Why is Celine's figure looking so weird to me? So doll-ish. Or am I looking at it the wrong way?

It's the cut of the dress. Two different types of black fabric create a false cinched waist.

Gotta love the fact it was recently Prince’s birthday, and the “With This Tear” official audio is still blocked on YouTube in the U.S. Her team seriously needs to get s clue.

This interview is great. It's when she was recording the Celine Dion album, and it's full of interesting parts.

David Foster calls in during the interview... I had forgotten how little he had to do with her second album.

Also interesting to be reminded of how much Celine had already achieved by this point in her career.

What was the song she recorded for Cystic Fibrosis with David?

What a treat. She looks and sounds incredible. Love this arrangement- it gave them some room to experiment with their delivery. That run at 1:50 was sublime!

I love the runs she did here:

What do you mean?

What do you mean?

She was slated to do “Dreams to Dream” because Linda Ronstadt had turned it down. Once she heard Celine’s version and thought it would be a classic, she decided to record it and the movie chose Linda over Celine, as Linda had a more well known name. Celine was devastated. She didn’t choose to do BATB over the other song like she says here.

Then they went to Celine - and once Linda heard Celine’s version, she swooped back in and said they could use her original version after all?

The Linda R documentary is amazing by the way. So sad she can’t sing anymore.

I always thought Linda had turned down the song because she didn’t think it was special enough.

But I'm afraid it will forever be in the vault of everything Céline.

I read or watched an explanation of what happened somewhere… can’t remember where it was. Maybe it’s in the documentary? I’ll try to figure it out.

It is one of the big jewels in the vault. Would be amazing to hear it.

Bringing this topic back to life as I just saw a press article which mentions that Celine performed the song “If You Could See Me Now” live during a concert at L’agora Du Vieux Port in August 1992.

If only somebody had recorded that…

Not sure of how to insert images from my phone so here’s the article: https://www.facebook.com/share/p/Sfh8TFNuqwzfkgFN/?mibextid=WC7FNe

Would love to here that performance one day. We need a full bootleg of this tour so badly. Underrated album for sure. Each song just fits.
