It´s a good news I think november date for french album is very possible, if they want realized also english album. So as many people here think, french CD will be in november 2010 and english in march 2011. I hope it will be good album and also hope she will be singing song from album sometimes in future live.

I really hope it's true. It would be nice since it's been a really long time since she's released a french album. When do you guys think we'll get some sort of confirmation? I know it depends on the twins and her pregnancy and all but still.

None of this makes sense to me.

 

She should plan to release any album this year. She should not do the Vegas show early next year. She should simply be planning these projects and focusing on her family right now.

 

I don't understand the rush. I want quality work. Not rush jobs.

 

I would be perfectly content with an Oprah interview this fall discussing the twins. And that's plenty. All of this other stuff should be postponed.

She is working on this album for over 2 years, i don't see any rush. We are not living with Celine, we don't know what is she doing every day and night.. We had articles saying that Jean-Pierre Ferland wrote her songs a while ago, so this album is planned for a while. Choosing the right songs is the longest part but recording it takes about 2 weeks..

If they include the songs that were recorded 2 years ago, it would be a disaster. Her voice was not in a good shape back then.

I don't believe it. It seems much too soon. I'm sure they would have let the news slip a few months back, just so fans would get ready for a release.

 

Promotion...I fear that Celine's promotion for her francophone albums are dead. They seem to sell themselves without any promotion (people that actually appreciate GOOD music).

 

I get tired of people saying she should focus on having a family, I think she does just fine with that. Look at how she managed it during her last world tour----perfectly. Rene Charles wasn't even ready for it to finish! I think Vegas is the perfect thing for her while she's raising her twins at the beginning. She can still do what she loves, and she can still have a home. I think her and Rene can handle the situation.

 

Most of us aren't saying she should JUST focus on family. But she's a 40+ woman giving birth to twins! Why would we want her to release two albums, rehearse for another giant show, and then immediately start performing the show after giving birth??

 

I agree that she and Rene can handle all of it -- but it's a question of what is going to get less attention. And her albums and the Vegas show certainly won't be atop her list.

 

I am simply someone who is willing to wait a bit longer so she can really focus and do these projects as best she can.

Me too, hope it's true. I think November is a little bit early though. You're right that it depends on the pregnancy but I hope we'll get a confirmation sometimes the following months. I mean, if they record the album next monts which should be September and they release it 2 months after it's so shortly after that it doesn't really makes sense to me. There has to be time for the promotion. Wait...did I say promotion...?

 

Anyway, I can't wait for the French album! It's been 3 years since D'elles!

Sorry guys, we just got confirmation (from Céline's camp) that the French album won't be released in November, but in 2011....around Spring

Seems we have to wait a bit longer....

 

Won't be surprised if the English album will be released Feb-March and the French in May (she has the month off, so enough time to promote)!

Thanks for the information. But if the French album will only be released around May, then my guess is that the English one will be realeased by the end of next year. The problem is not recording in the studio, that can take less than a week for Céline to do a whole new album. The problem is that she's engaged with Caesars Palace again. That's what will take all the time for other projects and things, including to be a mother and be with her family

I don't understand this latest news at all.

November seemed a much better time to me. I can't see much promotion for the album anyway, but if its released in the Spring this is very early into the new show. Promotion will be very poor indeed. And to have both studio albums released within the space of less than 4 months, it's all a bit too much at once. Also now she misses the Christmas market alltogether.

 

Obviously I can understand that it gives her more time at home as a new mum, but commercially I am surprised.

It´s surprise news, because they want also realized english album, which IMO means it will be realized before new show started, so november for french album would be better, but if there is a little chance for some better promo of french album in spring 2011 I would rather wait until that time for french album, but I can´t imagine two albums realized in very close time, but who knows maybe they decided as they did with SSDA and These are the special times.

yeah thats true, even didnt think about that.

but i wonder if we'll even get an english one before her french disc, and if so i think that there isnt much time between both discs.

i'm not suprised if 1 disc will get postponed again and again

I'm with Ronny on this. And if the English album is gonna come out in February/March like you guys reckon, then it just does not make sense to me. I mean, why doesn't she record the English album now then?

 

Edit: I'm sticking with what I said from the beginning. The English album is gonna come out at the end of next year... Celine's last studio album was English, so I think they'll go with a new French album first...

You are wrong about that, Ren. She is gonna change the diapers, go pick her tomatoes, sing the entire Miracle cd to the twins, dance around fire trying to ward off evil spirits and what not

 

Anyway, I'd rather have her release it in November with a strong single, then in May, when she'll have the time, go promote it in France with a second/third summer uptempo single.
