In 3:08 her low notes really sounds like it's a recording. And after that when she does the high "Of ALL" look at her mouth, it's not coming from there! If it was you could see this.

I don't care she lipped, we got an amazing performance! But just don't understand why. "Saving All My Love" acapella sounded beautifull...

 

In one respect, with so many people watching this, I'd rather her get it right than sound strained. I've watched this countless times already and honestly at first, I was thinking that she didn't sound as strong as she has in other live performances of songs. It's growing on me now, I'm just surprised that if this really was a recording, that she didn't sing in a higher pitch

Was thrilled to see Celine on the stage again looking so gorgeous as always. I thought her tribute to Whitney was very well done and the little gesture at the end to Whitney in heaven was very touching and classy. Celine is a doll!

I really REALLY enjoyed that performance. I don't care if it was lipped. I actually think she sounded a lot like she did in her Incognito-RCOML era. Her low notes are really incredible now. Guys after reading all the Whitney v Celine argument in here the last few days (which i think is disgusting considering this was a tribute) i just wanted you to know what WHITNEY fans say about our celine throughout the topic about this occasion, in a Whitney forum. Whitney fans are happy to have celine, they dont compare, and appreciate how talented celine is. All forums have negative comments but in this topic they are mainly positive about Celine. Why in this forum do we slag every other artist off? This was a tribute, and sadly some of this topic is full of arguing about who is best. Was really nice to go into that forum and see so many positive posts about celine.

Well said...thank you for sharing what Whitney's fans have to say about her. They're kinder/more gracious to our singer than some of us/her own "fans?" Why are we arguing about who's better, Celine or a person who deserves to rest in peace? Why couldn't they equally share the spotlight in true diva manner? Good grief, people...

That said, I think Celine was Amazing last night. OMG at that end note, she held that for soooooo loooooong. And her speech was so beautiful/inspirational/meaningful. I love Our Celine...anyone who says/calls her that...

So worth seeing...and although this is a different topic, Jennifer Hudson & Usher were also amazing...

Celine would never do a MC tribute, as far as I know they have never said that either influenced the other, and well, we all know that Celine has CLASS that Mariah has never received any schooling in, so there is no reason for Celine to ever sing a Mariah bone thugs and harmony number

Absolutely loved the acapella bit at the beginning!!! So glad she was part of it all!!

I find her main performance a little odd because her voice sounds a little different, like her pitch is lower and less clear. I can't actually recognise the voice of Celine Dion at the beginning of the song. A little puzzled why she did that. She's used to sing other people's songs and never had to change her voice for that. Still I will always love a new song from Celine, especially one of the great Whitney!!

About the lip synching... I'm one of those we believe she should always sing live when on TV. However when it's a special song that she sings once in a lifetime it doesn't bother me too much. I was so surprised she sang live on TVA in Quebec and just loved it!!! Live is SO much better and more emotional.

It really doesn't matter for me whether it is lipped or not. Celine sounds great anyway, though her pitch is lower and not as clear as it used to be. Celine is getting old, but who dosen't? It's no way possible Celine can sing as she did during the FIY era. Actually I really enjoy the way celine sings now, more maturity in the voice.
