Just one hit and the album went 6 X Platinum. Imagine if there was another top 10 hit. I am thinking a love anthem like 'Love Doesn't Ask Why' was their best option. It has some really healthy streams despite never been released/performed. “Misled” being a number 1 dance hit I’m sure helped with some traction as well. 1 Quote https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PL54qnRGM2gMatthew Charles - "Fix You" - Live at The Stonewall InnStonewall Sensation - Season 15Originally written and performed by Coldplay

Do we have definitive proof of that tho? I just find it extremely hard to believe she would start with the same song for 50+ shows and swap the order of the first and second songs on one random date just because lol. I think it's easier to believe it was a typo made by whoever reviewed the concert Quote

I think it's easier to believe it was a typo made by whoever reviewed the concert I’m a friend of a Celine fan under the name Celine Dion Performances. They gathered lots of newspapers page that reviews Celine’s concerts. There’s a newspaper published by Toronto Star in August 1992 that said that Celine started the set with WDMHBN and i think a newspaper review is something we can’t deny as the reviewer was actually attended the concert and we can’t prove if they’re wrong unless we have a recording and there’s no way they would make a typo unless a minor typo of a song name (such as the one review of Celine’s March 1993 Massey Hall that wrote “Nothing Broken But My Heart” as “Nothing Is Broken But My Heart”) Also two newspapers that reviewed the Boston show and NYC show of TCOML tour stated that WDMHBN indeed performed as an opening set, that makes two valid sources. Celine had a habit of randomly modifying the setlist back in the 90s by adding and removing songs for a certain show, or even swapped the order just like the cases we mentioned. Also the VMAs performance is not real and I reported it to setlist fm last night. Quote

LukeD Posted February 16, 2026 at 09:04 PM Posted February 16, 2026 at 09:04 PM My favourite tracks of this album are some of the deep-cuts, like 'I Remember LA', 'Love Doesn't Ask Why', 'The Colour of My Love', 'Refuse To Dance'. I like all the singles too, especially 'Only One Road' and 'Just Walk Away'. Such gems in her catalogue! The only songs I dislike are 'Real Emotion', 'No Living Without Loving You', and maybe 'Loving Proof'. They are also the least streamed. I think the album would be a lot stronger without Diane Warren's contributions. Unpopular opinion, but I also find 'Next Plane Out' to be the weakest ballad of the album. Not a bad song, but definitely not great either. To me, the exact opposite applies to 'Celine Dion'. This album was carried by Diane Warren's songs, no coincidence 4 out of 5 were released as singles. 2 Quote
PuraVida Posted February 16, 2026 at 10:35 PM Posted February 16, 2026 at 10:35 PM I listened to this album a lot in January... "I Remember LA" can make you feel really sad and wistful if you listen to it, I wish we had a live performance of that song. I wonder if the songwriter of "Refuse to Dance" every discussed the origins of the song. Also "No Living Without Loving You" will randomly pop up in my head haha, so catchy -- but I agree about "Loving Proof" and "Real Emotion" being forgettable. 2 Quote

Her adding Ziggy, Elle, the Starmania medley from the Incognito tour (???), LFDS, QONQL and Oxygène for those 3 shows only, while cutting CNQR (a French song she was already doing) and most TCOML songs seems so odd to me. Especially the fact that it seems she went back to the old formula after Paris. 1 Quote

It only became a success in 1993 when she released 'Ziggy' as a single which became a smash hit and really carried the album in France. Therefore, when Celine visited the country to promote TCOML she also promoted DMQS. This was her best chance to hit two birds with one stone. 'Ziggy' had to be performed and also several songs from Starmania which were already included in DMQS. Really epic concert and the accompanying live album was a big success - it warmed francophone audiences for what would follow the next year with 'D'eux'. 1 Quote

I am under the impression that only TPOL was released as a single in France from TCOML. No other song from this album charted there and the album just sold 300k. By contrast, DMQS sold 1m copies in France, so it makes sense to me she would promote this album more. But yes, 'Elle' was a random addition, albeit beautiful. Wish we had footage from this tour too - it is without a doubt her best vocal live album. Quote

Also, LFDS wasn’t originally included when she performed the first show at Olympia. She included the song because the audience wanted her to as she was about to leave the stage, hence the song was performed as the final song for the first night at the Olympia. By the second show, it was moved to the middle part of the setlist. Quote

After she sang “Quand on n’a que l’amour” and about to leave the stage, the audience chanted the song’s title. Hence, she returned to the stage and sang the song. I don’t know if she sang it in full or just partly considering that she and the band might not rehearse the song before but if she sang it in full then it’s cool that she and her band managed to pull it without rehearsing the song. I learned this story from a discussion forum years ago and it was written by someone who was there. Edited February 17, 2026 at 12:58 PM by Unison Addict Quote
