no post 2000 songs:( I can't believe it!

and even if she adds, it may as well be only 1 from this period! what on earth has happened

RDMH was a great treat to have a blast during last year of AND, it was nice to include it on tour but enough, it should be cut.

I'm afraid that maybe there is no French song? All in all, too many covers and too many sleepy songs

 

I agree RDMH should be cut, it's been in 5 tours/shows now: TCOML tour, D'eux tour, FIY tour, AND, TCWT

 

Yeah I wondered about the French song too - hopefully it won't be PQTME again...

I Don't think there will be a french song. When AND opened she sang Et'Jet'aime Encore and then that was cut, but the show went on for a while without a french song and then PQTME was added...so theres a chance she may not do a french song.

I can't wait to hear so many of these songs with a full orchestra! ABM will be so so so extra intense!

I am really not excited with that setlist but we'll see, it can turn out to be more than expected if you add all the visual effects.

Personally, I can't imagine a woman singing Live And Let Die. It's not really suited to a vocal powerhouse like Celine...

Please remember not to talk about the new songs in the other parts of the forum, it's a bit unfair for those people avoiding this section completely if a spoiler just pops up in an unrelated topic in General Discussions and they had no chance to avoid it! Once the show is in full swing then no one will expect things to remain secret, but for the premiere let's do our best to keep things a surprise for all those fans from the forum who are attending and would rather not know everything in advance.

Why on Earth all these negative comments???????

 

I simply don't get it. I mean, hello?! We have only very little and scattered info, partially even with mistakes (as don't know about that song "Can't Live..." and it makes no sense to speculate about which song it is in fact, lol) We've seen like what, 2 crappy cellphone-made pics? And based on that we're talking about the stage, outfits, hair, effects, technical stuff?!!!

 

And, on top of it all, these are still REHEARSALS!!!! Maybe not too much will change when the "real" show kicks in but I bet there will be way more "fireworks", technical effects and maybe some other "bombs" we just can't know about than if it were the other way, there would be no point of a PREMIERE, right?

 

I'm deffinitely not taking everything for granted but judging after the stuff we now have is simply out of place, irrelevant and just bullsh*t. Period.

 

I will first start to get a real clue about this show after I attended the rehearsal on Thursday in person but even after that I won't be throwing things and calling names. I will still wait for the premiere and the show #2 to get a full picture.

 

I'm actually over the moon that I'll be seeing Celine 3 times in Vegas soooo soon and hear her magnificant voice in person again! :wub: Can't believe it's only 3 days until than, omg!!!

And all those covers? So what!? Like mentioned above, a lot of her "own" songs are actually covers, see "All By Myself", "The Power Of Love", "Falling Into You" etc. etc.

OK, I know where these comments come from, the songs I just mentioned are really associated with Celine whereas the covers we're suppose to hear in this new show are not. So than what?

 

I, for instance, I'm just overexcited to hear Celine sing some new material! I don't care these songs haven't been written just for her - they will still be fresh because, for her, they are new!

Who knows how will they all sound live in her randitions, how they'll build the atmosphere, how they'll showcase her voice...

 

I'm just excited and can't wait to hear it all!!!

As for the stage, the outfits, the hair... well, I couldn't have cared less but I bet all of these will be nice and heat as well and will compose into a once-in-a-lifetime show experience anyway!

Celine MUST perform a French song. It. Simply. Would. Not. Make. Sense. She has an orchestra. The show is about MUSIC! There is no reason to shut down her most amazing catalogue by not choosing at least ONE French song to sing.

Yeah, I really don't get all the negative Comments on hear. I love the song list, I love the fact that There is going to be a orchestra, and that it is going to be more intermittent.

 

People complaining about the song list, Celine doing Covers of different songs, not liking how the stage looks, about how there is going to be a orchestra. Do they even now, most of Celine's songs are covers.

ive decided on i wont judge this show until the premire and i read peoples reviews, because i hate when people start flipping out when they havent seen the show yet. I remember the same thing happend with AND... also some songs may be cut remember this was just a dress rehearsal.. She said singing "her earlier hits" Can't Live (If Living is without you)... couldn't that be Céline's song "No Living Without Loving You" from TCOML album? Dreaming right now if that's the song!!!!!

 

*Technically Mariah's song is titled "Without You" ... and that would be the second Mariah song covered by Céline (not so happy about Céline covering Mariah now! )

Now that would be just too good!

 

However it wont happen I'm afraid. She doesn't seem to like performing her English material which hasn't been overplayed and oversung.

 

 

People, I do get the disappointment about the number of covers. However, I rather see her sings covers than see her sing those tracks we're all bored to death to hear

(TPOL,BYLM and all that). It's like putting more ice cream on your plate even though you're trembling of sugar rush. Covers are a wind of fresh air compared to that. So, yes I welcome covers. If we can't have Céline songs rarely performed live to be in this show I prefer a whole bunch of covers before the set list of AND/LTAL tour/TC tour. :yes:

 

We've not been able to get a clear view of the "theme" for this show run... could it be following when the show is called "Celine" that she will only perform her own personal favorites? Songs that have inspired her throughout her life? (Yes songs from others) If so, I am very happy with that theme.

 

 

Now, all I hope is that the orchestra wont sound cheap.

 

 

The thing that bugs me though is that we don't seem to get ESNRQ backed up with an orchestra.
