say what you want.. didnt say you couldnt say what you wanted to say.. just saying that it's ANNOYING to be in a place with FANS and all you're complaining. maybe we should tell Celine to pack it up and go back to Florida and hide and never perform again because well her so called fans hate the picture we saw from the first rehearsal lol. All im saying is try and be postive about it..

 

Well, I remember Celine saying to René, God knows where... I guess it was after the run on Germany

"René is best to go out while still on top"

 

And I agree with her!

 

I don't want to see Celine getting dimmed and dimmed by the hour...

 

For me the a new day was a nice closing for her... was so top, so awesome...

and even the TC tour could have been an awesome rendez-vous...

 

I just don't want her end as a singer to be average, but powerful!!!

 

I'm gonna wait for more pics... but actually there aint much nothing else to say...

 

I just stick to it; I hope they don't mess with the track list, they keep it TC alike,

with the add of Declaration of love in it like people have saying and the MJ homage...

So excited about a lot of these songs! I think it will be a perfect fit for a Vegas show, this is what Vegas is all about.

What I find f****** amazing is that the only site for the new show (www.celineinvegas.com) hasn't updated anything since they launched the website (9 months ago?). Nor new pictures of the stage for the people to see how it looks, nor new photoshoot from Céline, nor a poor setlist for the concert.

 

They're even using the same photos of the colosseum and caesars palace of 2003!

 

Bravo the Céline's marketing team, they're making her comeback look the cheapest and disorganized ever seen for an artist like her

 

 

...

 

 

About the stage, come on how we can judge from a mobile phone capture? Wait until we have more photos of a real show!

 

But regarding the songs we know for the moment, I'm not excited at all. It's funny that some say that Céline can show with this show how big is her career and the high status she has in showbusiness, when she's barely singing anything from her own discography but others songs! I hope the rest of the setlist gives us some positive surprises about Céline's own music because for the time being to me it looks like a karaoke floor for an amateur singer who is trying to make herself some room in the industry .

Again, major overreaction. How do people come to such conclusions based on so little info? So much speculating based on so little fact. Calling a show cheap and average based on that picture. That's the closing of the show. Remember the closing of AND? What if we had seen a picture of that back in 2003? All the dancers leaving and the credits on the big screen? People would have had a heart attack!

 

Even the tracklist, all we know is she is singing a few MJ and Bond songs. There is more than half of the tracklist to be known. Calm down people.

 

And what bothered me the most about all of this was someone accusing Celine of know the show sucks and not even caring. Really? Seriously? If she didn't care, she wouldn't leave her glorious house in Florida. She would be at home with her babies and older son and husband. She doesn't need these shows or this money. She has a true passion for it. She does care and she wants to do it. Her voice beautiful these days, absolutely stunning. We are so lucky she is still singing, she could have left this all behind and become a stay at home mom like she loves so much. But she still has "it" in her and she does cares. She has been working so hard these days, preparing this show and caring for twin babies. Say all you want about her sure, it's your opinion. But accusing Celine of not caring is really disgusting.

I do believe Celine could sing every song she ever recorded, with flawless live vocals, amazing outfits, amazing lighting, amazing stage design, she could bring MJ, Elvis and Sinatra back from the dead to duet with her and still some people would find something to complain about. I couldn't resist posting after reading this MAJOR overreaction. Seriously, people? I do believe in free speech and people are free to complain whatever they want... However, I believe complaining based on a very low quality picture (major thanks to the fan who shared it thought!) is not very clever. One snapshot, one fraction of a second of the show and people have so much to complain based on it? I also wish we could all comment on this show based on facts, not distortions of Celine's red carpet interviews.

I, too, am disgusted to read "reviews" from people who haven't even seen the show. We know Celine and Rene are putting their all into this, and because of that I'm sure it will be great.

 

I, for one, am thrilled to hear NEW songs from Celine's voice.

The question is... does she really need to be recognised by nobody today that the quantity of covers she's using is increasing today? instead of the contrary, which would be the normal thing (to take advantage of her own great songs...)

The reviews are so laughable based on a couple of reviews. And this is not even the full show; it's a run through. Personally, I do not see what's wrong with the stage....I wasn't expecting anything else.....I will go to see her sing.

