UK's Daily Mail has covered Celine's performance on the Voice - have never had so much coverage of Celine over here ;) http://www.dailymail...r-lace-bra.html x

 

So it the physical Daily Mail news showing Celine's performance??? or it's only the online version? cos then I will buy the news ^_^

Celine has climbed 2 spots in the UK midweeks album chart to #6!!!!! This is an amazing chart run. I believe the voice will air in the UK over the weekend so that shouls bolster some sales post xmas chart.....

Why is everyone freakish out about Lcmm? I always listen to Lcmm in every bootleg and more recently she had been performing it more or less the same she had here... Yes the other singer sang the bridge the proper way so that was nice, but you could tell celine would have sang it the new standard way as she went down on the "nothing we can do" .... She had a nice ad lib towards the beginning in the verse but other than that it wasn't anything unusual to how she's been performing it. Most of her recent performances of this have been much much better than 2004-2009 with little talking.

Really nothing, technically. It could easily be the other way around. Maybe it was (logisticallly) "easier" to start with a wireless mic? Could be any reason..

Ceine adores mics with chords! I think it shall be related to some souvenirs in her childhood! She really feels so confortabl with it!

Probably she sang into her blowdryer when she was a child/teenager as it was plugged. :P

 

Now I was just thinking that maybe on weekends when she used to sing in their parents' restaurant they had a corded microphone, so she really loves to remember those times when performing nowadays. :heart:

Wow I didn't know talking about the corded mic was that important. To me it's just a microphone. The most important part is what is coming from the mic and not the mic itself.

just saw the performances - she was alright want she? - i felt a bit uncomfortable in incredible - i need her to move more, i feel like shes lost her stage mojo...especially at the end when she missed a line or something and she was a bit thrown you can see her awkwardly waving her arm and looking at neo. i felt like celine was a neo fan that had won a competition to sing with him if you get what i mean Edited by Hilda

p.s yes she was all over the daily mail website and thats not a bad thing its the best thing - no one reads the paper its utter crap but the site is probably one of the most visited in the uk and i think actually the world coz it has such a high content of entertainment and trash hahaha which isnt included in the paper and thats what everyone wants. even my mum just said did you see celine on daily mail. haha.

 

she was in two stories, her and neo and in the xtina/ gaga one too

Plus she doesn't need any difficult choreographed moves when she has her own silly little dance moves(although she could have moved a bit more) ;) buut this is just my opinion

I think she's just not 100% comfortable with the song yet. Compare the Incredible performance with LCMM and it's night and day. She was so much more animated in LCMM because she's performed it countless times and knows it inside out.

Even though she looked a bit uncertain at the ending part, but she was still a pro that she could immediately follow Neyo and do an add lib which i think actually sounded pretty good.

 

And she has developed some R&B singers' moves recently. Haha

It's the second time, cos they recorded the adoption special earlier, but granted, it was the first time LIVE on tv!!

 

I loved the performances! LCMM was cool... tho I think Celine is so used to singing it alone, she got in the other girls way! :lol:

 

It was refreshing to see Celine perform with a guy not French and not nearly dead for the first time since she sang with Josh Groban!! :lmao: I did think she was a bit stiff, but that are nerves I bet... that dress was damn sexy!! And I love their Chemistry! It was funny at the end, where Celine missed a bit or something and looked at Neyo like; OKKK what are you going to do?!?! And then she just threw in an adlip! :wub2: It's the best exposure the song could get! Now I hope the special tonight will boost the song higher! One hit in the USA is the LEAST LMBTL the album deserves!!

I agree with Xpresso about her heels! I've said it a couple of times, if she would just knock off a couple of inches on those heels she could move!

Why are some of you so extreme with your assessments? It's like, if she has 1 or 2 bad vocal performances, suddenly people are freaking out saying that she's finally lost her voice for good (..and then she blows us away with clips of her singing the song in the bathroom several keys above the original). And then here with the claim that she's "lost her stage mojo" based on a few performances...

 

People's voices and performances in general can vary dramatically day to day. They're not robots. We can find dozens of awkward/embarrassing performances (stage-presence wise) from her prime..
