Its better that she releases an album in the final quarter - its when sales are at their highest. If she wants a #1 album in the USA, she's best to release it during July/August, as thats when the charts are quietest. If she wants big sales, she's best to release it during October/November (the final quarter). Simple.

Somehow IU have the feeling that the songs for both albums, English and French one, are ready, but she's realising the French first and the English sometime into the show. Somehow this strategy remindes me of Patricia Kaas and Kabaret. Patricia recorded her album and went pn the Kabaret tour and the album was released three or four months into the tour. This kinda of made the show program a suprise for the audience.

As many of you have said if this means that they changed their minds about that project and that its better to release a whole new english album not related at all with the Vegas shows, yahoooo!! So glad they realized the stupidity of it!

 

I vote too for an october/november release in 2011. She will have time to prepare her comeback as it deserves, hopefully with a glorious album like ANDHC

Yes this is a given, bút.... if Céline were to have another #1 album, releasing an album during a "low-sales" period is the way to go. Also, Céline has always been a strong seller at Christmas, so they could do another push around the holiday season and the album will endure longtivity.

I prefer new english album with all new marerial so If they decided cancel english album with movie songs I think it´s good, and maybe in november 2011 they can realized regular new english album. And also it´s better when there will be longer time between french and english album. But on the other side begining a new show in Vegas whithout any english cd?

The airplay in germany begun at the end of september/begin of october. So for the first single it isnt a big problem,... But i also prefer to have it before november

Also it may mean that they won't release a new English album at all, just a live cd from the show for promotion in autumn:( but i do hope like you for the better that they want to comeback with a good not themed material

According to a source in California, Céline has presented her team more french songs of her own authorship, besides "Entre Deux Mondes". So apparently that's not the only song she has written during this time. Some of these songs will be offered to other singers and some others will be kept for her own upcoming french album!

How did it do as a single? Was it even released as one? Also, how did Dupre's album do on the charts?
