I think the site is ok overall, but i also think it's kinda weird how there is TC members only goodies when it's free to the public, so whats the point in having members only things when anyone can just sign up for free. I'm really confused on that. I just think the new TC thing is kinda strange.

 

 

For simple admirers to become TC members, apart from the fans; so they'll be atracted to the boutique and go shopping. Money. Money. Money.

The site is not perfect but it is still nice! Many of us expected to much i think. You know....a poll like this would be great:

I actually like the new look, it's more professional then the old site... However, the forum is a big mess from a technical point of view... There are lots of good systems available yet they had to implement something that is just horrible to work with... HTML tags for making up your text? Com'on, we're living in 2010 not 1995...

 

But hey, if you dare to say it some say that the remarks are sh*t. Especially if you dare to say something about TC and not supporting a meeting.

sorry to say this- but .. more professional.. than tell me what looks so professional to you? Someone with some experience in frontpage or dreamweaver could have done this? this is not something you would expect from a websitedesigner that has to design for a megastar like Celine! The first design looked way way better because of the flashstuff, the fonts, the colorscheme. That really looked professional and it was really chique

and about this new site..now I know what bothers me the most; when you see the site for the first time and you scroll down at - what's going on, you only see the blog-like font and text. It looks to me like I just searched on Celine dion on google and that I get the results of my search action presented, that's how this graphically looks. unattractive is an understatement here

 

What about us all who are good in Photoshop making a graphic design frontpage including the - what's going on - etcetera to show what we are capable of? I mean, last time with the horrible dvd-cover sony created, we came up with so many nice designs!

I think the site is ok, my expectations were low to begin with. I like some things, dislike others.

 

It's not very user friendly. Are we supposed to be able to upload photos aside from our avatar? There's a box on your profile that says, "Latest Photos by ashleylovesceline. No photos posted.", but there's no option to upload photos. Am I missing something?

Yay, I'm glad I'm not the only one! Haha, I'm still undecided as to which one I prefer over the other, it's kind of a toss up.

i like the vibrant colours, and photos/videos of the homepage but yeah its a bit of a pain navigation wise, and i expected alot more new stuff, especially on tc, but i suppose its still early days...

I don't expect much more, especially since TC is for free now. They can't get money out of it anymore so why should they care much?

I like the photo uploading and commenting features. I haven't tried out the blog. It seems you can personalize it much more, which is nice. Although it is hard to see when you have a new message, as you have to actually go to the messaging system a few clicks inward and look before you know, unless you have checked your email, which I oftentimes do not do first haha. The forum looks a big mess. It's very hard to read and looks unorganized, but hopefully they can work on that as more posts come in. I have mixed feelings, but I am enjoying playing around with it right now.

 

I think the style of the old page was more "Céline."

I'm not impressed by the new site. I think the layout looks a bit boring and kinda cheap. And the contents... nothing special really. I created an account on TC but I don't think I'll be spending very much time on the site. I prefer this forum and this is where I'll stay.

I thought that the colour-legend in the "what's going on" section responded to some meaning, but hahaha I couldn't be more wrong

 

I thought that orange colour was used for news directly related to Céline, since there are 3 of them in page 1 with that colour, but when I turned to page 2 the usual mess is there again (orange is used for boutique news and "on this day" news too -which also uses red- ).

 

So no, colours don't mean anything at all! Too nice to be true!
