In the Japanese version toward the end of the course, it almost sounds like she’s singing the word heartbeat, but I’m sure I’m probably just miss hearing something as it doesn’t make sense for a random English word to be sung there. neilpharmd Posted July 28, 2024 at 04:15 PM Posted July 28, 2024 at 04:15 PM noticed that Apple Music has a Dolby Atmos track of "To Love You More" and heard more pronounced instrumentation that I haven't noticed before. When she sings the second verse, you can hear the boom of tympani drums which was always there but now has more "punch". And throughout the track, the synth parts are highlighted even more than before. What's cool too is you definitely can hear the guitar glissando during that 2-beat pause before the last chorus. Always loved TYLM, love it even more now! 2 Quote

woodstock Posted July 29, 2024 at 09:19 AM Posted July 29, 2024 at 09:19 AM It's the same mix as the one that had been made available years ago on the SACD version of "All the Way...A decade of songs". I like this version so much better, too ! 1 Quote

I like this version so much better, too ! yes, you're right... and the SACD has even more bass and lows emphasis... I can her a lot more instruments there also... the Dolby Atmos is great, but sometimes I found them to be a bit muffled and not that fuller of a sound 1 Quote

Squall Posted September 21, 2024 at 06:26 PM Posted September 21, 2024 at 06:26 PM (edited) So, I've been Celine starved and have been seeking out rare Celine stuff on ebay to buy. I decided to pick up the radio promo of Tell Him. I remember waaaay back before Let's Talk About Love came out, there was a mockup of the album cover and it actually titled the album "The Reason." I have been trying to find evidence of this for the longest time and have come up with nothing. I started thinking I was crazy and I just remembered wrong. Well, I saw this on the back of the "Tell Him" promo single: "Taken from the forth coming album: Celine Dion: The Reason" Edited September 21, 2024 at 06:32 PM by Squall 1 Quote

Well, I saw this on the back of the "Tell Him" promo single: "Taken from the forth coming album: Celine Dion: The Reason" Yep, the album was originally announced as The Reason (a much more interesting, enigmatic, better title, I think), but then that quietly went away after Carole King refused to give up the requested portion of her publishing for the "privilege" of being on the album. Given his status at the time, I wouldn't have thought Bryan Adams would give up any of his publishing either, but he got the album title... I should point out that I don't believe it's ever been confirmed that publishing rights issues were the reason for the name change, but that was always my sense of how things went based on timing. 3 Quote

ryba Posted September 21, 2024 at 09:22 PM Posted September 21, 2024 at 09:22 PM Well, the title LTAL reflects the idea that all the songs on the album are talking about love and that it’s a love album. The reason IMO was initially supposed to reflect the reason why Celine was so immensely successful with the reason being her new album with all those awesome songs. But that would be quite arrogant, and as we know Celine never wants to be pretentious Quote

Taking Chances Posted September 22, 2024 at 12:46 PM Posted September 22, 2024 at 12:46 PM interesting title change. Never heard that before. Only other similar instance was with the Loved Me Back to Life album when it was going to be called Water And a Flame. I don't think I knew that Let's Talk About Love was originally gonna be named The Reason. Interesting! I've always wondered why her french albums are not always named after a song from the album, but her English albums always are. (D'eux, 1 fille & 4 types, D'elles, Sans attendre) I love album titles that isn't named after a song from the album. The closest thing we have for her English albums are These Are Special Times instead of These Are THE Special Times, The Collector's Series Volume One and the Celine Dion album. And speaking of Loved Me Back To Life, Water And A Flame is much better title for the album I think. I wish they kept the original title for the album. 2 Quote

They changed it after fans pointed that it was the name of Shania Twain's iconic album I remember this, but was that an official title before it was changed? I can't remember where that title came from anymore. I remember some fans said that Shania's album was called that, but Shania's album came out 12 years before Taking Chances, so surly Celine's team would be aware of that. The album could have been called "That's Just The Woman In Me". Either way, I never understood what the issue would be calling it Woman In Me. It's a pretty common title for various celebrity projects. Edited September 22, 2024 at 06:09 PM by Taking Chances Quote
