Don't get me wrong, I am thrilled for you all with the success she's had there. I applaud it. I just don't like the nasty, unnecessary xenophobic comments that have been going around here the last few weeks. I don't believe you're one of the people I'm referring to.

 

I don't see myself as xenophobic and i'm neither US or UK citizen but i think if you look at the charts in the UK and in the US (not today specifically) you'll see a pattern about who has taste sorry but then again Annie Lennox's music has been snobbed in her own country from what i've seen on the charts so nobody's perfect

Unless a miracle happens with this week's promotion in the US (and I'm not optimistic), this album will be dead (at least in the US). What a shame. Unfortunately, the next one will

either end up being 14 ballads or 14 covers (7 of which will be Celine covering her own songs 😥😢)

I went to one of the biggest stores here in Brazil, and LMBTL was on the stand of the best selling albums. It's a very rare thing for Brazil and it made me happy.

I might repeat myself ( for those who actually read my post, but I love Beyonce) but there's actually a big gap between treatment towards Céline and Beyonce from Sony.

 

I was checking Céline's positions on Itunes UK and what a surprise... the full front page is dedicated to Beyonce!

 

On one hand, we have no music video and no ad for Céline ('s new single) and on the other hand, we have 17 music videos and virtual monopoly !

 

Sony has clearly chosen its side. Ironically, last Céline's album ( Taking Chances) sold more than last Beyonce's (4)...I would have thought that Céline would have got more means.

 

As a result, Beyonce is probably "sitting on the couch" counting her numerous No 1 and Céline - who is "officially" on holyday - has to do a TV show tour...

 

More surprising, Céline can't face the reality , she keeps on stating " of course, the music company wants me to be no1"... do they?

There are some things that it's better not to say in the interviews, like she doesn't want/care to be #1 anymore or that she doesn't care to sell records, and she's been saying this many times already in the promo, with a tone that it may sound arrogant for the people that don't know her.

 

It's nice that she feels so at ease with that and that she doesn't have more ambitions in this aspect, but saying this in every interview can give her some airs and graces (which she doesn't really have) and the (wrong) impression that she's full of herself, and that's no good at all for her image. Maybe she doesn't give a damn about sales and charts, but her record label does. So once she's stated this once in an interview, no need to keep telling the same everywhere. It can go against her.

Im so tired of hearing that this album is a flop. Ok, so we know it wasnt the greatest seller in the US but it is doing AMAZING in the UK and it is the best selling album in Canada since 2008...so what are people complaining about!!!!!! its not all about the US!!!!!!!

Unfortunately its the biggest market and the most influential, but UK is second so its all good in our book

Some of us sure love to bash other artists just cos they're not Celine, even if that artist has acknowledged multiple times how much they respect Celine. It is really sad to see how off-topic one can go and just compare something/someone even if it has nothing remotely to do with Celine or the topic of the thread. Then country bashing and calling each other out on who has a better 'taste in music'? Seriously, guys?

I'd LOVE to know which were the first two questions to the answers she gives in this video. It seems the journalist asked her about the supposed "flop" or low sales of the album in the US, or why she changed her style (as if it was a bad move)?
