That's probably the dilemma Sony is facing now... When will the movie be released??? And when to release the song???No wonder we are not getting any news. No release dates have been chosen for the movie... Quote

And when to release the song???No wonder we are not getting any news. No release dates have been chosen for the movie... I would hope that Sony hadn't planned Celine's entire album launch around the unconfirmed release date of a low budget British movie. Although honestly nothing surprises me these days. Matej Posted September 22, 2012 at 05:58 PM Posted September 22, 2012 at 05:58 PM Thanks for posting the article! It's about the release date of the film only in United States and in my opinion it will have not any impact to the worldwide release date of the album. There is no official announcement about the (postponed) release dates of the album, so it means the album with this song is still coming as planned. Quote
drove all night Posted September 22, 2012 at 06:14 PM Posted September 22, 2012 at 06:14 PM Thanx for the info. Seems to be that the album will come before that movie ... So. Still: Unfinished hopes about hearing Unfinished Song. Quote

Some fans are insinuating that the *possible* (not confirmed) delay in the english album release may depend on the date of the movie release, like they're holding up Céline's album because it includes the movie's song and they can't release it until the movie is released. To me, that theory is ridiculous (we're not talking of a blockbuster like Titanic, right? ) Edited September 22, 2012 at 06:45 PM by Javito Quote "Hush, now... I see a light in the sky"

To me, that theory is ridiculous (we're not talking of a blockbuster like Titanic, right? ) I'm not saying the album release depends on when the movie will be released. What I'm saying is the SINGLE RELEASE depends on the movie release!!!! Of course Sony wants to plan the release of the single Unfinished Songs with the release of the movie... It's a good promotion, even if the movie isn't Titanic... But the timing has to be right. They can't release the song two months before the movie!!! Quote

But who says "A Song for Marion" is going to be the first single now?? Weren't we told that is going to be "Water and a Flame" already? And still I don't see why they could not release the album or the first single even if its the song of that movie. MHWGO was available in the Titanic soundtrack a month before the opening of the movie in theaters. The single was released in december (despite the song being already available in the movie soundtrack). browseceline Posted September 23, 2012 at 10:19 AM Posted September 23, 2012 at 10:19 AM and by the way, that Diane Warren wrote this song does not automatically mean it is a very good song of course. Maybe, I can't believe it, maybe water and a flame is even better? MrTim212 Posted September 23, 2012 at 10:04 PM Posted September 23, 2012 at 10:04 PM Who's "they?" I think the poster is only saying that because it's exactly 2 weeks from when it was announced that the single would go for adds "in 2 weeks." However, the only place I saw that was on the @cditalia twitter who never gave a source. Fingers crossed that we get something next week, but honestly, she could be going the route that Streisand did on her last 2 albums. No singles. Quote je me changerai en or pour que tu m'aimes encore
Kyle_Jared Posted September 23, 2012 at 11:54 PM Posted September 23, 2012 at 11:54 PM Streisand does not really release a single because she wouldn't get any airplay. She's 70 and her style now is just not played on radio. Celine can still get some (mind you it will be interesting to see after this release)....all depends on song. Ne-Yo is hot right now, has a big hit on his hands with Let me Love you....so releasing the duet with him to me seems to make sense too. Anybody else think she should release the duet with him as a single? Quote
