I really liked it. Her deep notes are very clear and not nasal at all (like it comes to be nowadays). The only thing a miss is some reverb effect in her voice. It sounds too "dry" for me.

She looks the biggest icon possible - everything a megastar should be, she just looks phenomenal. And then she sounds fantastic too, live or pre-recorded.

i love how she has restrained herself, it seems that the shooting and screeming time has come to an end, i,m very gratefull.... i like the big notes but not too often And i don't care if it's lipped or not, like i said earlier, this special was a no win situation for her, she has done it out of respect.

Usher tackles "I Believe in You and Me" from "The Preacher's Wife" soundtrack, and Celine Dion's "The Greatest Love of All" is intercut with clips of a version Dion sang in 1987.

 

 

How can this be possible when the 2 performances are in different keys?! Unless they use the use the new audio throughout and use that over parts of the old 1987 video...

It's very nice to hear her sing in a lot more controlled way and not just screaming here and there like someone pointed out. However I think it is odd for two reasons:

1. Don't know why she goes nasal when it's a pre-recorded track, they could have worked more to avoid that.

2. She sounds as if she was sitting down (she sounds as if she doesn’t push all the air out) while recording the track. That makes it all very bizarre to see her standing there waving around when it sounds as if she's quietly sitting down.

 

Still nice to see her perform something else than the same old same old.

Some people here are so quick to judge. This reminds me when some people here back in June 2012 claimed that ''Rolling In The Deep'' was lipped when it was in fact LIVE.

From your comments on youtube, I thought you said you were there, Gab. Also, I didn't know you were such a hater and no different than those Mariah/Whitney fanatics who abuse others.

 

A fact based on a 4 seconds footage.. yeah right... LOL!

BTW, there are no ''jaw shaking'' movements in the extremely short video footage we have see so far. Just saying.

From the one-minute clip, take a closer look at 00:30, 00:38 and 01:00 markers. It's also totally evident from her usual gestures.

You've heard 25% of a song - complained about the pitch, the arrangement, the volume of the backing track, the vocals, the lipping, the emotion, the use of autotune.

 

We get it - you don't like it. BYE.

Wayne, you know I love you, but what YOU are saying is ridiculous. Put this audio track on any audio editor and the pitch corrections can be seen. So what Robyn was saying isn't completely wrong. It just ends up to personal preference whether one wants to see a 'perfect' lipped performance or an imperfect yet a true live one.

What I hear is a lot of compression. So much compression that it becomes a very dry and lifeless vocal. And if they had added a slightly bit of reverb to compensate that.. but they did not.
