québecflower Posted December 17, 2013 at 01:44 AM Posted December 17, 2013 at 01:44 AM I want to see the making of video of breakaway in the studio. Hopeful we'll get to see it since it's now a single. Maybe it is not even Celine who sings that song, they could have hired a stunt singer.. 5 Quote Plus qu'ailleurs , but now Si c'était à refaire , i still love tant de temps....

Too good! That's right I even heard she lipped it, mimed it and used playback all at the same time in the studio while recording it! Edited December 17, 2013 at 02:54 AM by DionFanAlways Quote I have had the time of my life following this woman! Much love.
mike_z Posted December 17, 2013 at 03:25 AM Posted December 17, 2013 at 03:25 AM Since the chorus has been pitched we'll never listen to the real recording session... But at least one with the album track! Quote

mike_z Posted December 18, 2013 at 12:24 AM Posted December 18, 2013 at 12:24 AM In the end it was another artist who was operating a wrecking ball. Yeah! Céline came in like a wrecking ball! (at least in the UK, France and Canada!) It's still REALLY impressive she can do that at her age, and with her clothes on. 3 Quote

USA is a very strong market for Gaga, and she was at 3 high profile shows in the past few weeks. And her song with R Kelly is only at #14 when Céline's climbed out of nowhere to #23 She is a force that can't be ignored. I hope SONY takes note and urges Céline to release a followup in 2015! 3 Quote

Her best move would be to release a new album in late 2014 or early 2015, doesn't have to be long, just coherent and modern. 2 Quote
mike_z Posted December 19, 2013 at 06:50 AM Posted December 19, 2013 at 06:50 AM I just hope she doesn't give up with her "new" self! Critics haven't been as good since the 90s!! And someone convince her this album is a success! Too bad they won't be betting on Breakaway. We'll see if Céline plans something for the UK in april!! This album will have some legs! Quote

A new french album in late 2014 should be a must, after the success of Sans Attendre. And then maybe in 2015 a BRAND NEW english album, with all new songs and a real tracklist. I would love to see a jazz album in 2015, featuring the Mr Paganini recording that they kept for this purpose, and also a recording of Summertime with an arrangement similar to her amazing live performance in 2006. 2 Quote

Since I adore 'Sans Attendre' and really enjoy 'Loved Me Back To Life' I'm sure I could wait for like 2 full years. 1 Quote

Yes she has her breaks, she will have them, now she'll go to Vegas and we won't have more news of her God knows until when, she will do her 2 hour show and go home, so it's not like Céline has a 8 hour/5 days a week job. She has time come on! She can start listening to new songs or request them to french songwriters, english producers etc and think about the CONCEPT for her next english material (something that has been totally missing in this last album). I'm not saying she has to enter the recording studio again right now, I'm just saying that they can start thinking in what they want to do next (precisely to avoid the 6-year gap until she released LMBTL, because they had no idea of what to do with the project) I want her next albums to be concept albums, perhaps Spanish language or a jazz album. Amen to that Quote "Hush, now... I see a light in the sky"

LuisMa Posted December 19, 2013 at 10:00 PM Posted December 19, 2013 at 10:00 PM (edited) Actually you're right. I also didn't read it properly. It says the latter tune, and the latter refers to the title track, as it's the referential/antecedent mentioned in the article. In "Breakaway" she uses plenty of swooping vocal technique to sell her despair as she wonders, "What if all I am without the pain is empty heartache?" (It's one of several lines that make less sense on the page than it does set to music.) And the title track layers her singing over a stately marching-drum beat evidently designed to get audience members to wave their illuminated cellphones. Not coincidentally, the latter tune is among the handful from the new album that Dion said she's adding to her show at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, where she's next scheduled to perform Dec. 30 and 31.
