Kind of random but i was seeing the numbers of daily views of Celine’s music videos on Kworb and i was utterly surprised that Love Can Move Mountains music video only managed to pull like 500 views in a day yet the underrated songs like Water From The Moon and Nothing Broken But My Heart videos could pull around 4.000 - 5.000 views in a day, even Halfway To Heaven (which is an audio only) pulled 1.000 views in a day.

I always thought that Love Can Move Mountains was one of her biggest hits considering that she always performed it and it was included on both All The Way and My Love greatest hits albums :giggle:

Oh, beside Céline ( and René), we've found a third person who gives a da** about LCMM.

How sweet is that. biggrin2.gif

A really rare Pokemon you are. giggle.gif

No, I think that she feels obligated to sing LCMM in every show because it’s an uptempo number and she just keeps on adding it, although everyone is already sick of it.

Unison would be way better! Im so tired of LCMM! I always skip it now!

Meh it’s one of the songs i often skip. I was trying to say it’s ironic that it’s one of the songs that she always performs, got included on both of the greatest hits album, yet it gets increases like 500 views on YouTube per day, even the underrated ones she rarely performed and didn’t get included on her greatest hits album like WFTM and NBBMH get more views on YouTube daily than LCMM. Yet even deep cuts like Halfway to Heaven and I Love You Goodbye get better amount of views on YouTube daily.

Also, i find it strange that it was included on the North American edition of All the Way yet songs like Where Does My Heart Beat Now and All By Myself were not. ABM and WDMHBN both peaked at #4 in the US and LCMM only peaked at #36. Maybe it because the song performed better than the two in Canada? Nobody knows except Sony :-D

Yeah she has other better uptempo songs she can perform in place of LCMM. We have Unison, I Feel Too Much, ETMBD, Just A Little Bit Of Love, Right In Front Of You and so much more.

I still love the recording of LCMM, and her early performances of the song are STELLAR. I hate the screech fest it has become over the years when she sings it live.

I think a lot of this is ballads being huge in Asia and them gravitating toward those songs. I Love You Goodbye is a huge Phillipines classic if im not mistaken. They probably love the other ballads on that album

The last VERY GOOD performance of LCMM to me was that Disney special TCOML concert dvd one. She even did the "you believe in me, i believe in you, we GOOOOOOOT to believe in each other baby" adlib she's only done like three times.

Also her randomly doing that adlib again for the 2003 AND premiere (amongst other LAST attempts) makes me think she was listening to LCMM studio version sometime in between the cbs special on 15th and actual premiere on the 25th.

Can even see my 5 year old comment time stamping the rare attempts lol

While her overall vocal state for Olympia cd was phenomenal, this is the first instance we see of her ending the verses in a dodgy kinda way, also absent of other adlibs. Olympia performance is closer to FIY versions of the song than it was TCOML concert dvd version.

Also gotta shout out the attempt here around the 00:55 mark

Though i’m not really into the song but gotta admit that her performances of the song during the Celine Dion - early The Colour eras are amazing especially because she actually attempted the high notes. I wish we could get a recording of her 1992/1993 concerts so that we can get another “proper” performance of the song!

Off topic but this is my favorite performance of each songs from this album:

1. Beauty and the Beast: I love the solo performance from 1992

2. If You Asked Me To: Definitely Arsenio Hall

3. Nothing Broken But My Heart: MuchMusic Awards / Montreal (tie)

4. Water From The Moon: Sonia Benezra, that recording from CD tour is also a great performance though she sounded rough in some parts but still an amazing performance!

5. Did You Give Enough Love: There are two recordings of this song performance, my favorite is the professionally recorded one.

6. Love Can Move Mountains: Arsenio Hall, Juno Awards comes close!

7. With This Tear: Well, we only have Tonight Show but it’s a spectacular performance, i can feel her emotions during the performance. Wish we could get another recording of the song performance

Yes, both I Love You and I Love You Goodbye were big hits in the Philippines.

Sony Music Philippines had a history of choosing her ballads over her uptempo to promote her albums. Aside from the aforementioned two, When I Need You was also released on radio to promote LTAL.

Instead of ANDHC or I'm Alive, Have You Ever Been In Love was used to promote ANDHC. And instead of IDAN, Stand By Your Side was serviced to radios for OH. And, Alone over Taking Chances.

I mostly agree. The only exception is I'd put both that Montreal 1992 and TCOML 1993 above Junos

Sorry, couldn’t seem to find a main topic for this album, but seems like Prince’s demo of With This Tear might be released Tuesday, per this article from the Minnesota Star Tribune (a legit newspaper): https://www.startribune.com/prince-celine-dion-walter-afanasieff-martika-bangles-jevetta-steele-peabo-bryson/601778292

Since I can’t fully read the article, I don’t know if it will be released to all streaming sites or just this official Prince Remembrance event happening that day:

Here's the article with no paywall:https://archive.is/20260419233530/https://www.startribune.com/prince-celine-dion-walter-afanasieff-martika-bangles-jevetta-steele-peabo-bryson/601778292

It doesn't answer where it's being released but it does seem that since it's his estate and Sony Music that it'll be a wide release.

Never knew it took the spot of an already recorded Calling You. They couldn't have had both on the album?! 😭

Right? Would have loved a recorded version of Calling You! The Prince demo was just released on streaming today too. Celine posted about it as well!

Did she perform it for her Live a Paris show? I only know the one at L’Olympia.

Yes, the song was part of the "D'Eux Tour", with a similar opening speech

Nice! I’ll have to find that performance too. Wish it was included on the LAP album.

I'd forgotten how awful those annoying blur and slow motion effects are!

Personally, I prefer the performance of Calling You from À L'Olympia, but there's certainly nothing wrong with the LAP version.  I'm more annoyed to discover that there's a 1992 studio version of Calling You just sitting in the vaults - that would have been an actually worthwhile inclusion on The Collector's Series.

To me the Olympia one is my favorite, too. But that whole album is magic.

Growing up I had the VHS of Live à Paris

When the DVD came out I always felt the audio was so low that you couldn't turn it up well to hear it.

Same. The VHS was way better. I miss watching this concert.

A transfer of this onto a DVD would no doubt be better than the DVD quality.  Laser discs were amazing in quality - some say better than DVD.     I believe this and TCOMLC were the only laser discs published.  Shame the technology didn't last until Live in Memphis.

unfortunately I paid 25 euros each back then for LAP and TCOML. And LAP sells around 5 - 10 euros nowadays.

Yeah that would have been really cool! I don't think the V-CD (video-CD) (LIM was released in Asia) comes anywhere near the quality of a laser disc.
