Popular Post Shesings2me Posted November 6, 2013 at 07:29 AM Popular Post Posted November 6, 2013 at 07:29 AM Hi everyone, very long time no see!! It turns out it was my Forum Anniversary yesterday (6 years); it's just after midnight here in Calgary, AB, but I haven't been on here in way, way, way too long, like maybe over 2 years at least. So I thought how fitting my Forum Anniversary was the date of this Album release; and so why not go say Hello to Celine friends old & new, and share with you how happy I am to have gone to get my CD earlier today. This album is indeed very refreshing, light, soulful, and uplifting. It filled me with renewed energy and I can't wait to blast it again in the car on my way to work in the morning. I wish you all well & happy listening, safe travels, and hope we get opportunities to meet in future. Meeting Celine friends from around the world and making lasting, special friendships has been Celine's greatest gift to me. <3 Take care 13 Quote http://img341.imageshack.us/img341/5273/18771156.jpg
Taking Chances Posted November 6, 2013 at 07:30 AM Posted November 6, 2013 at 07:30 AM I'm going to bed now, will check it out later today unless someone else does before me. Alright, but if no one has, will you get back to me? Sleep tight, Koolan! Quote
browseceline Posted November 6, 2013 at 07:44 AM Posted November 6, 2013 at 07:44 AM I love, love, love having the CD and have been listening to it nonstop . . . but I've been having an issue with some static-y sounds on my CD, which I got at Target . . .it's especially noticeable in the beginning notes on Incredible and Somebody Loves Somebody, and somewhat on the beginning of Breakaway. Where it's on the piano notes, it sounds like the piano needs tuning badly . . .I would think Celine's team can afford a good piano tuner, so I'm assuming it's some issue with the CD. Has anyone else been having this issue? Wondering if I should buy the songs on iTunes also to get better quality! Haha well the piano is usually a digital one and they did make it sound distorted for the effect, but it does not do anything to the song. As for somebody loves somebody there is a good reason; they use a sort of vibrating hammond organ/flutesound in the start that has an old vibe/feeling, to accentuate that they added vinyl sound 1 Quote <iframe width="640" height="390" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/hl2XkxnYljg" frameborder="0" allow="autoplay; encrypted-media" allowfullscreen></iframe>
browseceline Posted November 6, 2013 at 07:48 AM Posted November 6, 2013 at 07:48 AM i don't like at all, too much syrup maybe. But i respect people who likes it. if i go back, i don't like the syrup if the music that accompaniate it don't make me forget. the music is just so ordinary for me in this song, i have the impression to have heard it a million times, and the lyrics....so , nothing to gain for me. But just one song that i hate is great. I agree with you about the melody. It sounded familiar to me as well. That said, i do like this song Quote <iframe width="640" height="390" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/hl2XkxnYljg" frameborder="0" allow="autoplay; encrypted-media" allowfullscreen></iframe>
CelinesDIVO5 Posted November 6, 2013 at 08:11 AM Posted November 6, 2013 at 08:11 AM http://music.cbc.ca/...ike-Celine-Dion strike the pose CelineI am totally having this made into a poster... Is it the first time she has forgotten to name the fans in the thank you's in the booklet??? I found that strange Btw I'm disappointed with the booklet design. I know I already said this about the photos (yes I still think the album would gain a lot more with colour pictures, having in mind how amazing she looked with her hair in that session) but I didn't expect such a poor booklet. This has to be the shortest booklet she's ever made since Unison. From the huge loads of photos they took, very few made into the album right? Also, the lyrics seem to be crowded together as if they wanted to save space (and colour). Are you happy with anything?! LOL I don't understand the hate towards "Always Be Your Girl"...I think it's beautiful, and her voice is so crystal clear on this track. I also never understood all the hate towards "Unfinished Songs"...I agree, it did sound like it need a little update from the first time we heard it. However, I still thought the song had a nice melody, and a nice message. It's a feel good, uplifting song. I actually LOVE the new arrangement!! I listened to it on full blast in my headphones and you can hear so many different colours in the music. I think it was a fantastic way to close the tracklist. 4 Quote https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PL54qnRGM2gMatthew Charles - "Fix You" - Live at The Stonewall InnStonewall Sensation - Season 15Originally written and performed by Coldplay

zenmeban Posted November 6, 2013 at 08:56 AM Posted November 6, 2013 at 08:56 AM I'm longing to hear Open Arms. I just wish it was in the album, instead of Overjoyed. Or in the international bonus tracks instead of HDYKTMP. I don't understand, Open Arms is the more pop ballad among the Vegas covers, and it's the only one they didn't use for the album. 1 Quote BRICEhttp://s17.postimg.org/7igcotu27/DFGHLK.jpg
Javito Posted November 6, 2013 at 09:40 AM Posted November 6, 2013 at 09:40 AM Are you happy with anything?! LOL Of course, the vinyl edition is the best thing they've done with her albums in many years! To the point that it seems it has been designed by a completely different team of people than the CD booklet 3 Quote "Hush, now... I see a light in the sky"

