Wow -- this is a really interesting old video . . this must have been from 1992, when she flew to New York to do promo while Rene was in the hospital receovering from his heart attack. . . at about 2:30, she says she wants to say hello to her manager, who's in the hospital -- she makes the "LV" sign . .but then when Regis mentions Rene discovered her at 12, she refers to Rene as "her father of the show business." And she makes the LV sign again after singing her song. In those old interviews, before they had revealed their love, she often seems kind of awkward, talking about him. .it must have been so hard for her!

 

And Regis referring to Rene as "that fellow" is just hysterical!

This has to be the earliest video we have of MHWGO being performed! It's great and seems so new/different given what she is wearing---because she eventually never sung this song without being in a dress! ONE OF THE BEST LIVE PERFORMANCES OF MHWGO!!!

teehee i've posted a comment in his/her channel thanking him for the wonderful videos and then asked him if he has her first television appearance. you never know with all these wonderful rare videos it may just appear.

Her voice was so smooth and warm in those days. Gawd. Great song.

Btw: have you ever notices similarities between I'm Your Angel and You Are Not Alone (obviously also written by R. Kelly for MJ)? To name one: there's the three-part belt (for three bars, if I express this correctly) ending the brigde.

In this video you can see Kelly explaining he wants her to deliver that note.

Glad to see some undiscovered gems. Those two performances of think twice and mhwgo may perhaps be the best vocals for either.

That's the first thing I thought, what was she singing Think Twice in 1996 for, and she didn't wear her hair like that in 1996. The performance is amazing. It makes me sad to see how effortless she sang back then versus nowadays. It really just doesn't come easy anymore for her.
