Excuse me no, lol. Those songs needs to stay the hell away from this album, even as bonus tracks. This album needs to only include brand new songs, in my opinion.

If it was up to me, no, but out of all the songs from a non-album, Ashes would be the best one if they had to include one. I just want new songs. Nothing that's been already released.

Ashes deserves to be on a Celine's physical album (at least until cd still exists) and hopefully not as a bonus track, simply because bonus tracks are always special and better than standard songs.

Celine said that she will be doing photo shoots this month! I wonder if they are for L'Oreal Paris ads, or photos for the new album? I am guessing that it will be a bit of both, but I'm hoping that one of the shoots will at least be for the album, because that would mean super recent pics to go along with the new music in Nov!!

Guys, she has said several times she has SO many new songs [to record/choose from], I'd doubt, especially with this "new Céline", they're putting older songs on the new record. "Ashes" maybe, but not the other ones. She can probably fill 3 albums with the songs she's got.... and with the album being released in November, they still have plenty of time to receive and record even more new songs.

It’s funny that they are still choosing songs for the album. It’s crazy. It never took her this long.

 

But I still hope for a doble album: 50% uplifting, fun, dance numbers and 50% ballads and drama hahaha I think after all these years and in few of a big world tour this is not too much to ask.

Exactly.This is what I find the most frustrating about her recent recording career.

There is so much in the Sony vault that will never see the light of day. And I bet you a bunch of those unreleased songs are gems that many people would find much more interesting than the stuff that ends up on the (disappointingly few) albums they end up releasing.

Ah, yes. That’s what I thought she was saying - that they’re still choosing between the already recorded songs. I say they should just pick 12-15 of them and release an album and then choose another 12-15 and release them in another album the following year.

Celine has stated multiple times that she has recorded quite a few songs. Personally, I’m glad she’s taking her time. I feel like there’s a lot of thought being put into the coherence of this album. No news is good news to me, unlike with LMBTL we had constant delays, botched concepts and last minute changes.

 

Stop bringing up the 90s. It’s no longer the 90s. It’s no longer the height of Celine’s career. There’s no longer the urgency to pump out albums like a machine to establish her career.

 

This is also her first album where she is at the helm. The process has changed. Rather than picking the 20 or 30 songs to record from a pile of demos, it seems as if she’s recording whatever she connects to and will decide from there what makes the cut. Her albums were never “ready” in two weeks. She just laid down her vocals in two weeks, and that was because her schedule forced her into that regiment. There was still post production and other things to be taken care of.
