Well I just read on Facebook that manila isn't until 2015. Would celine do asia in two parts? Said acts due to perform there next year are Justin timberlake one direction and celine.

I hope that the Mandarin song won't be Jasmine flower :sick: :sick: , in Japan she would rather do Watashi as she still remembers it. Although it would a be big BIG BIIIIG surprise if they chose A World To Believe In (!!!!) or Be The Man. can't wait! I hope they'll release another dvd from this leg of concerts as it really seems that it'll specially be planned for Asia only

I still hope on an accoustic version of "Immortality"... I'm sure she won't sing "Be the man" because her voice simply doesn't fit that song anymore, although it's one of her biggest hits in Asia. I think her setlist would be like this:

 

1. Incredible

2. Water and a flame

3. Loved me back to life

4. Breakaway (with lipsync in the chorus)

5. Save your soul

6. To love you more (full version with Taro in lower key, like she sang it live twice)

Celine barely sang To Love You More in the 90s, where her voice was supposedly at its peak. Primarily 1996 by most. But she lipped all the time with the exception of like 5 times.

 

 

She can definately perform it now like she couldve back then, but her vouce now is far more disciplined and reserved and powerful as too be her voice was mainly just her talent plus her youth and minor techniques. She overworked her voice back in the 90s and 2003-2007 era, leading to her 2008-2009 voice which wassss. ... Umm no comment. But her resting during her pregnancy and training of her voice has made Celines technique far more easier to perform gruesome songs such as TLYM.

 

If she did it in a key lower in 2008-09,she can definitely do the original key now with some smart maneuvering and setlist placement.

 

I would die if she sang Be The Man.

Manila!!! Finally going to see her! Been waiting for this for 15 long years!

 

I just hope she does a different set list here as she had a couple of singles that were big here but weren't in other countries such as I Love You Goodbye, I Love You, Stand By Your Side, Dance with My Father, to name a few. Even Send Me a Lover got a decent airplay during her peak here. Can't contain my excitement already!!!

The couple darling Québécois is back home after a few months quite challenging. René Angélil is still resting after surgery for cancer of the throat. But unlike the stories circulating on the web, the old impresario has not completely lost his voice.

"We had to go to Bangkok, Thailand, but due to a recent coup, I'm not sure this is in the plans," said Claude "Mego" Lemay, the musical director of Celine.

 

Rehearsals for the concert, which will be unique to the Asian market, will begin next month. Céline would provide to a song in Mandarin, China, and Japanese in Japan.

 

For its part, will Véronic DiCaire first part of 25 minutes in each city. The team is to mimic see what artists of his repertoire are the best known of the Asian public.
