Cheerfuljane Posted February 28, 2011 at 04:34 AM Posted February 28, 2011 at 04:34 AM That was just too beautiful.I hope someone can upload an mp3 version When she raised her left hand, I expected to see a huge ring, like usual, but nothing Quote
Dion1st Posted February 28, 2011 at 04:35 AM Posted February 28, 2011 at 04:35 AM She was asked to sing, which she did, and beautifully so. I am sure both Rene and Celine were very well aware of the fact that this was NOT about Celine, and that SHE was not supposed to be the main focus... Seriously people. No, this wasn't about Celine, however, she absolutely deserved the respect of a proper introduction as she walked on stage. Ignoring her entrance was irresponsible and totally rude. How did they practice this at rehearsals? " OK, Celine, just walk out on stage and start singing and when you finish just leave. " Its just wrong and insulting even if it was another singer. Toni Quote “The problem I have with haters is that they see my glory, but they don't know my story...” ― Maya Angelou ..."There's no such thing about getting old. Eventually, at one point, we get very EXPENSIVE, and we can call ourself, VINTAGE" ......Celine Dion "CERTIFIED FREAKING PROUD CELINE FAN"
Nmj Posted February 28, 2011 at 04:36 AM Posted February 28, 2011 at 04:36 AM her red carpet dress was much more better than her performance dress. but i cant believe she chose similar colors. Quote
idroveallnight Posted February 28, 2011 at 04:37 AM Posted February 28, 2011 at 04:37 AM Oh stop with the hogwash that this was a tribute. This is celinedionforum.com and we want to see Celine. No need to be snide. Quote
Cheerfuljane Posted February 28, 2011 at 04:37 AM Posted February 28, 2011 at 04:37 AM For all we know it may have been Celine's idea not to have an intro Quote
Javier_Natalio Posted February 28, 2011 at 04:37 AM Posted February 28, 2011 at 04:37 AM one was light gold and the other lilac.. light, but not exactly similar... Quote

Celinefan31 Posted February 28, 2011 at 04:42 AM Posted February 28, 2011 at 04:42 AM OH MY GOD... this is why i never post on this forum. Everyone (almost everyone) focuses so much on the negative all the time. Tonight Celine's performace was supposed to be a tribute to those who have passed away in the film industry this past year. I am sure that both her and Rene were well aware that her voice would be the backdrop of the montage. How about just focusing on the fact that Celine did what she did best..... she SANG the song beautifully!! Quote

Lawna Posted February 28, 2011 at 04:43 AM Posted February 28, 2011 at 04:43 AM Some of you guys need to realize it wasn't about Celine, she was simply there to honor those who had passed on. They thanked and applauded her after the entire segment was over. yes, exactly my thoughts Quote They go crazy for you because they know you're true. --Celine Dionhttp://i830.photobucket.com/albums/zz226/Congenialdiva/myspacelink.jpgFollow Me on Twitter!Visit Me on Facebook!
Belle Céline Posted February 28, 2011 at 04:44 AM Posted February 28, 2011 at 04:44 AM So there wasn't an intro, it's not the end of the world. Everyone knows who she is. Quote “There’s nothing I love more than the romance of a night in the theater.”http://i39.tinypic.com/ws0due.png
Koolan Posted February 28, 2011 at 04:45 AM Posted February 28, 2011 at 04:45 AM There was no intro in the rehearsals either and they showed those people full screen. The camera panned to the band for the first 14 seconds before Celine comes in. I think I see Celine more during the rehearsals though. On the live show, there were actually claps after the performance. My friend said they use clap effects on the rehearsals and live events. They might have mixed that on a different sound channel so you don't hear it unless you 5.1 sound. Quote Please support the forum by ordering through our Amazon.com referral link below. blueblazers90 Posted February 28, 2011 at 04:55 AM Posted February 28, 2011 at 04:55 AM Really people?! Celine could have declined and we could have just been content with the Oprah episode, but no, she did the Oscars! She even did the Red Carpet! Can't you be thankful for anything?! The section of the show that she was asked to participate in is about those who have passed on in the past year, not about the singer. Gosh! Give the woman a break! On a completely different note, it was very beautiful and I started bawling the moment she stepped on stage. GO CELINE!I really feel that there are little to no complaints about Celine...most are for the Oscar production team. Celine was amazing and i'm happy to see her again!!! Quote

I Love You Posted February 28, 2011 at 04:59 AM Posted February 28, 2011 at 04:59 AM Celine was amazing, and sounded flawless, singing Smile. I have to agree with some of you, about the intro part I mean it was about people who passed away. Quote
