Ejion Posted December 6, 2013 at 06:08 PM Posted December 6, 2013 at 06:08 PM i think i wanna get a LMBTL vinyl asap!!! :innocent: Yeah! You should! I pre-ordered mine (HMV Canada) Here's what's inside Go get it! It's my first vinyl ever! I'm really enjoying Celine's new album! I can't believe it's been a month since its release! It's really unfortunate they're not promoting it the way it deserves to be promoted. It really is an amazing, fresh album for Celine 5 Quote
LuisMa Posted December 6, 2013 at 07:03 PM Posted December 6, 2013 at 07:03 PM I saw this on Grammy.com, and I love it. It would be a dream come true if by this time next year we'll see nominations for the amazing album for the 57th ceremony. 1 Quote

At first I thought they were DVDs of the Grammys back then! If they were, I would definitely buy them! lol It'll be nice if they were though. I also wouldn't mind DVDs for the Oscars. Of course, I'll only buy the ones where Celine was present 1 Quote
Bóól'át'í Posted December 7, 2013 at 04:34 AM Posted December 7, 2013 at 04:34 AM (edited) No Grammy nominations for Celine this year which was expected. LMBTL the song was DOA for Celine in the US. And though she wouldnt have been nominated for it but Unfinished Songs was probably a non-factor in the movie song category. Edited December 7, 2013 at 04:46 AM by Bóól'át'í Quote
LuisMa Posted December 7, 2013 at 06:58 AM Posted December 7, 2013 at 06:58 AM (edited) Yes, I see Diane got her nomination but not for US. Now it's the label's mission to keep Celine in high visibility throughout this coming year for the album to stand a chance against next year's nominations. This year's noms are really pop, so if they are still next year, I could see her get at least one. If the Ne-Yo duet does some chart damage, I hope they capitalize on it and have both make a Grammy appearance, even if it is to present an award. Edited December 7, 2013 at 06:59 AM by LuisMa 1 Quote
LukeD Posted December 7, 2013 at 12:09 PM Posted December 7, 2013 at 12:09 PM (edited) It has been over a month since I first listened to the album and I still can't tell which my favorite song is. It used to be 'Thankful', but now it is somewhere inside the Top 5 along with 'Somebody Loves Somebody', Water And A Flame', 'Save Your Soul' and 'Didn't Know Love'. 'Loved Me Back To Life' and 'Breakaway' are really close too. I think it is the first time this happens with a Celine album for me, things used to be clearer. The songs are equally good and tracks #1 to #7 could have been smash hits had another singer released them. Edited December 7, 2013 at 12:11 PM by LukeD 5 Quote

Yeah, if "Incredible" gets some notoriety ot could easily be nominated for "best pop collaboration with vocals" or sth like that!and also the album, come on!!! 2 Quote
Neddo Posted December 7, 2013 at 04:16 PM Posted December 7, 2013 at 04:16 PM What's good in this case is that Celine nor her team were creating 'fake buzz'. Celine simply stated that she's modernising her ballads and that's what she did succesful. Also her new voice textures and edginess are here. Album is modern except covers. Unlike this, back in 2007 "Taking Chances" title itself set the bar too high in that manner. That's why this album won positive reviews. It was a desicion made by Celine herself. Hopefully Celine will make full brand new album in next few years. That album should be a reinvention, not just a couple of modern ballads and covers. It should be a dance, uptempo; straightforward EDM or jazz album which is her wish. In first case new songs only but in second as many covers she wants. Because Celine should follow her own heart in next album and write something. And it would be great if we get 2 disc album with very few songs on discs. That would be an album that would truly help her to finally sink Titanic that's around her for 15 years. She needs to let go in future, and I think she would really like to. But still, I really wish that Celine made few uptempo EDM songs like Madonna's Jump, Agnes's Got Me Good etc... 6 Quote http://imageshack.us/a/img138/7804/5tq2.png
c4n4d4 Posted December 7, 2013 at 08:32 PM Posted December 7, 2013 at 08:32 PM I don't see Celine pulling off a successful EDM album. It wouldn't sell that well. While this new album is more modern and edgy she is still getting complaints that its too different from her stuff in the past and an entire EDM album would look like her being a sell out to try and appeal to a much younger audience than the one that she has now mostly. Now a jazz album would be a different story and could have potential great success. Mr Paganini is a hit in Vegas and a favorite by those who see the show and jazz is not a total change from what we already get from her now and in the past. Its something she could do and not be ridiculed for by the media and public. 3 Quote http://24.media.tumblr.com/5fc8ed1dcd8690c2a8e2cad08629e4ba/tumblr_mrwbegFInv1rothmmo1_500.jpgJanuary 5, 2013 -- Las Vegas August 18, 2013 -- Las Vegas
LuisMa Posted December 7, 2013 at 08:37 PM Posted December 7, 2013 at 08:37 PM (edited) Actually that was the question I submitted for the Graham Norton show, how would she feel if she were presented with the idea of recording a full EDM album. It would be interesting to hear her point of view on the topic. Edited December 7, 2013 at 08:47 PM by LuisMa 1 Quote

CSCfan Posted December 8, 2013 at 01:48 PM Posted December 8, 2013 at 01:48 PM EDM stands for electronic dance music. By the time Céline would record an EDM album, the "EDM era" is already over...she should stick to something more original (no pun intended). 1 Quote »»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»»» MATHIAS ««««««««««««««««««««««««««««««««https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NzPrxI0AIDY

Especially when she herself says that today she records music just for pleasure, without being afraid of the sales and the success, she will only do what she likes to do. My two cents is that she won't get much more attention if she steps back again in her next album and does again what she's done for her entire career. She's made a big effort in this album to convince people that she is trying to be modern and to do different things, so going back to what she's already done for 25 years would be nosense. An EDM album would be great, fun and so refreshing for everyone, both for her and the public, who is also tired to see her doing the same things for decades and she feels that too. And if she were to be "ridiculed", what she has to lose? Nothing, absolutely nothing. But has a lot to win for trying new things Edited December 8, 2013 at 02:32 PM by Javito Quote "Hush, now... They don't seem to work and they don't seem to sell. So even if she doesn't care about how an album does or is recieved Sony and René will. A jazz album would be amazing and would also be recieved with open arms by most (pun intended). One Heart was a single and yet she has never performed one single time in a concert. How can people learn to love those songs if she never gives them a chance? Btw I LOVE One Heart album I never said everybody agrees that OH was their least favorite, I said "a lot" and that's your opinion but it still comes back to the fact that just because it wasn't performed and "not given a chance" that it would be a smash hit and successful if it was. In my personal opinion OH, while some songs were good (ie. IDAN, Reveal, IKWLI) were decent most of the pop/dance songs on there are overly cheesy and ridiculous the title track being one of them. But this is besides the point of my discussion about her releasing an EDM album vs releasing a jazz album. I truly believe that if she released an EDM album today it would receive poor reviews, possibly receive open backlash by the media and general public, and it would flop. Sony and Celine got it right the formula for modern and current music right with the LMBTL album while still staying true to what Celine is known and loved for. 4 Quote http://24.media.tumblr.com/5fc8ed1dcd8690c2a8e2cad08629e4ba/tumblr_mrwbegFInv1rothmmo1_500.jpgJanuary 5, 2013 -- Las Vegas August 18, 2013 -- Las Vegas
