Interview with Anne T. Donahue with some Titanic love (it's short and no particular Celine content other than a MHWGO clip, but still).

Anne T. Donahue is the writer who gave us these fabulous articles: The Grown-#ss Pop Star's Guide to Not Giving a s***: Celine Dion Edition, and Céline Dion Is the Poster Child for Late Bloomers Everywhere

Here's hoping her participation as a regular on Q means they'll finally do a proper long-form interview with Celine (for the uninitiated, it's a culture show on CBC Radio; they do great interviews. If interested, here's a nice one from last week with Shania - http://www.cbc.ca/ra...years-1.4423046)

I love this so much!

Incredible they released all of the music. But it really sucks it's only a CD and import release... :(

CD release is more classy than mp3 download :-D

The color?

probably the color balace. The blue matches the water

That is easy to see..the normal color would fall away into that white brownish background and the blue color is the same as the color of the sea. It is something what graphic designers do: matching colors for a consistent image.

I'm actually quite surprised just how much press there is around the Titanic anniversary. I mean, there have been other massively successful movies since, but I guess this one still stands out in a major way.

Here's a nice article (albeit Celine-less) from one of my faves, Nate Silver's FiveThirdyEight -

Factually, there's only 1 movie that was more successfull than Titanic and it's Avatar. But adjusted with inflation, Titanic is still the most successfull movie since -at least- 30 years.

But the Avatar sountrack was a major flop. I simply don't remember the title of Leona Lewis song.

The tv show, The Orville is an hommage to Star Trek produced by Seth Macfarlane The episode starts off with karaoke night with the crew. I wasn't expecting to hear the beginning of MHWGO :) If anyone is a Tekkie fan, it's worth watching http://www.imdb.com/...ref_=tt_trv_trv

I've ended the year 2017 with watching "Titanic" on the big screen. It was a 90th + 20th birthday special.

And again you have the chance to see it on big screen. In many countries it started in 1998, so we celebrate the 20th anniversary now. :partyguy:

No Celine content per se, but here's a little article for fellow Nate Silver fans. (It's from roughly a year ago but don't think I posted it then; just popped up on my timeline again so here ya go.)

"It turns out that far more people had seen the film than I originally imagined. Eighty-five percent of respondents said they had seen “Titanic”; 15 percent said they had not. That’s an impressive figure. For perspective, only about half of America watches a given Super Bowl, tops. As far as I can tell, the rate of “Titanic” viewership sometime in the last two decades is roughly on par with computer or Bible ownership."

Um... OK... who's going to tell whatever intern runs the Canada Twitter account that the performer doesn't actually get an Oscar? :hmm:
