Tyler1991 Posted July 17, 2011 at 06:58 PM Posted July 17, 2011 at 06:58 PM Oh please. I get SO SICK of people's "she's got so much on her plate with the twins" crap. Let's not forget all of the help that she has (and can afford). Think of all the mothers that have to go to work right after their pregnancy, they work. Women have had babies since the human race began, and I doubt that those early women talked about how hard it was to be a mom, perform at Caesars, and win awards. Recording an album takes hardly any time at all for her. They pick out the songs, then the instrumental parts are put together without her, and she goes in to record. If she hates it, she says no and they do things over. She's not some fragile woman that falls apart with stress. She could record as much as she wanted to (she has the time---she doesn't do THAT MANY concerts a year), she just doesn't want to. My rant is over. Well said. And especially for Celine who has less involvement in her own music than any other artist out there. Not to say she doesn't do anything, but as you alluded to, she is basically a puppet anyway. It's not just her working here....she has people do 90% of the work for her, then she lays her vocals down...She has so much more potential to be such a greater artist, and it has been seen very seldom!
Alex_Incognito Posted July 17, 2011 at 07:02 PM Posted July 17, 2011 at 07:02 PM Agreed. We know she can do more, but she simply doesn't. When she does an album of all of "her" songs, I will be thrilled. But I don't see that happening. "People pay 20-25 dollars to see you."- Céline Dion, 1990

But I don't see that happening. No, of course not. Once she starts writing, producing, and putting in 100% effort into an album, then we'll be talking about "time consuming" ...

Agree with you Alex Enought of the babies "issue", because they aren't any justification at all. I think some fans have lost sight of reality with the babies thing It's as if she was the only mother of 3 on Earth that has to work Come on.......... And about recording songs, apart from the gift she has to do that so EASILY and FAST, she could have her own recording studio in her own house (if she doesn't have one already in the new house). So again, don't put barriers where there aren't any, much less in a singer like Céline Dion who has recorded 1 album per year during over 30 years "Hush, now... I see a light in the sky"

Tyler1991 Posted July 17, 2011 at 09:04 PM Posted July 17, 2011 at 09:04 PM Yeah, let's start talking about the mother of three who has to work 2-3 jobs and over 40 hours a week just to barely get by.... The reality is that MANY people have it so much worse and would LOVE to trade places and not have to worry about having a dime in their pocket..

québecflower Posted July 17, 2011 at 10:10 PM Posted July 17, 2011 at 10:10 PM Celine will do the best SHE can do, singing with a great voice, passion, integrity, true to her beliefs...It doesn't mean that it will be perfect and it all of it will please us all but in the end i'm sure something good will come of it. To my knowledge, all of her albums had great songs, and others that are not so good. Sure, she doesn'nt record as much as before, but she was working like a horse, more than any other artist. I don,t think she is lazy now, it is just that some people love her so much that they want something new every year. Maybe she has to wait for the good songs sometimes. No other has so much great songs than her, except maybe Elvis and the Beatles. I sincerely believe that the next album will be more personal and very good. Plus qu'ailleurs , but now Si c'était à refaire , i still love tant de temps....

I Love You Posted July 18, 2011 at 12:02 AM Posted July 18, 2011 at 12:02 AM Indeed, I am just happy we are getting a new English album, and a French one, for that matter. We, should be happy we are getting TWO new albums.

spunkransum Posted July 18, 2011 at 02:13 AM Posted July 18, 2011 at 02:13 AM 100% true. Even if they really wanted TC as a first single, ok BUT the next singles should be as important as TC was (sang at events, good videoclips etc). Fade Away should have been the debut, it was up tempo, had the rough edge to it. I've never heard of the title track being the first single before. FA or This Time should have been the starting hits. Then Eyes On Me and finally Taking Chances, I think Alone was idiotic to promote as a single, I mean come on how many people have heard that song?
JanaCelinefan Posted July 18, 2011 at 04:49 AM Posted July 18, 2011 at 04:49 AM I'm am tired of people with all the complaining!!! Would people stop being so selfish.. Celine has a life and doesn't need to spend all her time fulfilling your wants.. All of her albums are great.. Celine is awesome!!!! Can't people just be happy and grateful. Celine's projets are always awesome..!! So why worry and complain about everything...
JanaCelinefan Posted July 18, 2011 at 04:59 AM Posted July 18, 2011 at 04:59 AM I do love your positivity and I know that everything Celine do is great; but Celine is not the argument here; it's her career that we are debating. Why do we need to debate her career if everything she does is awesome??? Doesn't that mean the rest of her career will be awesome??
RomualdlovesCeline Posted July 18, 2011 at 05:02 AM Posted July 18, 2011 at 05:02 AM Why do we need to debate her career if everything she does is awesome??? Doesn't that mean the rest of her career will be awesome?? No that means that YOU are awesome

I'm sixteen a good deal of my age group thinks Kesha, Lady Gaga, Lil Wayne are actually great musicians. I personally want to see a younger generation like myself actually enjoy music, and the only way that can happen if the songs are "pop" worthy, I'm not meaning she has to sing a song about sex, drugs, or alcohol but she just needs some catchy songs that grab an audience. Celine is a powerhouse and I know if she really wanted to she could quit and retire. I just want to see her on top of the world again, and maybe let some people realize that she is actually a good artist.