Its as if the piano resounded because the speakers were so loud in the studio 2 Quote "Hush, now... I see a light in the sky"
Celineforeveranangel Posted November 6, 2013 at 09:48 AM Posted November 6, 2013 at 09:48 AM (edited) I cannot tell you how jealous I am reading this topic and you all have the album!! I guess I've just got so used to the UK getting the album a day before everyone else. This extra week is killing me! LOL You telling me I'm dying here. I ordered the vinyl edition which was gonna come today but now delivery is only expected 19 December and I can only get the Itunes pre order next week. I ordered the deluxe edition and shirt from the Celine boutique but haven't even heard if it's been shipped I want to cry Edited November 6, 2013 at 09:57 AM by Celineforeveranangel Quote http://i477.photobucket.com/albums/rr140/Celineforeveranangel/6673.jpgI love Celine!!!!!!!!!!
DionFanAlways Posted November 6, 2013 at 11:16 AM Posted November 6, 2013 at 11:16 AM (edited) I'm not good at writing reviews, the cd is amazing! These two little tracks, Thank You and Thankful, I find pure enjoyment. I tought it was stupid to have two songs titled like that on a cd but, I love them!SYS is a surprise for me also, can't get enough of it! I really think the little clip of her in the studio helped cement the enjoyment of this song for me! So yes, a video does help a song tremendously!SLS, I think I love this more than LMBTL! (and I love LMBTL)WAAF, I just keep repeating the bridge, Amazing! However I find the lyrics wonderful also. I see why she likes this song!At 17, Hey I loved the original. Janis Ian's album, Between the Lines, is a masterpiece to me. Still have it as a matter fact!DKL and Breakaway, :wub:Incredible is.... Incredible!Unfinished Saongs, good.Overjoyed, no comment, Chirpping birds add to the dislike of this song.ABYG, odd lyrics, Yes her voice sounds wonderful but for me it's the context of the lyrics. I would not tell my sons, 'I'll always be your girl.' Edited November 6, 2013 at 11:23 AM by DionFanAlways 7 Quote I have had the time of my life following this woman! Much love.

Jessyka Posted November 6, 2013 at 11:26 AM Posted November 6, 2013 at 11:26 AM I read an interview yesterday (a quebec interview on the web) and that said that Mr. Paganni is not on the current album because they have a project of jazz album OMG! bilinkew Posted November 6, 2013 at 11:26 AM Posted November 6, 2013 at 11:26 AM Radio 2 playing 'Water and a Flame' today as part of their 'Album of the Week' feature - great overall impression of the album so far. Hoping that we get 'Incredible' tomorrow or Friday. This is really great promo as with 'Loved Me Back To Life' being played for the past few weeks UK listeners will have heard 1/2 of the album tracks by the end of the week 3 Quote

BartFCS Posted November 6, 2013 at 11:45 AM Posted November 6, 2013 at 11:45 AM Yes, I noticed the piano thing at the start of Incredible too! What's going on there? Its as if the piano resounded because the speakers were so loud in the studio I'm afraid that's on purpose. Part of production ideas. There is now way something like that could be overlooked. When you mix a song and you do your final check you pay attention to intro a lot. There's still some issues that worry me about mixing. I noticed clipping in few songs (iTunes) but I'll wait until I got my CD and listen to it on studio monitors. Quote
Del Posted November 6, 2013 at 12:12 PM Posted November 6, 2013 at 12:12 PM this album is extra up until this song ABYG, this song is awful, it took me all my will power to listen to it until the end. But the rest is great, thanks CelineSee with me... switch it with Overjoyed and that's how I feel. haha 1 Quote Instagram: @delphis78

I would not tell my sons, 'I'll always be your girl.' Maybe not, but you might tell your sons "That girl ain't for you!"... so indirectly it's the same... By the way, I'm not a fan of that song either. Lyrics are too... mmm... cheesy or over the top for a boy... 3 Quote

dmeredith Posted November 6, 2013 at 02:05 PM Posted November 6, 2013 at 02:05 PM I got mine from the boutique this afternoon, I also picked up a copy at Target just in case it didn't come. I ordered on Sept. 17 if the date matters. I know with Sans Attendre I ordered very late and it came on Thursday after the release date, so 2 days later. Hope this helps. I agree, though all preorders should be arriving on the release date. I pre-ordered on Sept. 3rd. My copy of SA didn't arrive by the release date either. It arrived several days later. Where one lives, in the United Sates, might determine when we receive the CD. I can only speculate about that since several US citizens, here on the forum, were lucky enough to have gotten their copy while several others haven't. Boo hoo! Not fair!! LOL 4 Quote
