However, if you purchase something on TC in your account it give you the option to use your free gift. You just have to "check"/tick the box. In the mail they send us the gift code and the 10& coupon codes with, there is a link to a special gift page for former TC members. You can choose a gift between two books and a few t-shirts, your code doesn't apply to all items in the boutique and you have to pay shipping for them anyway. So, if I wanted to get the For Keeps book as a gift for having been a paying TC member, I'd have to pay nearly 40$ on shipment!!! And a "mere" 16$ on shipment if I wanted one of the t-shirts! My vision is that the main gift for us they're spending money on right now is the free membership. So, I have some hopes they'll come up with TRUE gifts in the future, but these are just "low" hopes. Not so high. Now it's metaphors time: It's true tho that "A caballo regalado no le mires el diente"/"Beggars can't be choosers". I'm a beggar too here... it's a proverb u know. BUT those things which were presented to prior members as CD's/Dvd's, etc. , they're now just some sweets. (Their values have decreased) And it would've been upsetting to me "if I had been fooled on top of being a beggar" by them... Note: I wasn't a paying member. They're still open for BUSINESS at the boutique, so gifting something they already have and that may not be selling that well to begin with is not such a loss... but paying to have it shipped would be an actual loss.
