with the james bond medley ...... they should do the gun barrel sequence across the back video screen. Celine starts walking across the stage in a white spotlight. She abruptly turns to face the audience and then fires a gun. The white spot light turns into a red spotlight.

Today I found out im going to see Celine in Vegas!!! My 22nd birthday is today and my mom's 50th is this coming Wednesday.

My parents called me earlier today to wish me a Happy Birthday since i'm away at college. Then my dad planned to go on SKYPE that way we could see each other and he could give both my mom and I our birthday gifts. Little did I know my roommate was in on the little secret as well. Earlier last week my dad mailed my gift to my house, however instead of my name on the envelope he puts my roommates name on it that way I wouldn't open it. So when the time came he tells us both "You two may want to sit down for this." So then my dad gave my mother her envelope and then my roommate gave me my envelope and we both start to read it to ourselves. Within 10 seconds after seeing a ticket to Vegas and ticket to Celine's show we were both screaming and jumping!!!:clap: By far one of the best birthdays ever! Thank you Dad!

I can't wait to see this show!!!

I think that Celine is a bit old to sing that song :shifty: I don't dislike the song but it's not my favourite; I prefer Ziggy over it anytime.

 

Celine should sing today "Mon marie m'a quitte" THAT will make headlines :laugh:

ziggy would be the absolute best french song.

 

they're probably against it because its a gay related song and they dont want to offend the old people.

I don't understand why there are so many people complaining!? For me, Celine could walk out on stage and just sit there and I would be happy! I will be happy with whatever she sings because that is what she wants to sing. Celine is HAPPY with this new show and I think we should too. As long as Celine is happy so am I :D

Apparently Jay Leno makes an appearance....

 

@MSN_aLD I also don't want to reveal too much about the show for fans who plan to go.There are surprises in store such as a Jay Leno cameo.

The whole Jay Leno cameo thing sounds awesome. So it's safe to say that song WONT be getting the axe. What songs does everyone think will? They said they will be cutting songs out.

 

Honestly, I wouldn't mind them cutting All By Myself out. I wouldn't be surprised if it ends up being CLWY,CLWY because that would be two duets and they'd keep in the one that is more popular.

 

I love RDMH but it's had it's day as well. The revival for it was nice, but it could go. LCMM also.

 

Of course my first choices would be some of the covers, but I want to keep Open Arms.

I Hope they shorten both medleys by one song... cut one from BOND and cut one MJ song just not Man in the Mirror, also i say goodbye to RDMH... but LCMM would never be cut, and i agree i want Open Arms!

This song is a total dragged out snoozefest! I've only seen Celine once but everytime I see the AND dvd I skip this part...

Thats what im thinking, she wont adlib without dancers to talk too...saying things like "ay wait for me" or " i know you can sing you told me, you just dont want to"

Hi all,

 

So sorry it has taken me so long to get back to you with all of this. I gave myself a concussion on Friday night so I have been busy working two jobs with a very hurt head... Anyway, I havent read this entire thread but most of what I have read is accurate. On Sunday night, I worked front orchestra section 3 and 4. Almost all of front orch section 4 was reserved for VIPs such as Celine and Rene's family. It was really neat to get to see and talk to them all again. I even got to meet the French Fathers who baptized Eddy and Nelson. It is so great to see everyone back at the Colosseum. It truly feels like our extended family has come home.

 

As far as the show goes, it is very different from AND... The new show is very classy and elegant. As far as the songs this thread lists are mostly correct. She sings her classic ones (the same ones as always) and then does the James Bond medley. She then sings a few other classics and a few others from the LTAL album. She then does the Michael Jackson tribute and ends with her normal show enders. The only song that I saw that was incorrectly listed was "Mon ami m'a quitté". Instead of this song, she sang the French Classic "Ne me quitte pas". Wait until you all see what Jean Seb can do on the violin. WOW, he is awesome!

 

Sorry to be so cryptic, just don't want to ruin the surprises of the show for opening night. Opening night is supposed to have other "high tech" stuff that are not included in the dress rehearsals. I love the show already and can't wait to see what is going to be added. I have tickets to tomorrow night's show so I will be able to watch uninterrupted. Can't wait to see the parts I missed last night while working. I'll be working the other two nights too, so we shall see if anything changes. Can't wait to see all of you here, in Vegas, soon!

Remember, the orchestra can move on and off the stage, so they obviously won't be there for the entire show :thumbsup2:

Can you confirm that "Can't Live With You, Can't Live Without You" was performed?? OR was it the Mariah song "without you" ....

 

Did Barnev duet that song and BATB?

 

Were there any other songs we missed from the list that were performed?? Thanks.

I think her voice sounded wonderful! There were a few times that she was emotional and it had a tiny effect. She cried at the end of the 1st song... She sounded very on top of the game to me. I had watched an earlier practice (with the director and other such people ) where you could tell that she wasn't giving it all of her voice. She seems to be saving her voice for the actual performances.

 

No "TLYM" as of yet.
