Well, according to People, Adele is now set to release new music before the end of the year as well, so... some serious competition? (Or maybe they recorded a collab - ha!)

I'd be surprised if Sony released Celine & Adele albums concurrently.

Usually, Celine is the last one to rehearse, once the stage, lights and first musical arrangements are done. So I don't expect her to be there untill maybe 5 days or max one week before the first date, still lots of work to be done which does not require her presence.

Totally. I felt almost like losing my nerves on the edge of my chair, waiting for REAL news and any tiny detail about the album. But nothing. Nada.

 

This interview just felt like the type of fake meeting with someone you haven't seen in a long time, and you try to make an interesting conversation to catch up, but in the end you only ask and answer silly questions to kill time

 

We could have seen this video right in June 2016 and I would have believed every single comma of her answers. She hasn't told anything we already knew years ago.

I think everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I’m sick and tired of hearing from fans who want her to follow their own laundry list of expectations instead of following her OWN heart, her own voice, her own creative journey...

 

...fans who want her to stay within an imaginary boundary of ballads. There is nothing wrong with that genre, but to say she cannot experiment with other sounds? Only ballads? (I mean, how many ways can she reinvent TYLAM and IWYTNM?!)

 

Not only is it unrealistic, it’s disrespectful to her endeavors to find joy in what she’s singing. I’d rather have a full-hearted performance (yes, even a “cringe” song) than her faking it to please others.

 

But you’re ultimately right: I was being irrational to insist we all be patient until November, because it looks like they’re trying hard to keep everything a surprise for the fans... many of whom have nothing to do until then except b$tch about how they haven’t seen a full, 2-year marketing plan complete with a detailed list of all her appearances, single release dates, video scoops, etc, etc... 🙄

I can’t wait to see what Brendan interviews her about! She seemed to get along with him well back in 2016! I’m sure it’ll be a fabulous one, even if she can’t say much about the new stuff.

 

Quite honestly I know there’s a NDA agreement or something like that in place. That’s got to be why she can’t and doesn’t say anything. I can’t believe the tour is 2 weeks away! At least hearing one new song on tour will hold me over to November!

Similar to when Celine recorded a duet with Barbara but this time Celine would be the legend and Adele the artist in her prime.

She talks nonsense indeed, she contradicts herself when she says she is no queen and she is no boss, but in other interviews she claims to be the boss. And she wears a coat saying "queen" on the back. (How can you take her seriously when she does stuff like that?) But whatever...

 

What bothers me the most here is why her management has to figure out a plan to release more of her recorded songs? Why is there a plan needed? Is it not enough to put them on the album? It sounds like she is only allowed to have a very limited number of tracks, but she wants to give her fans more and lets her team figure out a plan. I don't get that. Isn't she allowed to decide how many tracks will be on her album? I wish they would show that segment in the video insted of showing how she talks about how many closets she has.

In the best of worlds that include special editions of the album with tons of bonus tracks, an EP every now an then in the following years....

 

But that would be too logical. And again, they don't seem to do logic.
