I'm beginning to get a little tired ( well, I've been for a while now actually ) of Annie Horth. Sorry to say that, but she should be fired ( like most of Céline's team actually haha).

 

This woman is stylist and she only knows leather jackets for France and pretentious dresses for US that make Céline looked like older than she is, an old diva or a transexual. In all cases, a cliché ( to me)

 

The worst was for her performance of "Breakaway". Obviously, she doesn't listen to Céline's songs and she doesn't try to make her confortable on stage.

 

Sometimes I see Céline nervous ( like she was a bit on Incredible) and it seems to me she doesn't know how to stand on stage, what to do... and her outfit doesn't help at all : she's so uptight, she can't move. She is singing a r'n'b-ish song and she wears a classy las-vegas-ish dress!

 

It was the same for the French tour.

 

I miss Céline choosing her own clothes and her imagination ( wasn't all the time good-looking but it was at least fancy. Today, before seeing her, you know that she will have a rich classic dress )

Absolutely. I'm so in love with LCMM. The way she walked, moved, how she made sure Tessanne enjoyed and shone in her performance. What a class act she is!

Me too! Didn't like her hair at all, it was totally flat. I missed some volume like in 2007's WMA :down: However Christina's hair was a-m-a-z-i-n-g! :wub:

 

And what's with that scarf around her neck?

I hated that look. It's just something weird about it, maybe it was her make up or something. I generally love her hair like this, but this particular look is somewhat off.

You have sh_it taste, thank god you don't make decisions for Celine.

 

Annie Horth turned Celine from a fashion disaster to one of the most chic and well-dressed female celebrities in the business. No one is perfect, and in Annie's case she gets repetitive, but she will still occasionally surprise us here and there. Ever since Annie was hired, Celine has been featured in a positive light in countless fashion blogs and best-dressed lists. Annie is GOD. You can leave though. DAFUQ?? "Rich classic dress" - Almost everything Celine wears is couture, under Annie's direction she's worn some of the most stunning gowns ever. Your idea of "rich and classic" probably features a glittery rainbow dress with fireworks that come off the side

We can be so so so proud of Celine! And so happy :clap:

 

She proved that she is THE VOICE! And she's still our Celine - this is the most important thing!

She can be the biggest star and she remains the same as she's always been - amazing person, who we love so much!

 

Two incredible performances! So much energy and joy!

 

I just can't stop saying how much I love her - somebody help me! I'm going crazy! :whee: Are you feeling the same?

Incredible has everything to reach the top 5 of Billboard, just that Sony does its job, send the single to radio and record a video for the song.

Exactly! When I see she's nervous I feel so too! She shouldn't be focused on her clothes! They should be as much comfortable as they can be to let Celine do what she does the best - sing! Sing without pressure! :doh:

She's the new Queen of the UK. I don't recall her being so popular and "in" since... maybe LTAL??!

 

This album has done wonders for her!! People are out of the Céline closet at last!

Did you get a look at how high those HEELS were??!!! Those looked to be a higher heel than normal. It could just be that she was having a difficult time walking around in them. :giggle:

Pretty bizarre, yet admirable, that such an old song as LCMM can stand the test of time like that and still sound fresh now. And that Céline just can't get enough of it :wub: And the song definately made an impact last night!

 

Incredible :wub: A-mazing!! And I love the end where she is a little "lost" and almost started to sing the end, too early and looks to Ne-Yo and "waits" for him... :wub:

 

Hopefully last night's & tonight's performance of "Incredible" will make the album sky-rocket in the US chart....!!

 

They should do a hologram of Ne-Yo and add the song to her Vegas set, replacing "Overjoyed".

 

 

Celine has totally abandoned the wireless mics of late. She was back to a corded mic all throughout the European mini-tour. I wonder if something happened!

 

Is she still using wireless in Vegas? That might be the only place she'd trust it.

 

Can we discuss the corded microphone again? The tech geeks on twitter are discussing why she's the only one using one....

 

I saw that but I highly doubt it. Since she has been using them in every single US performance since the promo started lol and she used it in Europe every show except maybe one!

 

Not only is it a corded microphone, it's also a different brand. This (Shure) microphone has been Céline's favorite microphone in the '90's. Since I think '97/'98, she switched to Sennheiser and used their newest and best microphone ever since (except for the newest one, released last year I think). Later on, they putt a Neumann capsule on her wireless Sennheiser mic, which is perfect for her voice (but also for most female singers). But because they want to get a bit of a different sound for the songs from the new album, they reverted back to Shure for a "less perfect", more "rougher" sound. In the studio, they can do all sorts of tricks for this, but live it's more difficult. And because Céline (especially lately) has issues with her wireless mic, they opted to go corded again. Plus the fact that these are crucial and pretty big performances, they can't risk having her have sound problems again.

 

At the first Antwerp show, she used her own (Neumann/Sennheiser) microphone and had a lot of problems that night. Part of the problem is that they had 2 large speaker arrays above the stage, directed at the stage... normally not part of the set-up. So they again used the corded Shure microphone (which is also a lot lighter btw).

 

The microphone change doesn't really have to do with her in-ear monitors & powerpack btw, that's just a must for every singer.

 

She will probably be using her Sennheiser wireless again in Vegas. :)
