Brand new official site!

I haven't gotten to look at much on the new site since I'm on my iPod but it looks better than before and I signed up for team Celine my username is Shine The Light

hmmm i still can't log in with the password they sent me thru email as a former TC member- anyone else having this issue?

 

Nvm- just got it to work- click a bunch of times and it went through

 

awww all the old forum topics and threads are gone!

 

I am a former TeamCeline member also and I have not been able to log in using my former username and password. Have you been able to yet? Help!

Have you been able to log in using your prior user name and password? I have not!

PRIOR TC MEMBERS:

They will send you an email with a new password. Your old password will not work

En plus, don't stress about it, it's not worth it.

 

And the free gift is for EXISTING TC members before they migrated. They give you a choice of a few things.

OK some remarks:

 

1. Forumsoftware

 

The "forum" isn't running anymore on general available and php based forumsoftware, this makes easy tags like etc, etc, completely unusefull. Since the forum is HTML based you'll have to know the HTML tags instead which are a bit more complicated then php tags.

 

2. Extra section

 

The extra section has some wallpapers to download. I'm not sure in which decenium they live but resolutions of 800 pixels by 600 pixels and 1.024 pixels by 768 pixels aren't resolutions anymore that are current today. Resolutions of 1920 pixels (full HD) and more are getting more and more common those days. Small mistake but maybe easy to fix?

 

3. Avatar size

 

The size of the "avatars" (your picture) are way to big compared to the rest of the site/forum

 

4. Photo size

 

There are some photo's uploaded by TeamCeline which were made by Céline's photographer Gerard. While being nice pictures the resolution used for these pictures is rather useless. 529 pixels wide, Come on folks, it's nearly 2011 today not 1995 with the introduction of Windows 95

 

5. Video's

 

Holiday greetings from 2009 and 2007 are nice but aren't we 2010 today and isn't 2011 standing in front of the door?

Also, do something about the resolution of the video's, we're living in 2010 remember?

 

6. Speed

 

The whole site seems to be running slower then the old site. I have a 100 megabit line and yet the site is loading slow...

 

7. Ipad compatibility

 

The whole site isn't compatible with the iPad, the video's and the audio aren't working.

What's a charter member in Team Celine? (Is that for those of you who were existing TC members?)

 

They kept the titles Whats Going On & The Journey So Far, could have changed those. All in all, not all that exciting, but at least its all free now.

 

Like the music section, good that they are showing the newer duets, but yeah some rarer stuff would be nice too. But I guess it's by making suggestions like that where we'll see just how much they will listen to us.

its a little bit more interactive, quicker to get where you want.

 

Some videos have extremeily poor quality, why bother putting the videos on the website?

I don't like it at all. The old website was much more professional. Everything was organized and displayed neatly. The design of the new website is just tacky and the color scheme is pretty bad and everything seems jumbled together. And these graphics are definitely not the best.

 

The old flash site was far superior. I'd even go as far as to say that it was one of the best artist site, if not the best. It felt original and had 'Celine' all over it. This new site is just another generic artist site. This is a giant leap backwards for me. How disappointing.

I think the site is ok overall, but i also think it's kinda weird how there is TC members only goodies when it's free to the public, so whats the point in having members only things when anyone can just sign up for free. I'm really confused on that. I just think the new TC thing is kinda strange. I also don't like that there are not any TC calenders anymore cuz i was really looking foward to be able to view them again, since my membership ended a few years ago.

 

I do like that everyone can now view the annual Celine Dion christmas messages and that we can write comments on things and have a pic of ourselfs for people to see. I think the site is better in some ways, but i still don't know if i like it all that much. I don't think any Celine site can even begin to compare to this forum. The Celine Dion forum is amazing and Celine's team should really team up with this site, cuz they don't know what there missing.

I must say I'm a bit disappointed. I find the site heavy, buggy and, well, not pretty. I also wanted to use my gift certificate on the Celine autour du monde book but, hey, they don't have it anymore.
