Someone mentioned they wished Celine did more of the high notes in LCMM, remember the show is about showcasing and showing off the contestants and their vocal ability so obviously they are going to sing more of the high notes than Celine.

LOL, I saw Celine and Karl Marx on the same Twitter trending list a few pages back. Who would've thought? Twitter trends are always eclectic.

 

Anyway, I think we can all agree that this was her best appearance in recent memory. Her voice was highlighted and she was energized. She did sound a bit tired, and it seems that her holiday show she was more well-rested vocally. That said, her skilled technique let her show off her voice. I wish she was a little more spot on and I wish that her belting voice was stronger (she uses mixed almost exclusively now). So not Celine's best possible vocal performance, but she is a diva and of course it sounded great!

 

 

I was thinking, how weird for Christina to hear that song at this Voice finale....when she sang it about twenty years ago on TV for the Mickey Mouse Club....LOL! Says something about the song....

Celine was more DIVA on The Voice than she's been (in the US, at least) for a LONG time!

And she has the TALENT to back up any Diva-esque behavior! She brought it with attitude, look, and talent tonight! Rare to have all 3 of those! And the media WORLD is responding!

Wow! If she continues to so "LCMM" like this she actually sang it the way it was intended to be sung by a DIVA! Not talking her way through it like she does in Vegas! I think it helps that it was a duet because she feels like she needs to prove something when in duet!

MY FAVORITE VERSION OF LCMM SINCE 1997! She hit the notes perfectly and the to sound like a broken record but I STILL can't belive how much strength and volume her voice has gained since 2005ish. PLEASE keep that vocal coach around give them a pay raise, let them have the Florida mansion, give them a sports car,a Rolex... Something LOL

 

Incredible was also amazing and I swear Annie Horth reads this forum because no safe choices tonight and VERY divalishes outfits! The white dress says " this is what's mixture of class and sexiness looks like"

And the black one says " My body is incredible!l

 

I have been waiting for a DIVA moment for a long time now we haven't had one in such a long time her in the US. They attempted but failed on American Idol with the Elvis duet back in 2007. Everything was perfect the look, the hair, the stage movements, the outfits ...etc

 

It's a great day to be a fan tonight!

OMG I can't believe how amazing she was! She hit every single note, and she looked amazing! At first I was nervous Incredible was going to be lipped because I could tell the instrumental was the album's instrumental. When I saw it was live, I was wondering if she was going to hit all the high notes....and she did! Totally amazing performance!

Me too! Didn't like her hair at all, it was totally flat. I missed some volume like in 2007's WMA However Christina's hair was a-m-a-z-i-n-g!

Just seen the two performances this morning.

 

Love Can Move Mountains - totally unexpected. Although we've heard this song butchered a million times in concert, it was quite refreshing to see Celine performing something live on national TV that isn't MHWGO or BYLM etc. I am so glad Celine sang this song as a duet, as Tesssanne sang the song properly. For the first time in 13 years, Tennesse reminded Celine of how she used to sing it, and Celine started to follow suit. If it wasn't for her, Celine would have carried on just singing a few lyrics and ad-lib the rest. It wasn't perfect, her voice was very nasal and lacked power at times, but it was lovely to hear something that resembled a 90s performance of LCMM after 10 years of karaoke.

 

Incredible - neither Celine or Ne-Yo were pitch perfect throughout, but it was nice to finally have a live performance of the song - I hope the it's already been sent to radios in the US!

I missed the episode last night, so I had to look at everything on YouTube, and Celine really did amazing. I loved her performance of Love Can Move Mountains. It was way better than Incredible. She sounded fresh, looked great and had such a positive spirit on stage. Given the fact that she has performed this song countless of times, I wasn't thrilled before I heard it, but as it turns out it was a pretty great performance. Her voice on Incredible was so great too, and I really think both Celine and Ne-Yo did a great job performing it live.

 

Comparing Celine's performance to Lady Gaga's though, I really thought she would be overshadowed by Lady Gaga. Turns out, she wasn't, which is amazing. I hated Lady Gaga and Christina's performance. It's like both of them are trying to be so over-the-top-beyond-amazing in a crazy vocal battle. It was a little trashy to be honest. It was better before Christina entered the stage, but still way too much. Everything is too much, the clothes, the hair, the crazy act on stage and the drama. I was looking at it and going "Are you serious? This looks so stupid."

 

I already knew this, but watching Lady Gaga and Christina I kind of got reminded of it again. Celine would never be so over the top vocal-wise. She is already at the top so she doesn't have to prove herself like these two morons are trying to do. Celine is pure talent and doesn't have do outdo herself in order for other people to notice that. Christina and Gaga is very talented as well, but somehow they do this cheesy very bad lyrically performance of this song. Why couldn't they just sing it like the song goes instead of f***ing up those high notes and throwing them all over the place? It's like both of them is trying to look fierce as hell, but in my opinion they just looked stupid. I actually like both Lady Gaga and Christina though, but this was a bit ridicules. They over-sang "Do What U Want" so much it was awkward. So after I watched this performance I am so happy neither of them did a performance with Celine.

 

I'm so happy with the energy Celine brought to the stage, and her performances might sometimes be cheesy too, but never trashy. It's like she just loves to be there and I absolutely love to watch her, she's delightful to watch and this was an amazing night for Celine.

REALLY GREAT PERFORMANCES!!

 

LCMM very good... that's something great in Celine.. she never tries any Diva Fighting (only with Aretha in that Divas Live and we will never know what happen in the dressing rooms.. there is a very funny video on youtube with comments of what it seems they are thinking) She was so generaous in the stage with this girl... that was her moment so Celine let all the spot to her... Really cool.

 

And then the Ne-Yo duet... Thankfully it was live and look that dreesss.. hot mama... hahahahahahaha... really great! Sexy but not trashy... The only thing that I still see it funny is how Celine.. that has been in stage since she was a child... sometimes still looks so nervous on the stage... I think she could seriously try some lessons with the top choreographer of the moment just to take some rules of stage presence in songs like Incredible and when you are with a singer/dancer like Ne-Yo... He make just simple movements but he is fully flowed.. natural in him. There is a moment that Celine looks at Ne-Yo like... "God.. how he do it! " She just seems so shy... she tries to make some movements.. but there is nooo flow anywhere.. hahahahaha... Just some sessions of rehearsal and it would be much more better and I think she would be more secure in the stage... But it was a great performances.... By th way... don't you think that this song needs something more when it is performanced in stage? I think it needs a little bit more climax... For me it sounds a little bit plain the whole time...
