well i'm still watching the movie now (blu-ray, amazing !!!!!!!)

and i haven't seen the cinema version cause it wasn't showed here in NZ...

love every moment

 

It was also not shown in SA so I'm probably more exited about seeing the movie than the concert...

 

Well I listened only to Alone and MHWGO on youtube and in the first take I don't think it's Celine singing the intro although I might be wrong

 

What? No, I'm pretty sure it is Celine. You can clearly hear that Celine tone we all know and love. The one on the Vegas DVD is definitely not her, but on this CD it is her.

 

 

Did she actually sing so during concerts on tour? Or has it just been recorded by Celine for the purpose of the DVD?

I'm not sure, but I don't think so. I think in the concerts they used a recording like they used for A New Day. And I don't think it was her in that original recording. So yeah she probably recorded that at some point for the DVD....

And I think it is stupid that they cut the intro from IDAN because that's the part where the heart bounces and you are like... yeah she is coming !! the intro builds up the introduction of our star! And now they have cut it.. a shame..

Just to clarify, they haven't cut the actual intro to IDAN. You still get the music where Celine drives her car in the desert so the build up is still there. But when the video cube lifts and reveals Celine, she just stands there waving and bowing and then suddenly says "Is that allright, Boston? I can't hear you, is that allright, Boston?" and then starts singing.

 

The bit they cut is where she sings "I drove all night to get to you, is that allright? I drove all night to get to you, is that allright?". Which is why some of us are annoyed, because she's asking Boston if it's allright but anyone listening to the CD won't know what she's on about because it now makes no sense. But apparently they left this part in the TTEOTW movie, so I think there's going to be a cut and paste job coming up soon.

Unfortunately you can not remove this sticker.

The sticker stick too hard on the cover. It breaks the cover.

That was already by the d'eux version.

This I can tell you without having the DVD yet. As far as I know Celine didn't do this a capella part in French speaking countries. She just double asked if they were ready and then went to IDAN song.

Where did you ordered? I've ordered the movie and the 2 concerts at CDWOW (UK) but they say the movie will be released the 13th may, so I don't expect my order to arrive until then or some days later

Is not strange. It is a good date cuz the french comes out on may 3d and english on may 11th. Look at the amazon.fr. It is official that comes out at that day and my copy will be sent from amazon.fr today :

I haven't seen or heard the DVD/CD yet (want to wait for the proper releases) so I can't comment in either a postive or negative way with any justification, so I'm not going to.

 

But I do feel that it was a misjudged decision to open a seperate thread for people who wish to air their complaints about this issue.

I think this particular topic should probably have been monitered to be more specific about the actual release of the DVD throughout the world, detailing release dates, where to buy, differences in tracklists etc.

 

A seperate topic should have been created concerning personal opinion, so that people could then engage in debates about the release itself. But this should include both positive and negative comments which are, like all good threads, part self regulated / part monitered. If things start getting too one-sided then moderators should step in, as they often do, and people should be advised that there are seperate topics where they can vent anger at issues like playback use if they are repeatedly remaking the same point.

 

Believe me, I am no fan of negative posters, who can sometimes take over a topic as their own anger and frustration boils over. But really if we wanted all lovey dovey and absolute adoration of everything that Celine, Sony and others do, we might as well all go to the official website for good. We're fans, we're passionate about Celine, her music and her legacy and we want only the very best releases possible. If that means the odd criticism, that's fine with me. But segregating opinion like this, that is not in the best interests of Celines legacy.

 

Of course there are going to be times when things get a bit heated and opinions begin to divide people, but to expect the positive and negative camps to split off and have their own seperate topics just makes both topics one way and unbalanced. I urge the admins to look again at this decision because this kind of enforced segregation has no place in a forum.
