Yeah, i meant to write third time was while she was off. We don't know when it actually was. Sometime between Aug 2014 and now. So could have been late '14 or early '15.

It's so sad, because even though we are away from them in a way, it feels like family.

We have come to know and love Rene through Celine, for so many years now.

It's hard to read that he can't speak, lost part of his hearing and has to be fed through a tube.

I knew it was bad, but hearing Celine speak about it put it all in perspective for me.

My heart is broken for them.

Song suggestion for the revamped show: I don't know if its completely right for this show, maybe it would be, but I would love Celine to do a live version of And I am telling you...I know its a broadway cover, but I think she could sing this song in a way that would bring the house down every single night. The song is a vocal and emotional powerhouse if done right. Its one of the most dramatic broadway songs ever written, but I think she would bring the house down every night if she sang this. Celine Dion’s return to Caesars Palace on Aug. 27 will include plans for “a significantly different show,” according to a Caesars Entertainment rep.

“Her grand return to The Colosseum is also going to be supported by a lot of different creative elements in the show,” said Jason Gastwirth, senior vice president of marketing and entertainment for Caesars Entertainment Corp.

“With her new management,” he said, “there’s a creative new direction.”

Dion will be returning after a year’s absence to care for her ailing husband and longtime manager, Rene Angelil.

He gave up his management role in June, bringing in the former head of Cirque du Soleil’s business unit, Aldo Giampaolo.

Questions about the size of the orchestra have come up after Giampaolo recently cut four musicians, including longtime musical director Claude “Mego” Lemay.

“That’s still to be developed,” Gastwirth said.

Asked if Jennifer Lopez still might end up at the Colosseum or Planet Hollywood Resort, Gastwirth said, “We have a very full calendar at the Colosseum. I can’t comment on speculation about different artists like that.”

Ha, well at least you found the silver lining!

 

It shows up as being available on in the Apple App Store (as part of the newsstand App) in the US. But the app crashes when you try to purchase it. So, I will try again later. But, if not, then you are right and it is out Tuesday. Maybe that is why the app won't let you purchase it right now despite showing up in the store.

I think the idea of a new album is not farfetched. It should be in the offing. If René did really ask her to be back performing, it could mean not just performing in the coliseum but also recording a new album! I knew it! I'm a genius. Hehe. But seriously, guys, I think it would make René really happy if Celine goes back to recording albums while he is still around. After all, that's where they started. Recording beautiful music.
