I'm Alive premiere back in the CBS special... Sometimes the first time she performs a song live is the best performance, and I think in this case this is the best I'm Alive rendition she has performed. Don't know if it was the excitement to be back after her hiatus, if it was the excitement of her first show after 2 years of retirement, or what. But what vocals. She replicated the studio version but with the power of her presence when she's singing live. WOW :wub:

Yes she did! The vocals were totally clear and flawless, just like in the album she just recorded :wub: Missed chance from Sony to include the Special on the 2008 Collector's Edition, as usual -_-

I've always loved the improv she does in this clip. I've always wondered what would happen if Céline and a producer, or maybe even Scott or Humberto now, just sat down at the piano and Céline just sang what came to her. I honestly think if she wrote it down it could be a really good song. But who knows? One things for sure, I simply adore the way she says "be the love you are" in this one!

So TC just released a Video of celine at the Paris Fashion week on facebook. They obviously have louds of footage. This is our Perfect Chance to bomb them with requests for the Summer Tour DVD and documentary!!! Please guys, let's Not waste this opportunity and fload them with our comments and requests for this Release!

HYEBIL is absolutely breathtaking! The entire show was just fresh and exciting. The new songs, her attitude, even the stage was beautiful. It's hands down, my favorite TV special.

Back at the Artis Gala of 2006, Céline lipped (I'm 99% sure it was playback since her live rendition of L'amour Existe Encore that night was her worst performance ever) to this unreleased duet version of Tout Près Du Bonheur. I actually prefer this one to the one they ended up releasing...

I may be mistaken, but afair she was quite sick before those perfomances... So surely it affected the voice.

Celine was alot younger then and people mature and learn as they get older. Now Celine won't even say the b word on the Ellen Show. LOL. Celine was never really one for swearing though. Even bu** sh** is not a very heavy swear word in my opinion.

 

There's also the fact that Celine didn't know English for that long back then. We gotta give the girl a break for words she might have used back in the day.

I'm pretty sure she knew what bullshít meant back then. She had 6 years under her belt and had been recording with English speaking producers and executives for quite some time at that point.

She had already had the recording sessions with Spector at that point. I'm sure she learned everyone swear word under the sun during those sessions. And trust me, when you learn a new language, the "bad words" are some of the first ones you become fluent with.
