them. But roberry and Tyler are trying to convince everyone that the video they have posted is the only time she sang the big note live. And I just find the video suspicious because the audio of that video does not match the audios of other videos of that particular performance... There is also a website address in the middle of the video that they have posted that makes me wonder if it is the correct audio. http://i993.photobucket.com/albums/af51/ClaudetteRobinson/esme.jpg

But by that logic, she re-records her playback tracks all the time, but we know that's not the case. She uses the same track over and over and over again. As far as ABM on this tour, the entire song seems to be live, and she uses a backing track during the big "anymore" in the middle, but her vocals appear to be mixed with it, so you can hear both her live vocals and the backing track, which is why there's slight intonation differences in some of the vids on youtube, but the overall sound, length, pitch, and tone remain the same in most of the vids. She seems to be doing what lots of other singers do on tour, and use a backing track to simply support her vocals during a crucial part of the song. I prefer this over the flat out miming she does with other songs... we at least get to hear what's coming out of her mouth this way.

What are you talking about re-recording her playback tracks all the time? I'm sorry, I don't get where you get that from my previous post... I know she sang the entire ABM live. I just got the impression that sometimes she lipped the big note and other times she sang it live. But all the times that she did use the track it was the same one she used from the beginning. I did not mean that she re-recorded the big note all the time. If that is what you are saying... http://i993.photobucket.com/albums/af51/ClaudetteRobinson/esme.jpg
Tyler1991 Posted April 24, 2009 at 08:46 PM Posted April 24, 2009 at 08:46 PM In response to the web address in the middle, it's not an address...All it is is a watermark saying, "edited with an un-licensed version of AVS Video Editor 4". Which is basically the same thing as Windows Movie Maker. The only thing I edited was cutting the video from 6 minutes to 1:15 (because only 1:15 of it was the song..). And that was the ONLY thing edited. =) Anyway, I just wanted to clear that up.

And [im guessing] no one knew that Celine was being carted in a box, to the stage, hahaha! Crazy! I remember watching that TV Special. So cool to see. That made the start of the show/her entrance even more dramatic, especially compared to her kinda just strolling out to the stage with some body guards with flashlights like the TC Tour. And remember, at the time, the LTAL Tour was the biggest/most elaborate tour she had embarked on, so she and her team were really in the mindset to do some interesting stuff. And I really don't think it bothered Celine to get in a box and be rolled out to the stage every night. It was all done as part of the show, and despite a sometimes rocky trip from backstage to under-stage, she made it through just fine. Why does TLYM sound so familiar? LOL. :whistling:
