oh well, what can i say. sony philippines is so silent on the release of tcwt. until now, the only thing that was released here was tteotw. and they're not mentioning of tour dvd...hmmppp....damnnn sony.

I finally got my French concert in the mail today. :kicking: I have to say that it is waaaaaaaaay better than the English DVD. I absolutely love ''Destin'', ''S'il Suffisait D'aimer'' and ''Et s'il n'en restait qu'une (je serais celle-là)''. :in_love:

 

''Pour Que Tu M'aimes Encore'' is light years better than on the Boston DVD and the part before ''My Love'' way cuter. :giggle: Her smile is so adorable... :wub:

 

It would have been perfect if they included ''Je Sais Pas'' from the 15th or 16th of August.

Well I think it was a bad idea filming the first nights of the US leg. But ideally they should have filmed London and Paris, her voice was far better earlier in the tour. :yes:

 

 

Also, did anyone notice how part of the stage was broken? The screen on the steps by the keyboards wasn't working during some parts of the DVD...

Oh yeah, totally should have filmed things way earlier in the tour. I almost even wish for most of the songs they had waited for later parts, but that would have delayed our DVD release even more! :nono:

 

She wasn't so hot in the middle, haha. :whistling:

 

Still happy with finally having these, though!

I have to agree that it would have been better if they filmed the shows during the European leg, but she still sounded good in my opinion (considering she was tired and stuff by then). I listened to ''I'm Alive'' from the Vegas show during the week and I have to say that Celine's voice definitely improved from Vegas. At first I didn't like 'I'm Alive'' from the TC DVD, but I like it more now after I've listed to the Vegas DVD again... :blink:

 

Even though the version of ''L'amour Existe Encore'' on this DVD is not her best vocal performance of that song (I mean she has had some amaaaazing performances of that song in the past), this version sends chills down my spine. Don't know why... :in_love:

It's a shame the round stage wasn't used properly when she was in Japan, cos her voice was absolutely amazing then. If they had done all the proper choreography (instead of Celine standing still during IDAN :giggle: ), then it would be an amazing concert to have on DVD! Edited by Timster

Yeah I always found that "I'm alive" was boring on that DVD :shrug: even if it looks great on an HD TV! :w00t:

I also like the French DVD very much, and think it's way better than the English one. I also have to agree that it's too bad they didn't include another rendition of "Je sais pas", the one where she did that amazing ad-libbing after each stanza. It was so gorgeous and at least we have those versions recorded on bootlegs.

Yeah, I'm not caught by this performance yet. Too nasal, compared with other songs like Destin or Dans un autre monde :ermm: I can't help to listen Live À Paris, Olympia or even the 2001 Quebec telethon versions and its like day and night between them :confused:

 

Of course, she did a completely different interpretation of the song that night, but I prefer zillion times the strongest performances of Paris and Olympia concerts ^_^

Except the moment when she moves back to the audience her cucu from one side to the other :laugh: , I find the Vegas concert totally boring now :P :whistling: No blames to her however, she had to be so bored those days in fact :whistling:

I think different members of this forum obviously have different opinions on what ''nasal'' means, because Celine rarely sings her French songs ''nasally'' (well in my opinion in any case), but if there is one French song that sometimes annoys the crap out of me it is ''Dans Un Autre Monde''.

Not a fan of that dude. That guy scares the crap out of me and he does not sing, he roars. :fear: If Celine sang it alone it would have been perfect. I love her vocals at the end. That was different and gorgeous. :in_love: ''Sur Les Plaines'' will always be one of my favourites. I love that DVD because it contains no gimmicks and stuff; it is live and filmed over one night. It is ''sing'' and just that...

Finally got to watch the French DVD and I have to say AMAZING! Celine was so into it in Montreal. Everything else that I want to say has already been said. Amazing performances. Ahhh. Someday I'll go to a french concert. Edited by remykyes
