For being in the music industry, I can tell you they NEVER delete any unused take I bet LOTS of beloved Celine's songs have alternative versions

 

That's presumably how we ended up with the alternate versions of Think Twice and Only One Road on the 3-disc Essential release - someone picked the wrong reels off the shelf...

Today I've heard unfinished songs on the radio at work. Celine is played quite daily, I'm alive, one heart and you and I enjoying being played But hearing unfinished songs despite making me happy because I really love the song, really surprised me, was it a single? An elder colleque was surprised hearing me singing along, she said she didn't expect someone at my age knowing this song. I told her that Celine is still heard in my generation. We both are massive fans and we hummed along together haha

Oh I'm hearing her every once in a while with mostly TTWII, you and I, BYLM and one heart she is still played. Of course not really often but I don't listen to radio very often either

I think she sounded fantastic on this song. It was the intentional lack of promotion that tanked it.

I feel the contrary, actually. I think she sounds like herself and adapted her voice to the more modern sound. Not quite the Sia impression she’s done on other songs.

I absolutely love this album, it came out right when I discovered her in 2013, together with my love the essential collection, it was this album which I bought first and which got me to know Celine and her songs. And since then I'm in love with her music and her personality. I'm simply happy to be her fan.

And because of all this, that album holds a special place in my heart, LMBTL is one of my top 5 favourite songs from Celine

To me, this album has aged very well. Songs like Save Your Soul, Loved Me Back To Life, Somebody Loves Somebody, Breakaway and Thankful have aged very well. The only thing I regret is that the full album wasn’t in that modern-yet classic feel and that, due to Renes illness and Celines unfortunate schedule with vegas around the time of the promotion, led to it not getting the full throttle promotion and touring it deserved.

Yeah, I wish they had left the Vegas stuff out. Shouldn't have used any old covers for the album. Taking Chances was so fresh, and LMBTL feels not quite as fresh and perhaps a little too laid back...but I still think it's produced well and her voice was great.

 

I love a lot of the songs the newer songs they picked. Also this is the start of the whole "bedroom voice" phenomenon ... and the whole WAAF controversy with that songwriter still leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Yeah it would have been interesting if the Asia Tour 2014 actually happened. It was said the setlist was planned to include several songs from the album, but well I think we all understand the circumstances around that time

LMBTL is my 2nd most fave album of hers, after FIY.
