robert sadler Posted July 15, 2013 at 06:56 AM Posted July 15, 2013 at 06:56 AM There's a thread on here somewhere from years ago where an amazing forum member (Victorine?) translated most of this documentary - i would never have been able to understand it if not for that, but some of things they're saying (I think) are: Julie asks if Celine sees Rene when he's in the audience. Rene says no, but Celine says, yes, she does see him -- She says "Je te vois partout" in a funny voice - it means "I see you everywhere" and I think they're laughing because it's a line from her song from the 80s "Partout je te vois" (the French version of "Have a Heart"). Then Celine is joking about how Rene always concentrates so intensely on what she's doing on stage, and how he always looks so serious -- how other people are screaming and cheering but he's just solemnly watching (she's imitating him and it's hysterical) -- and he'll come to her after the show and he looks so serious that she's sure it's her last show. She says something like "I won't repeat exactly what he says because I don't swear" (and Rene starts totally cracking up when she says this) - And then she says "Actually, he doesn't swear either." And she says that Rene says something like "Toute un show" (not sure exactly, but basically i think it means he thought it was a good show even though he looked so serious). Later she also says seriously how Rene is proud of her and often cries when she sings, etc, and that it's important for an impresario to tell her how to improve her show and not just say she did a great job. Then she says in a funny voice, "You are a grand impresario" and Rene makes that funny "Ha-ha" noise, and they're both cracking up again -- they're so adorable!Perhaps there might be out there some one who would be happy to start French classes for us French none speaking people I do regret not learning at school now very frustrating, myself and I bet there are a few of us who would be interested in learning.I myself have started to look into night school at the local college after work Quote CELINE HAS AND ALWAYS WILL WIN THE HEARTS OF MILLIONS,CELINE RULES

I know I'm usually the first one to say something is lipped, so this is out of character for me to say this, but really? I have a hard time seeing her lip DMQS. If she lipped that I feel like she'd lip LBDB which we know is live... It's always been understood she doesn't lip French songs in tour so I guess more than anything I'm trying to wrap my head around this....Plus, if it was lipped I'm surprised to see it in the Millennium concert (and in her upcoming show in Quebec). Granted it wasn't the best performance or as good as Olympia (one of the strongest in the concert and in all of 1999 though), but if it were lipped in TCOML tour, it would be the only song in Millennium concert that was sung live that normally had a playback. My understanding is that all the regularly used playbacks were not performed at all because she was wanting to have a live concert for a change, and I don't see her doing a one-off thing with DMQS for that concert... When has Celine ever sang a lipped song in CONCERT live one-off? Never. (Not counting Alone in Malaysia because it's obvious something happened, and ABM in the opening TCWT show because it was the first show so maybe she changed her mind after that). I remember for the longest time thinking IACBTMN was lipped in the FIY tour, and LTAL tour because they sounded extremely similar, I even thought FIY was lipped at Brunei because it was so close to the track she regularly used, and RDMH in Vegas 06-07 but all proved to not be true. Occasionally she actually can sound nearly identical with a song, typically in its earlier performances before she gets comfortable and changes ad libs around and makes shortcuts around hard parts. I'd be willing to bet Everybody's Talkin' My Baby Down was lipped in the clips we seen...but not DMQS. Overall, the tours between 92-94 are difficult to pinpoint because of so little footage. First, I agree, that playback for DMQS would be strange, but maybe the team decided to do all the French songs only live since D'eux Tour (just a guess though). In the extract, ETMBD also seems plackback, even if there's a lack of footages from this tour. Finally, remember that a few times only, usual pre-recorded tracks weren't used in concert as they must have been. See the Brunei concert from 1997 or the MHWGO performance from 2004 (One Night With Lite). So yes, their logic is sometimes hard to follow.
