Indefinite break is over. Return to Vegas announced.

Has anyone managed to get the new People yet? I know it's not officially released till tomorrow but sometimes some stores put them on the shelf earlier then normal.

Not yet but I'm keeping an eye out. For some reason our grocery stores, etc have a bit of a delay.

My mom is a hair stylist and she said her shop got People today... And she's bringing it home! I'll do some scans when I get it, for everyone.

I have no source. It's the way I've read it by people saying about it being 3 times (the interview, people mag etc) and during the planning time of her comeback. If you're correct (which you could be )then it is twice Rene has been diagnosed and not 3 times.

As one of the recent articles mentioned René diagnosed 3 times with cancer, and with all that happened last year it makes sense. The first time obviously being in 1999, the René was diagnosed with throat cancer in December 2013. Céline went on performing and mentioned quite a number of times René was doing well in the first half of 2014. Then Aldo was named head of Feeling and her prime manager, followed by the announcement of the Asia tour (she wouldn't go there if René was still being very ill). And without any signs or updates, the Asia tour got cancelled not too after that and she announced to put a hold on her career indefinately. So...something very serious happened in August 2014, which was most likely was the cancer came back (again) which left him in a worser state than before.

-Some show were cancelled, performances, etc.

Then, Asia Tour is announced. She does a Paris Match magazine saying Rene was out of danger. He needed physical therapy, but he was getting better each day. She said she was excited about the Asia tour.

Then, suddenly, Asia is cancelled. Shows are cancelled. She announces an indefinite break. Based on this, it would seem the third diagnosis was around this break.

 

I was the first to say not to speculate on their life, but for me, I would prefer to clear up a timeline that at least injects hope into the issue.

The important thing is Rene is well enough for her to return. I agree with CelineDIVO5, if Rene were that bad, then she would not be coming back. I believe he is recovering at this time.

 

 

I would imagine as the show draws closer, there will be more interviews at least touching on the show--maybe a new stylist or something will be announced. It's all a matter of time at this point, given that she has officially announced her return and tickets are on sale! I hope everyone attending opening night has fun!

I agree. I don't see her doing a mini tour just now. I think they will concentrate on the Vegas show and slowly go from there. Although I won't be devastated if they decide to work on an album over the next year. haha

I agree. I don't think she "should" do anything. She should do whatever works best for her and her family.

 

It wouldn't surprise me at all if she did only Vegas for awhile, Live performance has always been what she loves most about showbiz. And I don't see her doing all the promotion that comes with releasing a new album right now. And if Rene isn't strong, it makes sense that they would stay in one place. So I imagine it's just Vegas for awhile. But you never know.

 

Maybe eventually a French album with just a Julie Synder-type launch special. That would be my guess for the next album, if any.

I'm not holding my breath for a new album when she comes back. I would be happily surprised and grateful, but I'm not expecting or thinking of one. I do expect though that they try to bring back to life LMBTL by singing several of the original songs and in promotion that will probably happen. I am sad and worried for Rene and Celine, and keep them and their family in my prayers. However, Celine the artist needs to try to assume where they left off. I also think everyone is wanting this and is sympathetic if she and her management were to resume promotion for LMBTL. But we shall see....

Who is 50 mins insider? Tho I doubt it's true, she's got only 4 months left until show time, and IF the show is to get a makeover that's not a lot of time. Plenty of time for rehearsal but not both rehearsal and studio and family time.

 

Also I have a question to anyone who may know this, now with Mego gone wouldn't it be illegal for her new band ( under the new director) to use the arrangements of the song, I'm pretty sure Mego wrote a lot of the arrangements to the big hits that they use in live shows. Does anyone know how this works??

Under preparation could mean looking into songs etc. Doesn't automatically mean she's gonna be recording before lv starts.
