THIS IS DEFENITLY ONE OF CELINE"S BEST. I know she's still got it all the time. The way I see CELINE she's PERFECTIOn, how she evolved and how she emerged with this recording is unvelievable,... I mean performing almost always and yet doing this??/ Who else can better her? She's the BEST. THE ONLY ONE. Nobody can compete with her. AND THE BEST PART SHE"S SO HUMBLE< DOWN TO EARTH. A REAL GEM. What are you waiting for ? The official soundcloud files are available on the finnish website. And it's legal.

You have to wait a while for the links to appear. The page is loading slowly. In the beginnng, the space below "Kuuntele Loved Me Back To Life -albumia:" is empty

hmm..so is the stream available only for Finns?!

 

It works for me, I'm not in Finland.

Both the tracks from the Finnish site and Greek site say that the audio is has not been made available for streaming in your location. Looks like US fans won't be able to use these sites.

weird... I'm listening to them from Spain too...

 

And it is an amazing album! hahahaha

God.. Thankful is truly AMAZING! and Save your Soul it is a surprise I didn't expect from the snippet... it has and incredible begining and verses... as always.. the chorus is the worst part...

That does not necessarily mean it will be available for all countries though

That does not necessarily mean it will be available for all countries though. Most f the time when something like this is available in Europe or Asia it's not in the US. It's similar to her French music videos of the 3 released by Vevo from SA the US is only able to watch QPVSA. So I wouldn't expect the US to be able to hear the songs via these Eropean websites, not Deezer which isn't avaliable to those in the US

You can hear about 2 mins of each song on a video just posted on YT by "Unison Celine".

 

 

All the new music makes me happy, I just wish we had one or two new songs. Celine's definitely singing differently than she ever has in her career. This is a sound that's not been explored by her.....I think it's actually evidence of her using technique more and more because her voice is on the downswing, as happens to all singers after a certain point. She can no longer rely on her voice alone. I haven't heard her go above E5 much.

Writing my reviews as I'm listening to each song:

 

Loved Me Back To Life: Great track, I'll never get tired of the climax part.

 

Incredible: I'm glad to finally hear a HQ version, the piano intro gives me chills every time! By the way, it's weird that on that Swedish radio this is track 2 instead of 3, maybe they changed their mind last minute and will release this song as the second single? ^_^

 

Somebody Loves Somebody: Great song, very demanding vocally. We'll see how she goes through it live later today!

 

Water and a Flame: I can definitely feel that 'Adele' approach that Celine mentioned on this song. She probably wanted to get into a more realistic situation than her other songs; instead of ideal love (like The Power Of Love, Because You Loved Me, Falling Into You, The Reason... etc), on Water and a Flame she sings about a much more realistic situation, and the instrumental reminds me of the atmosphere of Adele's '21'.

 

Breakaway: Holy f*ck! What an intro! What a voice! My god :teary: , she NEEDS to do this one live!! This instrumental is so damn powerful. Please Sony, TeamCeline, or whoever is in charge of this, make this a world radio hit! F*CK those belted notes!! :worthy:

 

Save Your Soul: Didn't like the preview, but I'm liking the short intro. The song has potential to become like a theme for a TV commercial or a series or something like that. To me this is a mix between an unreleased track of 'One Heart' and Shadow Of Love 2. Not very impressed by this one..., it also reminds me of the intro theme for 'That's So Raven!' :P

 

Didn't Know Love: HQ audio makes such a huge difference. The short clip from that interview on 'The Today Show' on June of last year didn't get me too excited but damn, what a great song. Like Water and a Flame, this one reminds me of the '21' atmosphere, I can definitely feel the touch of Eg White.

 

Thank You: Nice mid-tempo intro. I was very interested on listening to this particular track, sounds very radio-friendly! That 'wooahh' makes all the difference :in_love: . Like I said when I first heard the snippet, this song has a very Because You Loved Me message, but with a much more modern sound! I can definitely relate to this track, I LOVE YOU CELINE DION :blushing: :crybaby:

 

Overjoyed: Sounds like they re-arrenged this song or something, nice! I wonder if they filmed the recording of this song. Well, nice track but not stunning like other songs on the record so far... Oh this song doesn't fit this album at all.

 

Thankful: Piano intro. Nice song, but not better than Breakaway, at least for now... Hey what's that echo?? Nice! WHERE DID THAT CHORUS COME FROM?!?! :eek: LOVE IT!

 

At Seventeen: I've heard this song in her voice too many times by now, but nice studio take. My mother's gonna love it. Despite the lyrics, it's a very relaxing song. Nice guitar solo there! Coming to my mind right now is a mix of images of her singing the song for the very first time at the '08 Grammy Nominations Concert and that clip of the studio recording session. So cool!

 

Always Be Your Girl: Finally this song sees the light of day, 2 years after it was recorded! Very powerful lyrics. Nice melody, quite emotional!

 

Unfinished Songs: I mean what a nice different intro! I didn't know this new version was going to sound soo different, great! This one is much more modern, oh I love it! Wow, what a way to improve a song. At first I wasn't sure about having a mid-tempo track like this one closing the album, but damn it's a good way to close it!

 

Overall, I consider this one her greatest English album since 'A New Day Has Come'. Can't wait to hear the 3 remaining songs!

Ok I really have to be writing a paper. But it's boring anyway so I'll write something about my opinion on this album for now (unfortunately that won't get me a good grade... oh well.)

 

I was really not excited about Loved Me Back To Life and Somebody Loves Somebody, to be honest. They are good songs but I'm réally not a fan of that modern style of music. I feel like Celine is too good for this kind of music (now don't shoot me :P) so I actually thought I wouldn't be buying this album because it's not my style. Well it still isn't, but now that I've listened to the entire album (just once) I'm more excited! There are a lot of songs that don't really do it for me but that's just because I don't like the style of them (SYS, SLS LMBTL and Incredible) but the other songs surprised me! Overall I enjoyed this first listen and I have to add, Unfinished Songs makes me extremely happy :) I will be singing that doing the dishes from now on :)

I love this album more and more with every other second it's playing. I listened to it until I fell asleep and the first thing I did when I woke up was to push the button Play. It's a real treat for the fans from Celine. We have everything we like + more! Every song has its own story to tell and is amazingly crafted, it just brings you! I want to "hug" all the songs!

I love everything about this album. It feels like 1995/1996 and I'm discovering Celine again for the first time. Amazing.
