Yes, the lady is talking, and it may be slightly hard to hear, but one should be able to hear it enough to know it is clearly without a shadow of doubt 100% different then the rest. I downloaded that video from the site below and did not edit it (feel free to download it yourself if you don't believe me). As it is an official video from some news source, I'd say it is the correct audio. Edit: *blocked URL removed*Do NOT try to get pass from our URL filter. We have good reason to ban that URL from the forum. So don't try to mention the site here again. Additionally, I'm not that skilled with video editing to edit the video in the first place. Nor do I think it would be even possible to remove Celine's voice, but not the lady talking, and then replace it with a different set of audio under the lady who is still talking. Maybe it's possible, I have no idea. Too complex for me to deal with. In addition, the video in your quote has had the audio changed. The original poster of the video in your quote (it's on YT a few times, don't know who it is for sure) has said somewhere (don't know where, someone told me this) that he changed the audio on his video because the quality was bad. As you notice in the video, there is a slight change in the sound just before the bog note. Pshaw... we've only seen it a hand full of times, and it's always when someone puts the vocals from a live performance over the video of a performance where the song was lipped, in an effort to sway people in to thinking the song is *always* live. The video that everyone is saying has been edited or altered or whatever hasn't been. If I remember correctly, we don't have much footage from the opening night/opening performances of the tour, with the exception of press/news footage, which most of the time had reporter talking over most of the singing. Go to youtube, or the site that tyler1991 posted and see the original vid for yourself. Regardless, the clip of Celine on Star Academy, talking about being ill/throat issues, does in fact prove that a backing track is in place during ABM's big note. The rest is live, sure, but the BIG "anymore" is helped out with a backing track. The start of the word is way to "thick" sounding compared to every other word in the song. She starts to sing it, then the track kicks in... they're either blended together, or her mic is turned completely off, but something is going on during the big note. It's painfully obvious. I don't know what computer or speakers some of you are using, but on my end, it's very audible that she wasn't in sync with the track. There's no way an entire song can sound, well, not so good, because a singer is ill, and all of a sudden a huge, powerful note in the middle sounds phenomenal, then it goes back to sounding scratchy. Sorry folks. Remove your "celine-holier-than-thow-uber-fan" blinders and accept it. The only question now, is how frequently it is used or how the tracks are mixed during a flawless performance: Given the evidence [ooh, we sound so official now], I personally believe that note is always supported with a backing track. It would be very easy to pull off, considering her live vocals could be mixed seamlessly with a backing track, and no one would be the wiser. Accept when they aren't synced [in the case of Star Academy] and we have the video to play back a million times. In a live concert setting, hearing the song, it would appear the entire song is live. With the reverb, feedback and echo from an arena, it would be very tough to discern the two tracks. Think of it like Celine's vocals: 40%, backing track, 60%. We still hear the live sound of Celine, but there's a lot of support with the backing track. This is something lots and lots of high-end, live performers use. Google lip-syncing techniques or sound mixing techniqes; there are even videos on youtube talking about the subject, with sound mixers saying "yes, it's used more than you'd ever know". Celine Dion, the world's best selling female artist of all time, the best vocalist the world has ever seen, one of the premier live entertainers and one helluva lip-syncer. I'm not trying to prove anything, only commenting on the proof that Celine Dion Inc. provided by allowing that footage of ABM to be aired on Star Academy. Why do I feel the need to do so? Because I believe that you can still be just as much of a fan as the next person, but still accept the truth for what it is. Sure, it's not a fun thing to admit that your favorite performer lip-syncs, but we're not the ones telling her to do it in the first place. Maybe the wake up call needs to go to those folks who still think every performance of every song in the past 25 years has always been live.

[Not sure why it's so controversial, when it's tre truth, but we'll save that for another conversation.] I'm sure posts like this paint me in a different color than what I really am, but I also know that written word, especially online, is adapted to any tone that the READER wants it to be, and most of the time, never in the same tone that the WRITER want it to be in.
