That's not true. She did the whole IDAN intro in french concerts, including the accapella part. At least she did in Belgium.

yes but from what I've Heard, not I Montréal that night maybe that's why they decided to not include that part!

I'm still waiting on my La Tournee Mondaile Taking Chances Le Spectacle dvd! I ordered it from Amazon and they sent me the English verison which i already had and they sent me an email saying that they don't have the French verison now!!?

I wa sjust wondering, did Celine sing The Power Of Love at Montreal as it is no tincluded in the DVD. I know she sand it in Nice and Paris.

 

Also, what about Ziggy? Was it performed in French Canada at all?

She did sing "The Power of Love" in Montreal but they cut it from the franco dvd.

 

Ziggy was only performed in Francophone european countries.

Only in French speaking countries where English people would also likely be in the audience. So she sang the intro in Belgium and Ottawa.......but not in Paris (other than the first show), Nice, Arras, Montreal, Quebec, Geneva or Monte Carlo. So nearly all the French shows had no acapella intro.

Really? I went to three shows in Paris and was convinced she did the acapella... My memory is playing games on me! I know it was two years ago but I should still remember a detail like that. At one point I was convinced that Think Twice was included on my All The Way DVD!

Am I right in thinking that she did not perform L'amour existe encore in Europe (France a least)? And that this song replaced Ziggy in Canada? Also, I know she sang The Prayer in Nice but she did not perform it in Paris. Was this song an addition or did it replace a song from the Paris setlist?

That's probably right. I honestly can't remember if she performed it in Paris or not but (I think) I remember being disappointed that she didn't do it in Nice. (somebody will probably tell me now that she did do it in Nice!).

I'm just amazed I can't recall all of this - I thought I had committed every last detail to memory.

The Prayer was sung for the first time in Amsterdam, it didn't really replace a song in particular. TJTWIM was dropped in Europe and TT was only sang in the UK (and Ireland?) IMO it would have been better to have sung TT here to, as it was her first number 1 here

 

but I don't think the English setlist changed again after Amsterdam...

 

She began the first French concert with all the French songs that are on the Montreal cd, but she sang Ziggy instead of LAEE in Europe and on the first night in Antwerp she also sang On ne change pas and Tout L'or des Hommes (which I still wanna slap her for for removing it from the setlist )

I am just watching Céine Live a Montréal, if I can call it that. I'm so glad we have L'amour existe encore. I fell in love with this song after the Québec gig where she sang with that husky voiced man. I love it! She sings it better now than she did 10 years ago! Incredible. Compared to Sur les plaines the first "Pour t'aimer une fois pour toute..." is a little restrained but the rest of the song is amazing. It might be the bottle of white wine talking (!), but it brings a tear to the eye!

 

 

Somebody posted this link elsewhere and it just shows me how much our girl really does still have it (not that I ever doubted it!) She always gives a solid performance, but this one has extra energy, flair and emotion somehow and I was just wondering if anybody could direct me to such powerful bootlegs of L'amour existe encore or Je sais pas that might exist. The ones we have our amazing but if anybody knows of any other...

 

Céline, you make life worth living. Whatever worries or stresses we might have from day to day, I can honestly say that the happiness I feel when I see and hear you live makes it all worthwhile!

:blink: Are you joking? I though you would say its better than the Olympia or Live à Paris version ( ) but even the 2001 Quebec telethon is better than the way she sings it now!!

No seriously, I love the Sur les plaines performance - just wish she did the whole thing herself! - and although the Montréal version is a bit restrained and drawn out, it has something about it. I'm not familiar with the telethon version (!) unless it's the 9/11 one? I love this performance - definitley one of the best - but if there are others please direct me to them!!
