In July 2005 CelineDion.com posted all of a sudden 'Je Ne Vous Oublie Pas'. We didn't even know a 'best of' was about to be released, nor the title of the single before they posted the song.

 

Yeah that was a huge suprise then! Didn't they posted the video then? Or just the song? That time they kept it a secret.

 

I so wonder what will be the first single! Ballad, uptempo etc

I'm curious how many songs Plamandon wrote eventually...

She was booed cos age wasnt there live in person, but just a satelite connection to Vegas. But hey IMO that was betterthan nothing

No, it wasn't. She deserved the boos IMO. If she couldn't be there, she could have just sent a message like many others who weren't there. And not send an embarrassing high-pitched banshee speak-sing-some-random-words-speak performance of LCMM. Her scripted words would have been much better than that performance.

 

Oh well, let's get back to topic.

 

I hope the new single at least has the power and the musical tenacity of ESNRQ, which, IMO is one of her best first singles from any album. The video was really well-made as well.

I didnt realise Celine was ever booed in her life? what the hell? I can understand the likes of people like Ashley Simpson being booed, but when it comes to Celine? wtf. she doesnt deserve to be booed. she cant be everywhere. so rude!! did she know they booed her and was it bad. or was it just a few people in audience? Any video of this?

i think it was because of that. the single was released after that event which i think was done to compensate on what happened on the live8.

Loved that video! But then again it was the same with TC, first single an video amazing and then after that it only get worse!

U remember what ESNRQ did on the charts back then?!?

I cant remember her singing that one on tv shows etc.

It spent 33 weeks on the chart, becoming one of her longest-running singles. Dion's last song which stayed that long on the chart was "Pour que tu m'aimes encore" with 34 weeks.

In other countries, "Et s'il n'en restait qu'une (je serais celle-là)" peaked at number 2 in Quebec, number 4 in Belgium Wallonia and number 34 in Switzerland.

oh well.. i have to say that speech of her comes over quite cheesy..missed chance doing that song too I have to say.

She should have been live on stage and the festival public is more of a different kind of music I think, that's why too

and yes..chipmunk sounds,, not everyone appreciates that.. and the hair and outfit was not really flattering either.
