ehild Posted October 19, 2019 at 05:19 AM Posted October 19, 2019 at 05:19 AM If this is the Deluxe Edition, where are the posters? This looks like a standard album to me. Is this the Standard Edtion, or Deluxe? It's a fold-out poster not multiple posters. My guess is it's what's laying flat in the pic that the album is sitting on. ryba Posted October 19, 2019 at 12:14 PM Posted October 19, 2019 at 12:14 PM Who on earth wants this fold out poster? They could have included an extra booklet with more pics from the photoshoot (like they did for Delles in 2007) and include a DVD. Gosh, they used to do things right in 2007 with releases. Now it completely changed. I really wonder why! 4 Quote

Javito Posted October 19, 2019 at 12:56 PM Posted October 19, 2019 at 12:56 PM I said it, there's no better bonus than a 20-track album. There's literally no more capacity to include more songs on a CD actually (I guess the running time will be close to 75/80 minutes)! So I can't complain here. The only letdown for me is that they're using the same picture for both editions. That's so from the past too! They could have offered a different album cover for the Deluxe edition 7 Quote "Hush, now... I see a light in the sky"

ryba Posted October 19, 2019 at 05:19 PM Posted October 19, 2019 at 05:19 PM (edited) I just saw on amazon.de that the album will be distributed through SMI COL (a Sony Music sub label). Now this is new. It always used to be Columbia. Never heard of SMI COL. Why did they change? Moreover, the price for the standard edition at Mediamarkt is just the same as for the deluxe version (both 17,99€). Edited October 19, 2019 at 05:30 PM by ryba Quote

smw Posted October 19, 2019 at 07:10 PM Posted October 19, 2019 at 07:10 PM You know what’s strange? Usually we see teaser clips from the recording studio. Nothing this time. Hopefully they’ve got some more tricks up their sleeves for some additional promo. I wonder what shows she might appear on? Or what approach they’ll take? I assume she’s already got a bunch of pre-recorded interviews ready to roll out. I also imagine the Gayle King interview — since she was at the Cleveland show — will come out the week of the album release. They might release the Lying Down music video alongside with the album’s release? 3 Quote
manolo19 Posted October 19, 2019 at 08:32 PM Posted October 19, 2019 at 08:32 PM I need something major every week to hold on to until the album release .. snippets, big production lying down music video, recording sessions preview... I'm gonna miss this anticipation when it will be gone so might as well enjoy refreshing this forum everyday until Nov15 3 Quote
scielle Posted October 19, 2019 at 08:43 PM Posted October 19, 2019 at 08:43 PM I do wonder what they're going to do for album promo. Clearly the journalists who were there in Quebec and Montreal already heard half the album, but weren't allowed to discuss it. Or not yet, at least, so they may release "part 2" of many of those interviews, once the content is unembargoed. Or, will she do a new round of interviews with some of the same outlets? Or others who didn't get a chance the first time around (more likely)? Probably some morning shows, some late night shows, an award show or two (I guess it looks like she might show up at the PCAs... I imagine the AMAs, too.) Much of Celine's base audience - certainly those who still buy albums - are still the TV-watching crowd, so that's where I expect much of the focus to be. Hopefully some magazine features, and hopefully we get more than the one video.I just hope whatever it is, is substantive. Less ET & Extra fluff, and more thoughtful, long-form interviews like those we got in the last month or so. 5 Quote
isurrender Posted October 19, 2019 at 08:56 PM Posted October 19, 2019 at 08:56 PM Strangely enough, I have the feeling she won't do anything ( beside releasing the interviews she did this summer). Or if she does, it won't be long. The album lifetime will be 3 weeks in the charts and Céline has already started to forget about it ( just like TC or LMBTL - none of them being represented on tour) as she has cut a song before the album is even out 😄😄😄😄😄 1 Quote

fred Posted October 20, 2019 at 02:13 AM Posted October 20, 2019 at 02:13 AM I seriously wonder how many songs she'll add from this album on tour (1 or 2?), if any since she doesn't even do Imperfections on tour. My fear is also that she'll promote this album on shows singing Imagine.... (I know it doesn't make since in any other case, but looking at the tour it is very possible) 1 Quote Peace and love to all.
Taking Chances Posted October 20, 2019 at 02:21 AM Posted October 20, 2019 at 02:21 AM (edited) I changed the font on the album cover to a different one (Copperplate Gothic Std, 31AB if anyone wants to know) and it still baffles me that they re-used the LMCTL font for this album. The font I chose might not be optimal for the album either, but it really requires minimal effort to find a new appropriate one. Does no one in her team care about this album having it's own "theme"? I actually think this cover would look best without any text at all. It's just so clean and beautiful without it. A lot of covers are like that these days. edit: 1st picture: Original. 2nd picture: new font. 3rd picture: Edited October 20, 2019 at 02:23 AM by Taking Chances 1 Quote