 

If you want a circus people, go to a Lady Gaga Concert. Celine is class act.

Celine Dion fans can thank Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones if her new show reaches new heights.

 

Jones came to Dion's show several years ago then "put that giant screen in Cowboys Stadium so we now have to up Jerry Jones," said John Meglen, president of entertainment giant AEG Live!, co-producers of Dion's upcoming show at Caesars Palace.

 

In interviews, Meglen and Rene Angelil, Dion's husband and manager, revealed how her new show, "Celine," was created.

 

There will be technology "that no one has seen before" said Meglen, and the focus of longtime Grammys director Ken Ehrlich will be about "really featuring Celine."

 

"We have to have things that no one has seen before. We have to raise the bar again," said Meglen. "And marrying the technology in a way that it supports the sophistication of the class of Celine and an orchestra, that's the challenge.

 

He added, "The challenge is things can get too technical, they can get too flashy. You don't want to rely on technology. You want to use the newest and the greatest technology but it always has to be in a position of enhancing Celine's performance."

 

So what does that mean as far as the Colosseum's giant LED screen?

 

"The video is getting bigger," he said. "We are adding to it, in different ways. We're adding more video."

 

With Franco Dragone, who brought Cirque du Soleil elements when he directed Dion's first show, "there was a balance between Celine and Franco Dragone," said Meglen. "What Ken Ehrlich brings to the table is really shining the star of Celine."

 

"And that's part of the reason why Ken Ehrlich is so important because no one knows Celine and Rene as well as Ken Ehrlich and he has directed about every special she has ever done," he continued. "She is close with him, not just professionally, but personally so he's really going to know how to bring that side of Celine out in many ways much more than Franco Dragone did."

 

As reported here several months ago, one of the bigger changes will be a full 31-piece orchestra that will probably grow by Dion's March 15 opening, Meglen said.

 

"We planned for that," he said. "We have the contingency for that. It needs to be what it needs to be at the end of the day. And you cannot let finances take away from that. You can't let that effect the creative process."

 

Angelil said the original plan was to bring her world tour show to Las Vegas for Dion's next run, but that would have meant many would have already seen it.

 

Halfway through the tour, "we decided to go with a whole new show," said Angelil, in a telephone interview Thursday from his Lake Las Vegas home.

 

A factor in that decision was the excitement created when Dion teamed up with a 31-piece orchestra for the 400th anniversary celebration of Quebec City in 2008.

 

Buzz reverberated for months after a massive crowd of 250,000 showed up for the event.

 

Celine was buzzed, too. "For an artist," said Angelil, "there's nothing better than working with an orchestra."

 

And Ehrlich directed three Celine specials for CBS "so we had a very close relationship."

Oh dear.... I don't know why I keep feeding this. But here it goes. When was the Vienna show? That's right, almost THREE YEARS AGO. Céline rested her voice during her break. Her latest performance at the Oscars was FLAWLESS. Major positive reviews all around.

 

Some people really love drama, don't them? First the stage, than the effects, now the voice. And the best... people haven't EVEN seen the damn show. This whole thing is laughable.

There is no doubt that the show will be outstanding, Celine will sound extraordinary etc but what some of us are trying to say is that it was supposed to highlight her career as well, it's called Celine even so why on earth there is only let's say half of the show with Celine's songs? She is such a big artist that doesn't need to sing covers to prove anything, she has her own various repertoire. If she continues this way, in 10 year's time people may only remember MHWGO or BYLM because they don't promote other songs of her.

And I wouldn't say that she would stay in Florida but I do believe that if the contract hadn't been signed before she was pregnant, she would resign for sure. But it was too late to say no...

I don't complain about stage nor costumes as we have seen almost nothing. All I regret is that the setlist is disappointing as far as Celine's discography is concerned (because I don't say that covers are dull song or sth, they are just covers)

She said singing "her earlier hits" Can't Live (If Living is without you)... couldn't that be Céline's song "No Living Without Loving You" from TCOML album? Dreaming right now if that's the song!!!!!

 

*Technically Mariah's song is titled "Without You" ... and that would be the second Mariah song covered by Céline (not so happy about Céline covering Mariah now! )
