She's busy back then, it stopped at 2007, because 2008-2009 TCWT, 2010 (is her shot for new album but she focused on having a baby in vitro fertilization), 2011 (gave birth.. Vegas), 2012 Sans Attendre, 2013 LMBTL (Plus Rene sickness Late 2013), Mid 2014 (Break to take care of Rene), 2015 (Comeback Vegas Show), 2016 Encore Un Soir, Summer Tour.

Whenever you're feeling impatient just remember that Shania Twain recently turned 50 and will celebrate by releasing her first new album in 15 years!!!!! That's like Céline recording nothing since A New Day Has Come.... Instead we've had 8 studio albums, 3 live albums and her latest album was released only six months ago and we all agree it's awesome! I think we're pretty lucky!

Well I for one wished she had the same "rush" for recording new albums as for touring and performing non-stop

I mean, her interest in recording new music clearly has become not as imperative as for performing concerts relentlessly. Do you remember the years where she used to release a new album (either studio or live recordings) on a yearly basis? That suddently stopped in 2006. I'd like to know why And don't say it's because sales, because a true artist doesn't care at all about sales.

Some artists take YEARS to release an album or to tour, we get so much (different) stuff from Céline yearly, yes it may not all be music, but she's one of the most active artists out there (esp from her generation), even with all the bad stuff happening to her.

Stop expecting like she's a machine. Her priorities have shifted and these days she isn't doing what "normal" artists are doing, because she's CÉLINE. Because she's unique, and because she doesn't want to. How clearer must this be shown? If you expect from her to do the same old boring: "1st single - promo - new album - promo - 2nd single - promo - tour" schedule, you really, really should look for another artist to be a fan of, because ain't happening with Céline (anymore). Accept it.

Normally if a singer/artist does a new tour it's because they have released new material and they're going to present it live. With Céline, who knows what she's going to offer? Expectations are created on its own right this time, since they offered no clue what's the reason for doing this tour :flowers:

No. The only right you have is to go or not, to buy your tickets or not. If you do, you accept that you won't know until the actual show (or the first show of the tour).

Actually she IS a machine, both doing marathonian concerts and also recording albums. She can record an album within less than 3 weeks. In my book, she's a true machine! :teehee:

I won't go now into the old discussion about how many unreleased things Sony could have released those years, and instead we got the same old albums repackaged invariably in countless sets, boxsets and editions There're tons of concerts, unreleased songs and series of albums (TCSV.2) that could have been released without her moving a finguer. This year for instance could be a perfect occassion to release the abandoned TCSV.2, if there's not going to be any release. Yet you know what they'll release: nothing

Pd: I never took her the credit of being one of the most active artists out there -she definitely is and we're so spoiled with seeing her everywhere lately! However, some say it's better to get quality over quantity...

Even when I bought the first Collector's Series CD I felt like I was being ripped off. They probably learned that adding a few rarities to a compilation of album tracks is not a good business move! It wouldn't work now anyway, everything is digital so people will only download the songs they don't have which is likely to be very few!

As soon as we get news, then the bitching or negativity starts. Even when it's nice news, like a new song or her products line, it starts. Bloody fed up with it. Sometimes I wonder who are actual fans.

And before anyone starts, yes everyone is entitled to their opinion etc. But this is different. And a lot of it is completely unnecessary.

Well in Europe we had all those "rare" tracks already but not in the US! Sola Otra Vez wasn't available but in the Spanish-speaking countries and strangely it wasn't included in the US version of FIY, so I'm sure they appreciated having that one. And nobody had the Japanese version of "Be The Man" (except in Japan of course)... For a 2000 release I think it wasn't bad. Could they have done better? Sure haha, they always can ^_^

Remember she recorded and released EUS last year...she's been working her #ss off. Oh, and her husband died. She will record when she wants to, or else it truly will be a terrible and miserable album.

And about the upcoming tour- your misery that 'we should know what she's going to present'- where is your sense of excitement and intrigue?? And I hate when people say 'on the Red Heads FB soooo many fans are upset' - the hundreds of thousands of fans who will see the tour want to see the 30 years of hits as described in the blurb. Enjoy what will come. If she released a new album tomorrow, that means we'd get a show (like TCWT) where most of the audience don't know half of the playlist as they don't bother and have no interest in buying the new album. I'm glad there's no new album.

Céline herself said in an interview last fall that she did want to take her time on this album.

She said most of her other albums were always a rush, recording many songs a day but now she really wanted to take her time.

I'm hoping she will have her own song on the album. Scott Price said in a video interview in August that he wouldn't be surprised if we would hear her own stuff soon

You're right too... but hey, of course I have my sense of intrigue and curiosity! But that sense would only increase lots if they had announced something like "she's singing new and old songs never performed before" or slipped something similar :laugh: Something to build the anticipation you know?

I'll surely enjoy what it comes, since it will be my first show. EUS release is still very recent, but they killed the promotion so bad without recording any videos or performing songs anywhere that it seems ages since it was abandoned sorry. That's why it was important to release videoclips (since there's no way she's going to TV to do performances of the songs), to keep the album alive in people's minds.

About that spanking... is it coming from you? I'll think about it then :giggle:

Javito complains if Céline records an album too fast, and he also complains if she records an album too slow...

No matter what Céline does, he will always find some drama to complain about... Some people are never satisfied!

And if you don't like the idea of not knowing what she will perform on tour, then sell your tickets. Many people would be very happy to attend the show - regardless of the setlist. :-D

And who knows, perhaps she hasn't received enough (good) songs to record. Not every writer wants to write songs for a nearly 50 year old artist if they aspire to getting their songs on radio...

Exactly. And maybe they've contacted artists and/or writers but they're not interested.

This is the first english album that Rene won't be a part of. It's more international than the first french one. It's the first english album for Celine and Aldo to take control on. They should take their time. Not to just decide on the songs but also on the recording and production. I'm sure we could perhaps get the album slightly earlier if she didn't have other projects, but as long as she's doing what she wants and having fun with each project, I'm ok with waiting however long for a new album.

We've had so much from celine since she came back in Aug 2015. We've got so much to look forward to.

How about a bit of positivity peeps 😀

This album is probably as important as her very first English album.

Céline is now viewed "differently" (in a good way) and I'm sure many people in the industry/radios are waiting to see what she will come up with. So Sony and Co. have to plan this carefully in my opinion. It's like a new "beginning"...

Funny posts...

If she recorded an album in 3 weeks and that album didn't fit the expectations than it would be too rushed.

Now she says she wants to take the time to really feel all the songs, its no good either.

The last album that was postponed many times and was a disappointment for few, was simply because they changed the direction many many many times.

Think this time around, Celine is in charge and is more capable of choosing songs that will fit her life right now.

If I remember correctly EUS was also recorded in 1 / 1,5 year.

And that became a beautiful one!

She gets so many songs, I'm sure they need time to go through all

I'm just sick of people being disappointed by a "delay" when we had a very vague initial statement of when she would be releasing an album. There has been no concept, no producers or writers announced, and no hype generated yet. Why be upset about a delay that doesn't even exist?

I'm very proud to be a fan of the best singer on the planet and a great human being. We all should be grateful for whatever she gives us. She doesn't have to!

We do have the right to comment and give our opinions but the negativity here is just to much.

Let's just be patient.

Didn't she say though around Christmas that on this album she was taking her time, she wasn't rushing...?

It'll all be good. So so far, we have Recovering, probably How Does A Moment Last Forever and what's the third?!

It means we have another year of excited torment and can celebrate her birthday with a wonderful new album

Recovering should stand on its own. Not on the album please.