Celine is a powerhouse and I know if she really wanted to she could quit and retire. I just want to see her on top of the world again, and maybe let some people realize that she is actually a good artist. That's the biggest deal for me. I don't care if she's no 1 everywhere again, or that she sells millions of albums (again)... For me it's about Céline getting recognition and credit for the work she has done and still is doing. A lot of people and critici only look down on her for her schmaltz and cheesiness, but it would be great they also saw the hard work she has done and still is doing, the fact that her voice is still in top shape (especially compared to her peers!!) and that she does have good decent songs in her reportoire that should be acknowledged! On TV and in articles etc... it's always Madonna or Whitney or nowadays Rihanna or Lady Gaga... It would be awesome to see Céline mentioned every now and then! Oh and people said she talks a lot about her family in interviews, well excuse me it's also down to the interviewer!! If questions like 'Why did you work with this producer', 'Why did you choose these songs' or 'Where do you think your career is going'... Céline definatly aint gonna talk about it http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v75/daveyh84/incognito198701_zpsaaootxh1.jpgRick, ik hou van jou voor altijd!A New Day... has come 28/29 April & 2/3 May 07Antwerpen 13 et 14 mai,Paris 24 et 25 mai, Amsterdam 2 juinet Arras 7 juillet Chances Taken!!!How Do You Keep The Music Playing? - Celine Opening Night March 15th, March 16th
Tyler1991 Posted July 18, 2011 at 08:00 AM Posted July 18, 2011 at 08:00 AM I wouldn't push much of the blame onto the interviewer though....doesn't Rene give the interviewer strict guidelines on what can/can't be discussed? And we all know how much she hates to discuss her voice/music/career, etc....all of the good stuff is avoided.
Davey84 Posted July 18, 2011 at 08:07 AM Posted July 18, 2011 at 08:07 AM A good interview IMO knows what kind of questions they want to ask, no matter what 'guidelines' have been told. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v75/daveyh84/incognito198701_zpsaaootxh1.jpgRick, ik hou van jou voor altijd!A New Day... has come 28/29 April & 2/3 May 07Antwerpen 13 et 14 mai,Paris 24 et 25 mai, Amsterdam 2 juinet Arras 7 juillet Chances Taken!!!How Do You Keep The Music Playing? - Celine Opening Night March 15th, March 16th
Claudette Posted July 18, 2011 at 09:02 AM Posted July 18, 2011 at 09:02 AM (edited) That is so true. That is why the last few Oprah interviews annoyed the crap out of me. Céline went on and on about babies and puppies because Oprah went on about it. Don't get me wrong, I love it when Céline talks about her babies and her love for René because you can see on her face that that is what makes her happy. But it would be nice if once in a while they just talk about music. Like Davey says, talk about producers, ideas, writers and so on. I mean the last show was suppose to promote the new show. Did they mention once who directed the show? How they came up with the ideas? Anything about the orchestra (other than it consists of 31 members)? Oprah never asked anything about it. So if this new album comes out I hope that Céline would do more interviews about the actual album and sing songs from it and not old songs. Totally off topic, but I can't wait for Vic to upload that ''3 Talk'' interviews that I sent him. Those were well structured interviews with a great mix of questions. She actually talked about the ''Taking Chances'' album and her career. I think that our little Noeleen did a better job than Oprah did in the last few years. A little birdy told me Vic is working on them. So I'm sure if everybody is super nice to him he will upload it soon. duri Posted July 18, 2011 at 09:25 AM Posted July 18, 2011 at 09:25 AM One of interview during TC promo I like very much, was interview Céline did for ZDF before Wetten dass, Céline was very naturally during it and girl asked her good questions, so it´s also about interviewer how interview will be like, and about shows like Oprah, it would be great if Oprah asked her more about music, album and so, but most people who were watching Oprah show maybe was not Céline´s hard die fans, and these shows need to have huge audience so it was maybe more iteresting for them to listen about her family. http://www.supermusic.sk/obrazky/80543_Celine%209.jpg
