Yay! This is great news. Hopefully Celine will have a #1 French hit again!!

the first singles of her French albums don't do bad in France, but it's the ones after them (if there are any....) that get no where on the charts, cos of Sony's Brilliant release policy....

It's hard to believe that it was a 1# hit in France, the country where everybody is making fun of her saying that she don't sell anymore

well that shows opposite.... Céline is still a decent seller in France, but she and her team killed her French carreer with little promo of her new french stuff and zero concerts before 2008 cos of Vegas and of course the bad song choices during the TCWT

 

 

I wonder if we'll get Eddy Marnay's "Paris" also on this next French album... I HOPE SO!!

I absolutly agree with all what you wrote, Céline is still no bad seller in France. For example France is only country where TCWT is in TOP10 of album chart. If they will do better promo and maybe also few shows in Paris (what is my big dream, concert with many french songs) I hope it could be more better, but sometimes it seems like they are not interseted in french market so much.

OMG. Luc Plamondon is amazing! I can't wieght for Celine's French album, If this song is anything like Je danse - dans ma tete then it's sure to be a huge hit.

 

I hope JJ Goldman will right some songs for Celine to. He is a brilliant song writer and he hasn't worked with her since 1 fille & 4 types, which is seven years ago now.

 

I hope to hear some news about her new English album soon. I'm really crossing my fingers and wishing she would work with David Foster and Diane warren agian, Maybe she could also work with Lady gaga, Timberland, Leona Lewis, or Pink. That would be awesome!

The new French album is gonna be awesome, Luc Plamodon!!! We speak about the creator of many hits such as L'amour existe encore and Ziggy (Un garçon pas comme les autres). And I also heard that René and Celine are gonna ask Jean-Jacques Goldman if he can write some songs for the album as well. THE 2 GREATEST COMPOSERS (I think that's the name of their job ) FOR CELINE IN FRENCH FINALLY TOGETHER!!!!

i dont think this is the way to go for her. Shes been there, done that, i can understand one or 2 songs max from Luc but no more. lets have some young producers of Vanessa Paradis catelog or Wife of French president. and as for JJ goldman working with her yet again., hes always there, can we have someone else for a change,. some fresh young blood perhaps.

When MC released I wanna know what love is, It was played everywere and that song has really nothing extraordinary! Celine's song are never played like that and they are better but for some reason, it's a Shame to listen to Celine.

Sometimes they even make fun of her on radios, once they were making fun of the quebecers and one said with the accent that he wanted to hear a Celine Dion song, the other guy said "we don't play Celine's song sorry, we have better..." and this is not the worst I heard...

this gives me a warm fuzzy feeling inside lol 'Dion chante Plamondon' is one of my all time favourite albums and I adore Luc.'

 

Another amazing album just for us awaits................as for charts, figures and all the rest. That in my opinion can all go to hell, sure it's impressive and everything, but come on, does Céline really have to worry about that any more? Or for that matter prove herself any more?

 

She is already the highest selling artist in France (BY A LONG SHOT) and does 'THE BIGGEST SELLING FEMALE ARTIST OF ALL TIME' not mean anything? .................come on, let's just be happy that it's happening, I mean she could very easily just put her feet up for ten years and say to hell with it all like many of the great female artists.

 

I think we are lucky to find in an icon, someone that wants to keep impressing her FANS, not necessarily the world, but her fans, and thats the most important thing. At the end of the day if every member of this forum buys a copy of any new Céline release it will do well!!!

I just really hope Celine has some awesome music videos for her singles on her next album. I love her music videos, like Immortality and It's All Coming Back To Me Now. I loved the way she looked in those videos, the way she dressed and how creative they were.

 

I wish she would have done a better music video for Eyes On Me. The songs was so cool, One of my favorites in a long time. Celine could have made a really cool video with that song, but she chose to do footage from the tour with live vocals.

 

It would have been much better if she whent with that idea that was floating around, saying she was going to have a bull fighter in the video. It's to bad she never did that. I pictured her taking belly dancing lessons and doing a Shakira styled video. Now that would have been really cool!

Lol she released 2 french discs before her tour. But had only 1 song from it in the show!

But it's stupid enough to know that they planned some more new french songs as you can see in the tourbook. But they never ever even try them out. :-(

When he passed away, René told the press that Eddie wrote 'Paris' for Céline and that she'll record it for her next album, but of course that didn't happen, not even on ONCP
